World of Tanks Brings the August Heat

The good times are rolling out to mark the 11th anniversary of World of Tanks and the release of Update 1.14

August 5, 2021 — Things are hotting up for World of Tanks with August Heat. Incorporating a new update, the anniversary celebrations and more, this occasion will be something no tanker wants to miss.

A major part of August Heat is Update 1.14, and there’s plenty of new additions, including the Czechoslovakian heavies. The line will start at Tier VII and then, at Tier VIII, players will be able to take advantage of a feature unique to the line: the choice of two guns, a classic cyclical one or a two-shell autoloader. Both armaments are equal in performance and stats (calibre, alpha and elevation arc), but will allow tankers to choose a weapon which better suits their play style.

As well as the introduction of the Czech brawlers, a brand-new map is hitting World of Tanks: Safe Haven. Available for Random Battles, the 1000×1000-meter summer map is set in 1960’s Japan and this new battlefield features a demilitarized civilian port that is gradually crowding out the small fishing village that was there first. The soundtrack to this map is the result of a collaboration between the World of Tanks audio team and Akira Yamaoka, renowned composer of Silent Hill fame.

Another new addition is Field Modification. Allowing tankers to precisely configure their favourite vehicles depending on their preferred combat roles, these mechanics are available for all Collectors’ and Tier VI-X vehicles, excluding rental ones. Also, all the vehicles that have access to Field Modifications will receive a new parameter, Role, which was introduced in Ranked Battles previously and, in total, there are 15 available.

Additionally, to mark the 11th birthday of World of Tanks, players will be treated to valuable rewards and cool gifts. While the team are keeping their cards close to their chest, the event is looking to be one tankers will never forget with presents aplenty.

And finally, August Heat will see the introduction of Topography, a brand-new mode which will test tankers navigational skills, the return of the fan-favourite Frontline and much more!

2K has announced that NBA® 2K22, the next version of the top-rated and top-selling NBA video game simulation series, is unveiling a new approach to its in-game soundtrack that includes an all-new integration with Seasons, along with an array of music from top artists, including Aussie duo A.B. Original, Aitch, Freddie Gibbs, Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Metro Boomin, Saweetie, Skepta, Smino, Travis Scott, and many more.

“Basketball and music are so intertwined and have become an integral part of our game,” said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Global Marketing for NBA 2K. “NBA 2K has become a global platform for music discovery and that continues with NBA 2K22. Players will be able to discover music throughout the year via “First Fridays,” where new songs will be added to the soundtrack on the first Friday of every new Season. FARMING SIMULATOR LEAGUE: GIANTS SOFTWARE RETURNS TO IN-PERSON EVENTS

GIANTS Software, developer and publisher of the worldwide popular Farming Simulator series, announces in-person events for the current Farming Simulator League (FSL) esports season. So far, tournaments in the third season have been held as online events. All participants can now look forward to real events in Bavaria, Germany, subject to compliance with the relevant hygiene concepts.

August tournament in GIANTS Studio
The qualified teams will play the final round of the eighth tournament on 14th and 15th August in the GIANTS Studio of the German GIANTS Software branch in Erlangen. There, the best FSL teams will meet each other in real life for the first time in the current season and fight face to face in groups of three for ranking points and tournament prizes. A highlight video of the last tournament played provides an atmospheric preview.

September tournament at HÖRMANN
From 11th to 12th September, the next knockout tournament will take place in Buchloe at the Allgäu family business Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG. The specialist for agricultural and commercial construction offers enough space and comfort for an exciting competition and event atmosphere in its modern and spacious production hall. HÖRMANN itself provides an FSL team consisting of factory employees, which currently occupies fourth place in the overall season standings.

Live broadcasts of the Sunday events
The final round of the last eight teams remaining in the tournament will be commented on and broadcast live from 10 am on Sundays, 15th August and 12th September on the official GIANTS Software channels on Twitch and YouTube. GIANTS Software is also planning real events for the two other remaining events in the season calendar. Further information will be announced shortly.

Free esports tournament client
Developer and publisher GIANTS Software is organising the FSL, which has a total prize pool of 250,000 Euros, as the competitive esports mode for Farming Simulator. Via the free Tournament Client for Season 3, every interested fan of the Farming Simulator can register for the FSL and prove themselves in the qualifying rounds with the potential of competing against one of the seeded sponsored teams. In the tournaments, which are held as knockout events, the teams collect league points, which are used to qualify for the big season finale in November 2021.

The competition requires teamwork and skill on a separate map in the PC version in order to harvest grain together, produce bales and then deliver them to your own barn faster than the competing team.

ANALGESIC PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES ‘SEPHONIE’ FOR Q4 2021 RELEASE ON PC

August XX, 2021 — Analgesic Productions is pleased to reveal its upcoming story-driven 3D platformer Sephonie will launch within Q4 2021 on Windows PC and Mac — with a demo currently available on Steam.

Memories linger across time, deep under the island of Sephonie. Explore a massive cave network, and link with unidentified species using the novel Puzzle Grid system. Explore the island’s depths as shipwrecked biologists Amy, Ing-wen, and Riyou, unravelling mysteries both scientific and spiritual, watched over by a supernatural being who exists beyond human history.

Next-generation platforming

The caves of Sephonie vary wildly from lush, jade chasms to reddish flora-filled sandstone caverns. Their physical and rocky layouts demand a fitting moveset! Fling yourself over high ledges using the satisfying Teledash Vault, activate the quick-but-risky Sprint when you need to cover long distances, and deftly Wallrun across dangerous outcroppings. When the obstacles become insurmountable, use the plants and animals of the environment to unlock powerful new abilities like soaring high jumps and swift grapples.

The Relaxing and Casual Puzzle Grid System

The trio must research the island’s unknown creatures by Linking with them. Using the one-of-a-kind “Puzzle Grid” system, you’ll rotate and place a series of multi-colored puzzle pieces onto the board, and connect large, same-colored islands. The caves are full of both small and massive creatures — each with their own importance to the cave’s ecosystem and each with a different challenge to overcome.

There’s no ‘right’ solution to Linking: use your intuition to react to the creature’s moves and what appears on the board, and you will soon be on your way to success!

A Research Trip Gone Awry

In the near future, three biologists are on a joint research trip to use their ONYX implants to research the creatures of the uninhabited Sephonie Island. However, a mysterious phenomenon destroys their ship, leaving them shipwrecked.

Amy Lim, Taiwanese-American and bold leader, hails from the midwestern USA town of Bloomington. Riyou Hayashi, an analytically-minded Japanese-Taiwanese researcher, calls the bustling Tokyo his home. And Ing-wen Lin, a kind and considerate Taiwanese scientist, lives in Taipei.

The trio will find their motivations and loyalties put to the test as they navigate Sephonie’s caverns, facing not only rocks and creatures but also their deepest memories and dreams.  As they grow more intimate with each other and the island, an ancient force, brewing deep in the island’s abyss, may threaten their newfound relationship, and the world…
