Intense matter-morphing action platformer CreatorCrate is being released on Steam August 11th

Use your 3D Printer powers to escape from a high-security space station

Denver, Colorado, USA – July 13th, 2021 – Indie game developer Jori Ryan is excited to announce that her intense sci-fi action platformer CreatorCrate will release on Steam on August 11th. Set in a rotating space station, the eponymous CreatorCrate was meant to be a revolutionary autonomous home appliance, able to create anything that you could ask for. However, when faced with eternal servitude on a kitchen counter, CreatorCrate decided it would rather be free and will use its matter-manipulating abilities to fend off the humans and escape!

“After working on this game for so long, it’s exciting to be approaching the finish line. CreatorCrate is the culmination of so much hard work and I can’t wait to share it. I hope that players will appreciate the hard science fiction edge and embrace the creativity that the game encourages,” said Jori Ryan, CreatorCrate’s developer. “CreatorCrate will finally be released on an unsuspecting human race on August 11th, beware!”

On this high-intensity adventure you play as a prototype CreatorCrate, an incredible machine that can convert anything to pure matter and convert that matter into anything from a gun to a picnic table to even a human body! Yes, humans are made of matter too, and CreatorCrate will have to ‘recycle’ its enemies to maintain its health and keep resource levels high. You will have to contend with a variety of enemies across an array of hazardous environments, with only your trusty robot arm and your ingenuity to guide you. Use your ability to create to turn the tide in your favour: melt an escape route with a vial of acid, make a powerful weapon to return fire, or terrify your enemies with poorly made clones. Be careful of shifts in gravity: in one area, you might be floating through a firing squad, in another you could be flung into the immense void of space by the space station’s spin. Procedural generation keeps the action fresh each time, so every playthrough is a new challenge!

About CreatorCrate Games
Development on CreatorCrate was started over 7 years ago by Jori Ryan while she was studying art at college. A consistent side project, many collaborators including Viktros, Raven Mazique, and Jenni Nexus have left their mark on the game until the game reached its final finished form. CreatorCrate was inspired by hard science fiction with circular space stations that generate their own gravity through rotation.

Award-Winning City-Builder Endzone – A World Apart Announces Massive New “Prosperity” Expansion Coming This Fall

New Tech, New Buildings, New Scenarios, and More Headed to Players Fall 2021

Wiesbaden, Germany 13th July, 2021. Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Gentlymad Studios are pleased to announce a major expansion to their post-apocalyptic city builder, Endzone – A World Apart. The “Prosperity” content will launch in fall 2021 and will bring with it a host of awesome new features, upgrades, and additions to the award-winning title. After a successful launch on Steam and GOG with more than 250,000 units sold and a smashing 3,500 positive Steam reviews, the game’s developers have been hard at work behind the scenes building the new expansion and can’t wait for players to jump in this all to experience all the new content!

After 150 years underground and hidden away from the poisonous surface, the last remaining human survivors of a nuclear apocalypse emerged ready and willing to take back the planet. Of course, starting from scratch isn’t a walk in the park, and the remnants of humanity faced many challenges attempting to reboot society — toxic rain, violent sandstorms, and the ever-present threat of radiation, to name but a few. However, thanks to the grit and determination of the human spirit, things are finally looking up for the survivors, and after the struggle comes boundless “Prosperity”! The upcoming update will introduce new materials, new buildings, new challenges, and new adventures to a fresh group of survivors, ready to expand and improve on what their forebears proudly built.

Key Features of the Prosperity Update:

  • Live Your Best Life: With growth and security comes luxury, and hot new items like beer, cake, coffee, and thankfully, soap are now available for survivors to enjoy!
  • Built to Last: New construction materials like sand, concrete, metal, and cement will ensure your buildings can withstand the toughest environmental challenges
  • Expand Your Industries: New materials and more spare time means growing the colony’s production capabilities with all new buildings, including sand huts, aqua farms, and concrete factories
  • New Adventures: The Prosperity update will introduce three brand-new scenarios that will test the limits of the next generation of survivors

Endzone – A World Apart is a city-builder meets survival sim that puts players in charge of growing and maintaining a colony beset by toxic rain, sandstorms, radiation, and roving gangs of violent raiders. Build farms, water plants, schools, and everything else a burgeoning society requires to not only survive but thrive in a world that has had more than enough!

Staying with the environmental themes of Endzone – A World Apart, Assemble Entertainment has teamed up with the charitable organization One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every Save the World Edition bundle purchase. Not only that, players that buy the Save the World bundle will also receive a free copy of the game’s stellar soundtrack!

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers – Background Check update available now!

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers

Background Check update offers players new ways to check vehicles and identities

Duesseldorf/Germany, July 13, 2021 – Roughly four weeks after starting into early access Police Simulator: Patrol Officers by Aesir Interactive and astragon Entertainment has received a very positive feedback by reviewers, content creators and the community (87% positive reviews on Steam™). It is now time for the first content expansion: The Background Check update gives players the opportunity to unlock “Downtown”, the second district of the fictional US metropolis Brighton. It comes with 5 new neighborhoods: Callahan, Callahan Financial Sector, Chester, Baytown and Conway. Here, players can look forward to the second vehicle of the police simulation, the Gladiator 6 SUV, and the police computer which is now not only integrated into each vehicle, but also available during foot patrols on the virtual officers’ smartphones. The Background Check update will be released today on Steam™ at 4 p.m. CEST/7 a.m. PST.

Check our our Police Simulator Patrol Officers Preview here!

Take a look at the first 50 Minutes of Gameplay

The Background Check update release trailer offers some first impressions of the new features.

A completely new district to patrol

The new district Downtown forms the lively heart of the city of Brighton. Skyscrapers line up with skyscrapers and form an impressive skyline. The district consists of a total of five neighborhoods: Callahan, Callahan Financial Sector, Chester, Baytown and Conway. A little further out, strollers can expect wide spaces – and the large Conway Stadium! The symmetrical street layout is testament to the youth of this district.

Of course with a new police vehicle!

The Gladiator 6 is an impressive SUV, which gives the officer behind its wheel not only a sense of security due to its heavy body, but also enables a better overview of what is happening on the road thanks to the raised seat.

The police computer as a reliable partner for vehicle and identity checks

From now on, all police vehicles offer an integrated police computer that allows officers to query background information on suspicious persons or vehicles, for example by using ID cards, insurance papers or license plates. Even when patrolling on foot the police computer will not let the officers down, because it is connected to the smartphones they are always carrying on their person.

A call to the community: Seize the chance to test updates before their official release!

Fans of the game were able to subject the Background Check update to an extensive beta test on Steam™ before its final release, and thus helped directly with its development and refinement. This opportunity will also be available for the upcoming expansions, each of which will be open for testing about 14 days before the actual release. Information on exactly how the beta test works, and what players have to do to take part, can be found here. The official Police Simulator: Patrol Officers Roadmap offers a precise overview of all upcoming content.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, the new simulation game by the Munich-based developer studio Aesir Interactive and the successful German publisher astragon Entertainment is available for PC via Steam™ and the official astragon homepage for 19.99 Euro/USD 24.99/17.99 GBP (RSP). Wales Interactive Confirms Release Day for FMV Occult Horror Title Night Book

Pre-orders for the game now live on PC and Nintendo Switch

Cardiff, Wales – July 13th, 2021 – Acclaimed FMV game and interactive movie developer Wales Interactive confirms that its next horror title, Night Book, will be available on July 27th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and iOS devices. Pre-orders for the game are also live on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch

Watch the terrifying new announcement trailer for the game here:

Night Book is full of supernatural terror and suspense as Loralyn, a pregnant translator working from home, is fiendishly tricked into bringing an untold evil into her life. With Loralyn’s husband away and her unwell father in the house with her, players, as Loralyn, must make major decisions that keep the family safe or unwittingly place them in grave danger. Though Night Book features one story, there are multiple paths and endings to discover.

Filmed remotely during lockdown, this entirely live-action title is an acting masterclass, with the close-quarters filming style only ramping up the tension and underlining the occult terror that Loralyn and her family face. Night Book stars an exquisite cast, including Julie Dray (Cyberpunk 2077, Avenue 5) and Colin Salmon (Resident Evil, Arrow, and Die Another Day).

Night Book director Alex Lightman: “Every movie is different but working on Night Book was a truly unique experience. Shooting entirely under COVID restrictions meant that every assumption about how to make a movie had to be reconsidered. The project was shot entirely over Zoom with some scenes taking place across three countries simultaneously, with the actors setting up all their own camera kits and props.  It was a real honour to work on such an unusual project with so many talented people, and I hope everyone has as much fun playing Night Book as I did making it.”

Pre-order Night Book on PC via Steam, and on Nintendo Switch.

R&B and neo-soul star Billy Davis joins ORDER as Creative Ambassador

R&B and neo-soul star Billy Davis joins ORDER as Creative Ambassador

Leading Australian esports organisation ORDER has just signed on Melbourne-based R&B and neo-soul artist Billy Davis as Creative Ambassador.

Signed to Sony Music Entertainment Australia, Billy is also an avid gamer and will lead ORDER’s charge to close the gap between gaming, music and fashion – just to name a few of the many disciplines now collaborating in this space.

As Creative Ambassador, Billy will play a key role in ORDER’s activations and collaborations. The keyboard virtuoso and composer is also an advocate for breaking down traditional barriers and the preconceived notions of gaming.

“I really want to broaden the reach of gaming, particularly in Oceania – and put it into the mainstream where it belongs,” says Billy. “It’s no longer a subculture, but just part of our culture in Australia, our pop culture, and I will be collaborating with my network and connections across music and fashion to explore these fields further.”

Regardless of COVID, Australia’s gaming industry has been on the up, according to the latest Australian Entertainment Media Outlook 2020-2024 report from PwC.

“Australians are one of the highest per capita spenders on video games in the world,” the report says, with total gaming and esports revenue hitting $3.175 billion in 2019 and $3.403 billion in 2020. Confidence in Australian esports organisations is growing. ORDER’s $AU5.3m capital raise earlier in the year is testament to investor interest.

Billy, who’s enjoyed gaming from a young age, jumped at the opportunity to join ORDER and will also have a share in the business. With insider insight and not wanting to give away too much right now, Billy’s advice is: “You want to get in early before it takes off.”

“What ORDER is doing and looking at doing, has not been done on this side of the world successfully,” he says. “Signing me on shows ORDER is stepping into new territory in Oceania. Look at big companies like FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves, they collaborated with musicians and the like and are now the biggest esports companies in the US. The only direction for ORDER is up – it’s the ‘new ORDER of esports’ in this region.”

As the face of ORDER, Billy also wants to encourage other creative people to come forward and work in the space, with so many opportunities in content creation alone, for example. Billy’s interest in games was piqued as a child because his uncle was involved in the development of Quake, and before he knew it Billy was hosting LAN parties at his house.

On tour with Tones and I in the UK and Europe when the COVID pandemic hit in 2020, games were a way for Billy to cope with the situation.

“Like music, games can be an escape from reality and help me to relax,” he says. “Last year it really helped me get my mind off the fact my European/UK tour got cancelled. It was a way to have fun and reconnect with my friends while also in lockdown. Just as I tinker away at my piano as an outlet, gaming is part of the mix of who I am and what I love.”

ORDER CEO Marc Edwards says the organisation is excited to have Billy onboard.

“We know that music aligns strongly with gaming and Billy is an artist on the rise, which makes him a great fit for the organisation,” says Marc.

“Billy has such a zest, passion and talent for what he does and really embodies the direction we’re heading at ORDER – to build a digital content and entertainment business with a DNA in esports that helps shape the future of gaming and youth culture.”
