360 Roguelike shooter Orbital Bullet Gets Huge New Early Access Update with ‘Harvest Season’

“Electrifying” New Biome Brings New Enemy Types, Weapons, Upgrades, and Challenges

Wiesbaden, Germany August 26th, 2021. Get ready for some seriously ‘shocking’ news! Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer SmokeStab today launched another action-packed Steam Early Access update for their unique 360° rogue-lite shooter Orbital Bullet! The Harvest Season Update introduces a slew of new content “Joule” just love! A gorgeous (and deadly) new planet to explore, four new weapons, five new upgrades, four new skills, and some bangin’ new tunes to keep you charged up and ready to dish out some electrified death!

Key Features of the Harvest Season Update Include:

  • New Weapons: The Charged Laser, Burstgun, Cannonball, and Bouncing Shotgun
  • New Upgrades: Melee Swing, Long Shot, Hovering, Critical Ranged Attack, and Drone Armor
  • New Class Skills: The Auto Turret, Deadly Dodge, Rocketeer Jetpack, Boosted Weapon Switch
  • New Enemy Types: Plenty of new ‘shocking’ enemies to battle sure to leave players ec-”static” with glory!

While it might look like a great place to host a Tron-themed rave, the planet Talos is anything but a fun place to party. Even the sadistic goons at Dread Corp. won’t venture out without protective suits, armor, and robotic drones. However, it’s an extremely important planet for any evil corporation thanks to the Harvest Fields. The never-ending lightning storms provide a near-endless supply of energy — which is useful for powering the Neuropods, which Dread Corp. installs in the strongest hosts to create and control new elite soldiers.

Luckily, players won’t have to head in under-equipped, thanks to a whole bunch of new weapons, skills, and upgrades. Being on a planet full of electricity is super handy for charging these new firearms, and the Charged Laser, Burstgun, Cannonball, and Bouncing Shotgun can all be powered up by holding the trigger button — making for a larger, messier, and more powerful destructive force!

It’s nice to have a better gun, but sometimes combat requires a more tactical approach. The Harvest Season Update comes with five new upgrades, including the distance-increasing Long Shot, the Melee Swing that can stun enemies up close, a damage-reducing swarm of drones, a critical chance increaser, and a hover ability.

But wait, there’s more! Four new class skills are also available to players with the new update. The Auto Turret drops a tower that shoots plasma projectiles horizontally at enemies. The Rocket Backpack allows players to charge up a homing missile that seeks out enemies in close range. The Empowered Weapon swap encourages diversity in death-dealing by providing a temporary power boost which increases weapon damage every time the weapon is changed. Finally, the Dodge Attack skill allows players to simultaneously avoid an enemy attack and give ‘em what for with a slash of your knife!

More details about the Harvest Season Update can be found in the Devblog, which also shows some of the concept art behind The Harvest Fields.

Orbital Bullet is currently in Early Access on PC via Steam for £10.29 / €12.99. Stay up to date on the game by following on Instagram and Facebook, and of course, visit the website at https://www.orbitalbullet.com

Assemble is also offering a special ‘Save The World Edition’ on Steam for £18.99 / €22.99 that includes the thumpin’ official soundtrack. The publisher will make a 10% donation to Ocean Cleanup from every ‘Save The World Edition’ edition sold.

Throughout Early Access, developer SmokeStab Studio invites players, fans, and all members of the community to join the official Discord to share feedback, gameplay recommendations, content suggestions for new weapons, challenges, bosses, planets, enemies, and more during the pre-launch phase.

If you’d like to chat with a member of the development team to talk about the inner workings of Orbital Bullet or the Harvest Season Update, we’d be more than happy to help out!

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It’s not just the creatures who are a threat—it’s every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits 12 players—playing solo or in teams of two or teams of three —against each other as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map, while Hunt’s quickplay mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything. Hunt is available now on Steam. For more information, visit www.huntshowdown.com.

NFT trading card game Doctor Who: Worlds Apart launches new ‘Time Lord Victorious’ card set

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Doctor Who: Worlds Apart will launch its second permanent card set, ‘Time Lord Victorious’, on August 26th 2021.

The set will include two brand new packs of the cards themed around the transmedia series of the same name, which follows Doctors from across the series as they face Daleks and the ancient alien race known as the Kotturuh.

Doctor Who: Worlds Apart is an officially licensed digital trading card game published by Reality Gaming Group that has been in development since early 2021, combining the richness and variety of Doctor Who lore with a deep, strategic game mechanic for PC and Mac.

The ‘Time Lord Victorious’ set marks the first time that completely new cards have been added permanently to the game, alongside the original cards released as part of the “Unearthly Origins” set in November 2020.

Each of the fifty new cards features hand-drawn artwork, characters, companions and enemies from the Doctor Who universe, classic and new.

All Doctor Who: Worlds Apart cards available to purchase use Non-Fungible Token (NFT) technology, which enables players to sell and trade the cards with each other on an open marketplace. Every card in the game is available in beautiful 3D frames, which allow players to create custom decks that are truly unique, making every card a collector’s item.

The cards in the ‘Time Lord Victorious’ set are available in either in the ‘Core Pack’, priced at $4.99, or the ‘Premium Pack’, priced at $49.99. All the cards, artworks, characters and stats are the same between the packs, so you only need the Core Pack to enjoy the new mechanics and gameplay. The Premium Pack, designed with collectors and NFT enthusiasts in mind, features the brand new  ‘Time Lord Victorious’ and ‘Kotturuh’ frames and will only be available for a limited time.

All Doctor Who: Worlds Apart cards get minted onto the blockchain when players open packs, and are assigned a unique serial number so every card is truly a one of a kind. Serial #1 cards of popular characters can reach high values amongst digital collectors on the marketplace and can even be exported to public marketplaces like Opensea, representing true digital ownership.

This latest set of cards will provide players with new ways to experience the game when the alpha launches later this year,” said Reality Gaming Group’s Co-Founder Tony Pearce, “Because every Time Lord Victorious card is an NFT that you own, you can trade and sell your cards directly with other players and Doctor Who fans, building your unique collection of cards and frames just like you would in a physical trading card game.”

About Reality Gaming GroupReality Gaming Group develops innovative games and marketplaces that combine the best of traditional gaming with new technology based on the blockchain and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). We’re currently working on NFT based trading card game Doctor Who: Worlds Apart and mobile AR shooter, Reality Clash. The Reality Gaming Group development team has more than 20 years’ experience across Mobile, PC, Console, AR and VR games platforms.

Reality Gaming Studios and Sustainability

All Reality Gaming Group eNFTs, including minted Doctor Who: Worlds Apart cards, run on our own self-created “sidechain” of the Ethereum mainnet. This allows us to make substantial reductions to the amount of energy used per transaction. We have recently integrated with layer 2 network Polygon to further reduce these energy costs. Reality Gaming Group is committed to developing our “Game For Earth” energy plan and will continue to seek to minimise energy expenditure on all NFT projects. All non-blockchain data generated by Reality Gaming Group is stored and processed on servers that use 100% renewable energy.

Steel Meets Steel: Sabaton and World of Tanks Present A New In-Game Event & ‘Steel Commanders’ Music Video

The Swedish battle metallers will headline the ‘Spirit of War’ event, which offers up the first-ever Tier IX Premium tank

August 26, 2021— Get ready to headbang with the latest collaboration between Swedish metallers, Sabaton, and World of Tanks. The two facets of heavy metal are about to really put on a show. Kicking off in full force with the ‘Steel Commanders’ music video that is an essential addition to every tanker’s battle music playlist, the band will also be staging a massive in-game event that will reward tankers with a little bit of history: the first-ever Tier IX Premium tank!

“It’s been a great experience working with the World of Tanks and Wargaming guys on this huge project. Together, we made an epic music video for ‘Steel Commanders’ and it’s the perfect way to kick off our massive collaboration,” states Joakim Brodén, lead vocalist of Sabaton. “We’re proud to be part of this brand new in-game event that features the first-ever Tier IX Premium tank as the ultimate prize, as well as us as crew members!”

Apart from the music video, also starring the GRAMMY Award-nominated virtuoso cellist Tina Guo, Sabaton are headlining a new in-game event: Spirit of War. The event will see tankers take on challenges to reap the utmost reward: the game’s first-ever Tier IX Premium tank, the Strv K. Eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed it in the ‘Steel Commanders’ video, and it will be manned by a Sabaton crew that includes Brodén, who recorded a custom voiceover that’s full of Easter eggs for fans to discover. Once tankers earn their Strv K, they will be tasked with getting the exclusive ‘Spirit of War’ 3D style.

“We’ve really enjoyed working with the Sabaton guys and we’re happy to have them onboard this project,” states Max Chuvalov, Publishing Director, World of Tanks. “Our players love their music, and we complement each other as we are both fascinated with military history. Plus, we hope the new tune will inspire tankers to go that extra mile for the victory.”

Even if players ultimately do not finish the marathon, they will earn plenty of goodies along the way and each stage they clear will allow them a set 10% discount on purchasing the Strv K, and the same is true for the 3D style. The Strv K also features its own Sabaton soundtrack and will allow you to earn bonds in Random Battles, so it’s a vehicle no tanker will want to miss out on, if not for owning a piece of World of Tanks history. The Spirit of War event will run from August 27 through September 6.
