Art-Driven Tactical RPG Annulus is Out Now

A bold new strategy experience blending striking visuals and innovative design, now available on Steam and mobile

April 8th, 2026 – The next evolution of tactical RPGs has arrived. Annulus is available now across Steam, the App Store, and Google Play, bringing a bold new entry to the modern strategy RPG landscape.

Blending innovative battlefield design, deep strategic gameplay, and striking visual direction, Annulus sets out to redefine the genre with a fresh, art-driven approach to tactical combat.

Reinventing Tactical Combat from the Ground Up

At the heart of Annulus lies a distinctive battlefield system – a bold departure from traditional design. This new structure transforms how players approach positioning, movement, and control, turning every encounter into a dynamic tactical puzzle.

Rather than relying on static strategies, players must constantly adapt—anticipating enemy actions, optimizing spatial advantage, and executing carefully timed decisions. The result is a combat system that feels both intuitive and deeply strategic, rewarding foresight, creativity, and precision at every turn.

Deep Strategy Meets Accessible Design

Annulus is designed to appeal to a wide spectrum of players, offering layered tactical depth for seasoned strategy fans alongside streamlined controls and clear readability for newcomers. A diverse roster of heroes, each with distinct abilities, roles, and synergies, opens the door to flexible team compositions that reward experimentation and mastery.

From high-stakes encounters to long-term progression, the game delivers a satisfying balance between approachability and strategic complexity.

A Striking Dark-Fantasy World with Premium Visual Craftsmanship

Set in a mysterious and atmospheric universe, Annulus features a dark, stylized fantasy aesthetic that blends elegance with tension. Every battlefield, character, and visual effect has been carefully crafted to reinforce the game’s tone:

  • Highly detailed character designs with distinctive silhouettes
  • Cinematic skill animations that emphasize impact and clarity
  • Rich environmental design that enhances immersion and tactical readability
  • A cohesive art direction that merges dark fantasy themes with modern polish

The result is a world that feels both haunting and refined, drawing players deeper into every encounter.

Epic Boss Encounters That Define the Battlefield

One of Annulus’ most striking highlights is its wide array of visually stunning and mechanically distinct boss encounters. Each boss is more than just a powerful enemy, they are fully realized characters, brought to life through unique visual identities, rich backstories and carefully designed combat mechanics.

From towering, otherworldly entities to cunning battlefield tacticians, every boss introduces new strategic challenges that push players to rethink their approach. Their abilities often reshape the rules of engagement, altering terrain, disrupting formations, or forcing players into high-risk, high-reward decisions.

Designed to test tactical mastery while delivering memorable, cinematic moments, these encounters seamlessly blend gameplay, narrative, and spectacle. Each boss fight becomes a defining experience – rewarding adaptation, precision, and strategic creativity.

Global Momentum and Platform Recognition

Even ahead of  launch, Annulus has captured significant global attention:

  • Over 1.5 million pre-registrations worldwide
  • Official featuring opportunities from both Google Play and the App Store
  • Rapidly growing international community of tactical RPG fans

This early traction highlights the game’s high production value and its clear resonance with players seeking a more refined, strategy rich experience.

Free-to-Play, Cross-Platform Experience

Annulus  is available now as a free-to-play title, making its rich tactical experience easily accessible to players worldwide. Whether on PC or mobile, the game offers a seamless, fully optimized experience tailored to each platform.

DEVIL MAY CRY 5 COLLABORATION REVEALED FOR KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI

Legendary Devil Hunters Dante, Nero, and Vergil Join the Strategic Card Battle

Tokyo, Japan (April 8, 2026) – Japanese developer Colopl today announced new details regarding a collaboration with Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 for the upcoming Nintendo Switch™ title KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI.

During the middle of the game’s story, players will encounter the iconic Devil Hunters: Dante, Nero, and Vergil. Depending on the player’s choices, they will engage in battle against these formidable foes. The Devil Hunters boast immense combat prowess and will attack players using highly powerful unique skills. While the battles will be challenging, defeating them yields massive rewards.

Upon victory, the Devil Hunters will join Tsukuyomi as powerful “Jinma” card allies, allowing players to experience the exhilarating “Stylish Action” of Devil May Cry 5 through strategic card battles. Each character features unique card effects that faithfully recreate their traits from the original game:

  • Dante (“STYLISH RANK”): The more hits dealt to the enemy within a single turn, the higher the rank increases, which in turn boosts the attack power of the cards in your hand.
  • Nero (“EXCEED”): By leaving this card in your hand when ending a turn, Nero’s attack power can be significantly increased up to three stages.
  • Vergil (“CONCENTRATION”): Attack power gradually increases up to ten stages each time a combo card effect is activated.

Furthermore, if specific conditions are met during battle, the Devil Hunters will activate their “DEVIL TRIGGER” or “SIN DEVIL TRIGGER”, further enhancing their card performance. Players will also be able to acquire their signature weapons as exclusive “Divine Gear” attack items. Items designed after Dante’s “Devil Sword Sparda” , Nero’s “Red Queen” , and Vergil’s “Yamato”  will be available, providing effects that reinforce their respective character cards.

KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop on April 23, 2026.

For more information on KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI, please visit the game’s official website here and the dedicated YouTube channel here

PlayStation introduces The Playerbase, scanning the biggest fans into blockbuster games, starting with Gran Turismo 7

For over 30 years, PlayStation has continued to look for ways to celebrate its gaming community, which has a vital role in PlayStation’s history and future. Today, PlayStation Australia is excited to offer an opportunity to bring some of its devoted fans even closer to the PlayStation experience.

PlayStation is introducing The Playerbase, a unique opportunity for PlayStation’s biggest fans to step into some of the biggest game worlds by having their likeness scanned and appear within a PlayStation game. The Playerbase will start with Gran Turismo 7, and will be looking to expand and include fans in additional PlayStation Studios titles in the near future.

This community program will be available in select markets in the Americas, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia.

For more details, including the official rules, and to submit an application for The Playerbase, visit playstation.com/the-playerbase, where you’ll be asked to answer a few questions about your experiences on PlayStation. Players will also be required to sign in with their PlayStation account ID and share additional information to participate.

After reviewing applications, PlayStation will select a limited number of finalists to participate in video interviews to learn about them and their connection to PlayStation. From there, one PlayStation fan will be selected to be featured in Gran Turismo 7 as part of The Playerbase, where they will have a special, limited-time appearance as an in-game character portrait, similar to how characters are presented throughout the game.

The selected fan will also help design a custom Fantasy Logo and a one-of-a-kind vehicle livery which will be added permanently to the Showcase menu. They will be invited to a visual arts studio in Los Angeles for a scanning day and to collaborate with a designer to create their Fantasy Logo and vehicle livery.

Over time, PlayStation looks forward to expanding The Playerbase as additional PlayStation Studios participate, having fans featured in ways that fit each game’s own style and world. Stay tuned for more updates.

The Playerbase is PlayStation’s way of saying thank you to the players who make PlayStation what it is today. The team can’t wait to meet the fans who will step into the world of PlayStation in a whole new way.

Build, Expand, and Survive the Middle Ages: City States: Medieval to release  on April 20, 2026

Lead a city-state to prosperity through cunning, commerce, and heroes in a hybrid strategy game

[Toronto, Canada] – April 7, 2026 – Reverie World Studios and indie.io are proud to announce that the latest in a long lineage of hybrid strategy games, City States: Medieval, will release into Early Access on Steam on April 20, 2026. As city-state leaders, players navigate the complex political and economic landscape of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Aided by heroic leaders, they will have to master commerce, diplomacy, and, when necessary, warfare to prevail… Or fade into obscurity.

The vibrant 12th century provides a backdrop for rewriting the history of some of the most prominent city-states of the era during the last of the medieval renaissances. As science, arts, and culture experience a revival thanks to the influx of classical works preserved in Middle Eastern cities, the growing power of kingdoms and religious strife create a fertile ground for conflicts from the Atlantic to the Urals—and incredible opportunities for trade and commerce.

Players take control of one of the city-states that rose to prominence thanks to their strategic location in the middle of these trade routes. From Novgorod in the frigid Rus, through the affluent Italian Genoa, to the arid Tripoli in Syria, each is an economic engine that can provide incredible wealth through careful planning and defense of trade routes devoted to twelve distinct trading goods, from silk to spices.

However, wealth attracts predators, and eventually, players will have to defend their claims. The engaging real-time strategy combat known from previous Reverie World Studios titles has been refined further, combining it with elements of tower defense to represent the dramatic sieges of cities from the Middle Ages. At the frontlines of both combat and diplomacy will be heroes, great leaders known from the pages of history who lead the city-states and represent the player’s own power and influence.

Their presence grants players full control over their city, its territories, and armies, as well as providing powerful bonuses. Conversely, whenever they are away, players only have a limited ability to issue commands, and the city-state is forced to make do with a maintenance government in their hero’s absence.

The mechanic requires a completely different strategic approach, forcing players to carefully weigh their options and turning every expansion into a high-risk, high-reward venture. The leader’s presence can tip the scales and force even great powers to bargain with the player’s city-state… Or leave it vulnerable to an invasion while the hero is tied up in distant lands.

High Middle Ages, high risk, high stakes in a unique hybrid real-time strategy game: Lead a city-state to victory in City States: Medieval on April 20, 2026!
