MARVEL’S AVENGERS UPDATE ADDS NEW KLAW RAID AND PLAYSTATION-EXCLUSIVE HERO SPIDER-MAN

MARVEL’S AVENGERS UPDATE ADDS NEW KLAW RAID AND PLAYSTATION-EXCLUSIVE HERO SPIDER-MAN

Free Update for Owners of Marvel’s Avengers Also Brings Increase to Power-Level Cap and New Shipments System

SYDNEY (1st December, 2021) – Today, SQUARE ENIX® announced that Marvel’s Avengers patch 2.2 is now available, bringing with it an entirely new four-player Raid to take on the villain Klaw as well as a new Hero exclusive to PlayStation, Spider-Man.

In addition to the Raid and Hero, the update brings with it several new and improved systems, including:

  • Shipments – The Shipments feature provides an entirely new path to earn coveted cosmetics, resources, and other items strictly through gameplay, a highly requested option from the Marvel’s Avengers community. Each Shipment costs 500 Units (the currency earned while playing the game) and pulls from a collection of nearly 250 possible items, with a small chance of rewarding a premium Outfit unavailable via any other means of acquisition. But luck isn’t required to get the Outfit; players will automatically receive it after claiming 100 Shipments. A blog with more information about the Shipments feature is available to read at https://avengers.square-enix-games.com/en-gb/news/earned-cosmetics-dev-blog/
  • Power-Level Increase – The maximum Power Level achievable has increased from 150 to 175. Acquiring the best gear requires players to complete the game’s toughest challenge: the new four-player Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound on Elite mode, its hardest difficulty level.
  • Gear Upgrading – Players can now recycle gear of a higher power level to upgrade their current gear to match the higher-power level of the consumed item, with few exceptions. A blog detailing the gear upgrade system is available at https://avengers.square-enix-games.com/en-gb/news/gear-resources-rework-blog

A Marvel’s Avengers WAR TABLE Deep Dive dedicated to patch 2.2 premiered on November 29 and offered an extensive look at what players can expect from the update.

Today’s update adds to a game already packed with content, bringing new features and continuing the game’s story through the ongoing Avengers Initiative. Marvel’s Avengers now offers several campaigns, nine playable heroes (ten on PlayStation platforms), and endless multiplayer co-op action for up to four players.

About the New Raid: Discordant Sound

Raids in Marvel’s Avengers are one of the truest tests of end-game teamwork. They require advanced tactics and the full cooperation of a four-player team equipped with the highest-end gear. The Raid offers two difficulty levels: Normal and Elite mode, which ratchets up the challenge even further, but also offers the game’s best rewards.

Following the events of the War for Wakanda Expansion, the sonic monster Klaw has returned to the Vibranium Mound to destroy Wakanda. Black Panther and the Avengers must stop him before he can succeed!

About Spider-Man and the With Great Power Hero Event

The legendary web slinger Spider-Man is now available exclusively to PlayStation players in today’s update along with the Spider-Man: With Great Power Hero Event. Spider-Man’s high-flying acrobatics bring an entirely new way to experience the game either solo or with friends, and his unique movement and combat abilities are sure to be a great addition to any Strike Team taking on missions in the Avengers Initiative.

Players will experience Spider-Man’s story through unlockable challenges woven throughout the Avengers Initiative. Peter Parker learns of a deadly new threat and must partner with the Avengers to stop AIM from acquiring technology that could make their synthoid army unstoppable. Insistent on keeping his identity hidden, Parker forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow and must struggle with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?

About Marvel’s Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers offers players a truly rich experience and combines the single player focused Reassemble story campaign with the ongoing Avengers Initiative’s missions, which take the Avengers around the world and beyond. Each mission in the Reassemble campaign is designed to showcase one or more hero’s unique abilities, while the Avengers Initiative missions can be played solo with your own custom AI team or with a group of up to four players* as any Hero in the player’s roster.

Marvel’s Avengers continues to expand over time with the addition of new features, mission types, regions, items, and more delivered to players at no additional cost for players who own the core game.

WARFRAME’S LARGEST STORY-BASED CINEMATIC EXPANSION, THE NEW WAR, ARRIVES DECEMBER 15 ON ALL PLATFORMS

Warframe Players Will ‘Discover Their Power Within’ Through an Action-Packed Cinematic Story of Space Exploration and Self-Discovery in an Attempt to Restore Balance to the Fractured Origin System in this Next Chapter of the Award-Winning Sci-Fi Action Game

LONDON, Ontario – November 30, 2021 – Warframe developer Digital Extremes will launch the award-winning action game’s largest and most ambitious cinematic expansion, The New War, for all platforms on Wednesday, December 15. The announcement was revealed in Warframe’s final Devstream of the year dedicated to The New War where Digital Extremes premiered the action-packed CG Discover Your Power Within story trailer, hosted giveaways and Twitch Drops, and confirmed critical details about how to play The New War when it arrives on December 15.

Rife with non-stop action, smooth combat, and featuring one of the most welcoming communities in online gaming, Warframe is inviting new and returning players to discover its free Cinematic Quest line, combining a personal story of self-discovery with an action-packed space opera that takes players across 16 planets with 3 Open Worlds as they restore balance to the fractured Origin System. A new cinematic CG trailer created by Blur Studios (Netflix’s Love Death + Robots) reveals the face behind a Warframe while delivering more of Warframe’s signature gut-punching action and shining light on defining moments between the players and the Lotus:

“Just as players have waited so long for this climactic moment in Warframe, we too have eagerly awaited the time where players would be able to experience the emotional depth and action of The New War that we’ve created for them,” said Rebecca Ford, Director of Community and Live Operations. “We can’t wait to experience The New War alongside our players and deliver a continuation in Warframe’s story that we’ll be able to build and expand upon. The future is bright, Tenno.”

The next and biggest chapter in Warframe’s free Cinematic Quest line, The New War will see players controlling new playable characters for the very first time as they work through dramatic twists and turns across 3 Acts. As they experience various Missions in new environments, including Open Worlds besieged by Sentients, players will overcome dangerous new threats and challenges while unearthing answers to long-standing questions about Warframe’s sprawling sci-fi universe. Take control of iconic enemies including Kahl-175 the Grineer, Veso the Corpus Tech, and the Dax: Teshin, as they fight across the Origin System to push back the invading Sentient force.  While the war rages on, so will the fight for the truth behind the conflict – understanding the Lotus’ past to unlock a new future. Additional features launching with The New War include new Customizations, Weapons, and Accessories, along with Warframe’s 48th unique Warframe, Caliban – a Sentient-Warframe hybrid.

“Warframe’s story is everything to us. The New War is the experience players have wanted since the quest title was first revealed at TennoCon 2018,” said Steve Sinclair, Creative Director at Digital Extremes. “This moment is the culmination of years of experimentation in game development and feeding the beast that is Warframe. Our community has given us everything to let us continue the story that is both ours and theirs – Warframe is a shared experience. With the launch of The New War, players will have a definitive Warframe experience at their fingertips, and it sets the stage for Warframe’s continued growth. We’ve only just begun.”

New Warframe players, and those returning to the game to experience its Cinematic Quest, will now find it easier to navigate Warframe’s Quest line with the Tenno Guide, a UI improvement recently introduced to help guide new players complete their next steps in Warframe’s Cinematic Quest. This new feature is auto-enabled on log in, and can be disabled at any time in the menus under Options. Additional quality of life improvements have also been made to significantly reduce grind time in Warframe for players on the Cinematic Quest track.

Players can start preparing for the action of The New War today by jumping into Warframe and participating in its Prime Resurgence event where players can instantly gain access or earn a vast selection of the game’s rarest and most powerful Prime Warframes and gear for a limited-time only. To take part in the action of Warframe’s The New War, players will need to meet a set of Quest prerequisites and are encouraged to jump into the game now to work through its Cinematic Quest by completing the following tasks:

  • Build an Archwing
  • Build or Purchase a Railjack
  • Build or Purchase Necramech
  • Unlock Operator

World of Warships Blitz to Feature Exclusive Warhammer 40,000 Content

The Imperium and Chaos take their fight to the seas in limited-edition Naval Battleships with unique skills, camos, and Commanders

November 30, 2021 — World of Warships Blitz is about to treat its players to exclusive content inspired by the rich and grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe. Starting December 2, steer mighty Naval Battleships in the name of the Emperor of Mankind or for the Blood God!

World of Warships Blitz players will be able to take charge of two brand-new Tier VIII Battleships: the Ragnarok and the Ignis Purgatio. They each come with a unique camouflage and a custom voiceover Commander who provides an additional upgrade to their ship when equipped.

  • Justinian Lyons XIII, a valiant Imperial Navy officer of pious military lineage, is in command of the Naval Battleship Ignis Purgatio. This sea-roaming stronghold has the For the Emperor! skill temporarily boosting the range of its secondary guns and anti-aircraft weaponry, and can bear the unique Protector of the Faith camouflage.
  • The sworn enemy of Justinian, Arthas Roqthar the Cold, is a Khorne Aspiring Champion who commands the Naval Battleship Ragnarok. This seaborne citadel of Chaos possesses the Let the Galaxy Burn! skill that can increase its top velocity and its main gun accuracy and reload speed. The vessel can wear the unique Primordial Annihilator camouflage.

“We’re very excited to bring these unique ships, Commanders, and camos to our players”, says Alex Sou, World of Warships Blitz Product Manager. “Warhammer 40,000-inspired content is appreciated by the World of Warships PC and consoles communities, and we’re excited to add some of the grim dark atmosphere of this renowned universe to the World of Warships Blitz setting. We hope that our community will enjoy limited-edition offers as well.”

The unique content can be obtained in the game’s Premium Shop, via the Blitz Pass and Crates.

What side are you on? Procure your mighty Naval Battleship, shell your adversaries with powerful salvos, and turn the tide of battles to rule the waves!
