Featuring exclusive music by acclaimed composer Yoko Shimomura (known for her work on multi-million selling video games Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts), the concert video production is designed to introduce families and children to the wonder of the orchestral sound. The story has been written by celebrated German children’s author Frauke Angel, with Merregnon: Land of Silence’s production led by Thomas Böcker, who previously worked on the internationally acclaimed Final Symphony and Symphonic Fantasies video game concerts.

Performed through narration, music, and beautiful illustrations, Merregnon: Land of Silence is a symphonic fairy tale that follows the story of orphan Miru and builds on the tradition of timeless classics like Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. The score demonstrates a lavish diversity of sound and displays the various orchestral sections and soloists.

The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra pioneered the performance of music by video game composers in 2006 and has since enjoyed over a decade of sold-out concerts and fruitful collaborations with some of the finest composers of the genre, as well as numerous projects with Merregnon producer Thomas Böcker. The newly composed Merregnon: Land of Silence marries this trailblazing approach with the orchestra’s long-time commitment to the next generation, and complements its distinguished educational offering, which includes regular school and family concerts, field trips and masterclasses.

War Thunder captures the hearts of Swedish aviation fans

The new update brings dozens of new vehicles, two maps and better visuals

Gaijin Entertainment announces that the “Direct Hit” major content update for the military online action War Thunder is available now. It makes the game better in all aspects. New content such as the Soviet attack jet MiG-27M with guided bombs, Swedish interceptor JA37C Jaktviggen, US heavy cruiser USS Pittsburgh and  Italian IFV C13 T90 will provide new experience, new visual effects and upgraded 3D models of existing vehicles will make the game look better, while user interface updates will make it more user friendly. War Thunder also received the support of the version 2.2 of NVIDIA DLSS technology that brings high quality and high resolution graphics without sacrificing FPS performance.

JA37C Jaktviggen is a fighter-interceptor from a Viggen family of jets that were supplied for service in the 1980s and became a “calling card” of the Royal Swedish Air Force for a long time. The fighter’s unusual airframe design, efficient flaps and air brakes allow it to make quick turns with very good roll speed. The JA37 version of Viggen was developed to fulfill the tasks of a fighter-interceptor, so the main emphasis in the weapons list is placed on the air-to-air missiles, including the completely new RB71 with radar guidance, a huge launch range and G-tolerance of about 30G. 

The ‘Direct Hit” update also brings realistic and better looking effects of water interacting with physical objects like bullets and shells. Ammunition storage explosions and ship fires are also updated. Aviation fans should check the new look of the iconic B-17 bomber planes. The number of polygons on the updated models tripled, and the textures became 4 times larger.

The range of maps for the combined battles of ground and air vehicles was also expanded. “Spaceport” is based on the map from the “Warfare 2077” April Fools event and offers more open fighting grounds surrounding the confined city center. “Breslau”  is focused on urban combat and the design was inspired by the Siege of Breslau (Wrocław) which took place in the final months of WWII. The naval battles also got an important improvement: fire control system adds aiming reticule, UI hits for each gun’s status and a convenient lead marker.

Finally, the update also officially adds content created by War Thunder players as part of the revenue share program. Timur “_PtaXa_” Taniya  developed the detailed cockpit model for the German He 111 H-16 bomber, while Daniil “Joy_Division__” Zaytsev created the German flying boat BV 138. Point & click psychological horror detective adventure ‘Saint Kotar’ to launch on October 28

Montreal, Canada – September 9th, 2021 – Autoexec Games’ upcoming time-bending action-RTS hybrid Timemelters has launched a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to expand the scope of the title. While it’s already far into development, with a Steam Early Access launch coming slated for later this year, there are a slew of extra features Autoexec would like to implement that would require additional support.

Directed by Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves co-creator Vincent Blanchard, Timemelters is a completely original action-RTS hybrid that offers both single-player and co-op play throughout its entire 20-mission campaign. You play as a witch, Teagan, trying to stop a mysterious undead uprising from taking over her village in the dark and corrupted land of Hogendale, which is loosely inspired by the events that occurred in Scotland in the 16th century.

Playing from a behind the shoulder third-person perspective, you’re given a host of magical powers ranging from rewinding time to play alongside your past self, raising the dead, recruiting trees to wallop foes, erecting walls, blasting baddies with energy beams, and setting portals to teleport around the map.

Timemelters hosts a huge menagerie of strategic powers that combine immediate third-person character action games with RTS and tower defense gameplay, as you zip around the map setting up defenses using a mix of AI companions, mind-controlled foes, and echoes of your past self. You’ll have to use your full arsenal of magical powers if you’re to protect Hogendale!

Timemelters has been in development for three years and most of the game is in a playable state with about 85% of the single-player campaign completed. The Kickstarter campaign is being used to fund extra features, such as a Challenge Mode that offers extra replay value, voice acting, extra language options, more playable characters, controller support, and even console ports. Furthermore, rewards include beta tests, offering players an opportunity to leave feedback on what changes they’d like to see.

Nahverkehr Dresden is one of the busiest routes released for Train Sim World 2 to date. Experience complex operations out of the iconic Dresden Hbf, with commuters and international travelers converging to make a hustle and bustle mix of S-Bahn, regional, inter-city, and freight traffic. Dating back to the 1830s, the line between Dresden and Riesa is one of Germany’s first long-distance railways. Today the line’s importance keeps it busy, faster services beat the regional traffic using separate fast and slow lines that each take a different path through the Saxony countryside.

A busy network also means lots of trains. The Nahverkehr Dresden route features five locomotives to take control of. Take on the challenges of regional, S-Bahn and freight services with the DB BR 442, BR 143, BR 146.2 BR 363 and MRCE BR 185.5, plus take control of IC and ICE services with the BR 406 ICE 3M. Action RPG Xuan Yuan Sword 7 showcases epic combat in new trailer

Coming to PlayStation and Xbox One September 30th

Hong Kong – September 9th, 2021 – Developer and publisher eastasiasoft just released a new gameplay trailer for Xuan Yuan Sword 7, showcasing the game’s combat ahead of its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release on September 30th. Here we get to see a smattering of player character Taishi Zhao’s flashy combat moves, eerie mythological enemies, and monster summoning abilities in action.

The console versions of Xuan Yuan Sword 7 were announced at the end of April as a collaborative effort between eastasiasoft, SOFTSTAR, and DOMO Studio, and will be coming soon to console players in the west for the first time in the history of this 30-year-old saga.

In the newest installment of the series, players will follow the standalone story of Taishi Zhao and enjoy dynamic, real-time combat, which makes Xuan Yuan Sword 7 the perfect entry point for new players. 

Retail editions will be produced in partnership with Maximum Games, available at all major retailers in North America, Europe and Australia or directly from Maximum Games starting October 12th.

Xbox One digital pre-orders will open on September 16th.
