Welcome Fennel to Button City, a charming small town filled with a diverse group of anthropomorphic animal residents. Reveals plans for developing two new VR gaming titles within both its Japan and US-based studios; Kunimitsu to bring strong background in blockchain technology and vision for the virtual metaverse

Sci-fi colony management sim Stardeus is reaching for the stars with its Kickstarter campaign, launching August 16th.

Solo developer, Kodo Linija, is excited to announce their sci-fi colony sim Stardeus will launch its Kickstarter campaign on the 16th of August. Stardeus takes inspiration from titles like RimWorld, Factorio, Dwarf Fortress, Oxygen Not Included, and FTL to deliver the depth of a colony management sim rarely seen among the stars.

In Stardeus, you play as an immortal AI who has an army of robots and drones at their disposal. Like all colony sim games, how you play Stardeus is entirely up to you. Grow a human colony on your ship, sure. Start a robot uprising, why not. You can even choose to turn all your crew into human batteries to satisfy your greed for electricity. The stars really are the limit when it comes to the open-ended gameplay of Stardeus.

To really make your ship thrive you’ll need to manage your crew, both robotic and human, all offering different personalities; ensure power is sustainable; explore space with resource gathering expeditions and be sure to squash any face-hugging aliens before an infestation breaks out.

Embedded in every mode and base you build is the focus on AI storytelling. This off-the-cuff approach to narrative will make every situation on a ship unique to the player’s own personal experience. This storytelling can result in eye-watering comedic moments from the interaction of crew members to face-palming fires that destroy half your space empire. Nothing in Stardeus is a scripted story, it’s your story and your rules.

Stardeus will launch its Kickstarter campaign on Monday 16th of August. A playable demo will be available to everyone, offering up to 2 hours of gameplay. There is instant alpha access available to backers, which offers around 15 hours of progress gameplay. However, there is no time lock on the alpha access so players can build until their hearts are content.

Tomas Varaneckas is the founder of one-man game development studio Kodo Linija based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Their first game, Bloody Rally Show, paved the way for the project they had been dreaming of making, a mechanically deep sci-fi colony sim that would go on to become Stardeus.

Agricultural technology manufacturer CLAAS today presented the TRION 750 TERRA TRAC, its brand new top model in the compact combine harvester class. In close cooperation with the international agricultural machinery manufacturer from Germany, publisher and developer GIANTS Software announced the digital presence of the new machine for the upcoming Farming Simulator 22. Thanks to augmented reality, fans can now already take a look at the harvester.

Top model in three versions
With the CLAAS TRION 720, 730 and 750, players can choose from three versions of the combine harvester with the TERRA TRAC tracked undercarriage that protects the soil. The top model, the TRION 750, has an output of 435 hp and a grain tank capacity of 12,000 litres, just like its real-life counterpart. The CONVIO FLEX 1080 also finds its way into Farming Simulator 22 as a matching header.

Sneak Peek in Augmented Reality
To get a taste of the virtual CLAAS TRION 750 TERRA TRAC right now, fans can embed the combine harvester in their environment through the camera of their smartphone or tablet and view it from every angle – as if the real harvester was standing directly in front of the camera lens. The augmented reality model is available via QR code and link in the mobile view on farming-simulator.com.

“At home in every field”
When developing the new combine harvester, it was particularly important to manufacturer CLAAS to design a machine that could cope with the tasks of all field types. “Regardless of whether it is hilly, level, large or small, located near the coast or in a rather dry area,” CLAAS promises. For the three different regions in the upcoming Farming Simulator 22 (inspired by the Midwest of the USA, the hilly Alps and a Mediterranean region), the new TRION is thus ideally suited thanks to its precision, performance and reliability.
