Nitrado and Hathora collaborate on customer transition to GameFabric

Karlsruhe, Germany, 04.03.2026Nitrado and Hathora announced today that they are working together to provide Hathora customers with a structured and supported transition to GameFabric by Nitrado following Hathora’s decision to wind down gaming operations, as the team will work on compute orchestration for AI inference at scale. The collaboration is designed to give studios and game operators a clear path forward, with hands-on migration support focused on continuity, stability, and minimizing disruption to live operations.

GameFabric by Nitrado is the best alternative on the market to support Hathora’s customers, particularly due to the similarities in technology setup and modern containerized server workflows. By combining platform fit with direct technical guidance, the transition is intended to help customers to execute their move with clarity and confidence.

GameFabric is built for modern multiplayer game server orchestration and supports the needs teams typically prioritize most in live operations, including automation, observability, elastic scaling, and infrastructure control through APIs and infrastructure-as-code workflows. Nitrado’s team will work directly with transitioning customers to review current setups, map key workflows, and define migration plans tailored to each game’s requirements. The company’s support model also includes direct access to experienced infrastructure engineers, technical guidance throughout the migration, and operational support for live environments.

“Supporting developers through infrastructure transitions is ultimately about protecting game stability and player continuity,” said Raphael Stange, CEO of Nitrado. “Our focus is to make this process practical, well-managed, and risk-free for teams that choose to move to GameFabric. We look forward to working closely with Hathora customers and supporting their games with the care and reliability they need during this transition.”

As part of the transition process, customers will be able to engage directly with Nitrado’s GameFabric team to evaluate migration timelines, technical requirements, and feature mapping from their current Hathora setup to GameFabric. Nitrado will provide hands-on guidance, including kickoff discussions, technical walkthroughs, and planning support to help teams validate the move before final cutover. This customer-first approach is intended to ensure that each migration is handled deliberately and with operational clarity.

Nitrado has more than two decades of experience in game server hosting and multiplayer infrastructure, with a track record of supporting studios such as Bohemia Interactive, CCP Games, Studio Wildcard, and Eleventh Hour Games. Through GameFabric, the company provides infrastructure for both session-based and persistent server environments, giving studios the flexibility to support different multiplayer architectures as their games evolve.

Hathora’s team decision reflects a shift in company focus rather than a change in the importance of multiplayer infrastructure for game developers. As studios continue to build and operate increasingly demanding live multiplayer experiences, the need for reliable, flexible, and well-supported infrastructure remains strong. Nitrado continues to invest in this space through GameFabric and its broader multiplayer platform capabilities.

About Nitrado
Nitrado is the leading global provider of private game server hosting with over two decades of experience in the industry. Through Nitrado and its subsidiary, Apex Hosting, millions of players and community creators enjoy high-quality, reliable game servers across the game industry’s most popular titles. It grants studios full infrastructure sovereignty by balancing the performance of Nitrado-owned bare metal with the elasticity of GameFabric Cloud – Powered by Google Cloud or BYOC. Engineered for automation, the suite features API-first control with an official Terraform provider, ultra-low-latency scaling, and SteelShield™, our patented DDoS defense that authenticates UDP & TCP traffic at the network edge.

War Thunder is Getting Rank IX Jets

Update brings dozens of new vehicles, including World War II legends and the most modern models

Gaijin Entertainment announces that  the “Ninth Wave” major update for the online military action game War Thunder will be released in mid-March. It introduces Rank IX and the most modern generation 4+ aircraft, such as the F/A-18F and Su-30SM2. The major update will also feature Hungarian planes, redesigned classic maps like “White Rock Fortress” and “Ardennes” and dozens of new ground, air, and naval vehicles, including the American destroyer Helm, which was one of the first to fight back against the enemy at Pearl Harbor.

The Australian F/A-18F Super Hornet is a two-seat modification of the renowned fighter-bomber, capable of carrying a large number of AMRAAM active radar-homing missiles for long-range air combat and a vast arsenal of air-to-surface weapons for ground attack. These aircraft were delivered to the Australian Air Force from 2010 to 2012, and were used in Iraq in 2014.

White Rock Fortress, one of War Thunder’s first ground battle locations, was essentially rebuilt from scratch according to modern graphics standards, with an abundance of fine visual details, while maintaining the navigation familiar to veterans. A similar graphical overhaul awaits fans of the Ardennes map, with abandoned gun emplacements, collapsed buildings, and trees covered in autumn gold now look significantly better, while all approaches, bypasses, and terrain layout remain unchanged. There are also some gameplay innovations: abandoned vehicles (bulldozers and tractors) can now be used as temporary mobile cover by pushing them forward.

Hungarian combat aircraft will be added to the Italian aviation research tree, starting with the Héja I and II fighters, based on the all-metal Reggiane Re.2000 monoplane from the Second World War. The Héja I features an 8mm steel backplate, which adds some weight but significantly increases survivability. In the Héja II, Hungarian engineers installed a new domestically produced propeller-engine system, redistributed the fuel tanks, and installed Hungarian Gebauer 1940.M GKM heavy machine guns with a higher rate of fire.

The M1296 Dragoon is an American combat vehicle based on the Stryker platform, featuring a new unmanned turret with a 30 mm XM813 cannon. Its shells can effectively destroy light vehicles and helicopters, and even penetrate the side of any main battle tank. Its fast wheeled chassis allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h on hard surfaces, maneuver quickly, and flank the enemy.

More information about the “Ninth Wave” update can be found on the game’s official website.

A Photo Adventure to Reclaim Lost Goodbyes – OPUS: Prism Peak Release Date Shifts to April 16th

SIGONO and Shueisha Games Take the Time to Perfect Every Frame

TOKYO, JAPAN – March 4th, 2026 – Tokyo-based publisher Shueisha Games, alongside developer SIGONO, is announcing a short delay to their new single-player photo adventure OPUS: Prism Peak. The game will now be released simultaneously on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on Thursday, April 16, 2026. This extra development period gives the team time to refine the game’s breathtaking art style and emotionally rich narrative to its fullest potential.

“We believe that OPUS: Prism Peak deserves the care and polish needed to meet the expectation of its fans,” said Jonathan Wang, Producer at Shueisha Games. “By giving SIGONO additional development time, we can ensure that the final release truly reflects the heart and craftsmanship behind the project. Players can try the Steam demo now, though it won’t be available for much longer, so we encourage everyone to jump in while they can”.

About OPUS: Prism Peak
In OPUS: Prism Peak, players follow Eugene, a 40-year-old ex-photojournalist turned café owner, who is returning to his hometown when a sudden accident pulls him into the Dusklands, a quiet and surreal realm of fading light and unspoken sorrow. There, his long-abandoned camera is placed back into his hands, and he meets a mysterious young girl who only remembers that she must return to a distant mountain deep within this strange world.

With no clear way home, the two journey together through fragile landscapes and lingering memories, encountering curious spirits along the way. Each spirit reflects a different emotion, memory, or lesson, from the gentle deer who gifts Eugene his camera to the silent unicorn observing from the edges of the path. These encounters guide the pair through forests, towns, and mountain trails while revealing deeper truths about both the Dusklands and Eugene’s inner world.

As a looming murky presence stained in red and black stalks Eugene from the shadows, players use photography to capture breathtaking landscapes, divine spirits, and decisive moments in a world where everything is fleeting. Photography becomes both a tool and a metaphor, preserving fragments of memory while learning to let go, and allowing players to uncover the haunting beauty and hidden stories of the Dusklands.

Darkhaven Kickstarter Hits $300k As Demo Ends Next Fest In Top 20

Diablo veterans hit 60% funding for ambitious ARPG that was one of Next Fest’s most popular demos

California, USA – March 4th, 2026 — The Kickstarter for Darkhaven, a new ARPG from  Diablo veterans Philip Shenk, Peter Hu, and Erich Schaefer, has now hit 60% funding, receiving an impressive $300k, with 16 days to go. An unconventionally unfiltered demo for Darkhaven is in the top 20 of Steam’s most-played demos list from the Steam Next Fest, making it among the top 1% of the 3500+ demos in Next Fest. The demo’s success has helped the game surge to 270k wishlists on Steam.

Moon Beast Productions have added new rewards to the Kickstarter and fans can join Peter Hu and Erich Schaefer for a live stream today where the duo will dive into how the new “design your own legendary item” reward will work.

Darkhaven is a dark fantasy isometric ARPG set in the aftermath of a great and final collapse of civilization. Ancient empires have fallen, their ruins reclaimed by wilderness, monsters, and predatory supernatural forces. Players are heirs to a legacy of power that is the last hope for this dying world. As eldritch evil worms its way into the world to feed on its remains, it falls to these few to bring the land back from the brink of death.

Designed for solo play, cooperative adventures, and high-stakes PvP-enabled realms, Darkhaven is set in a procedurally generated, fully dynamic, and persistent world. Terrain and structures are deformable and buildable, allowing players to dig through earth, tunnel through dungeon walls, drain lakes to uncover buried ruins, redirect lava flows to reshape battlefields, or rebuild shattered fortresses. Seasons change, weather alters combat and traversal, and world-altering events leave permanent scars. Every action contributes to a shared, evolving history.

The demo available now on Steam offers several hours of open-ended ARPG gameplay inside a persistent sandbox world. Players can progress the Witch class to level 8, experimenting across three skill trees focused on mobility, positioning, and resource management. Closer to a pre-alpha than a highly polished, bite-sized teaser, Moon Beast have decided not to water down their ambition with a narrow vertical slice, instead allowing players to experience the full, unfiltered version of what they are building as they seek players’ support to realise their vision on Kickstarter.

About Moon Beast Productions
Moon Beast Productions is an independent games developer founded by industry veterans Philip Shenk, Peter Hu, and Erich Schaefer. They have offices in San Francisco, CA, and Austin, TX. Founded in 2021, Moon Beast Productions focuses on innovation in ARPG games.
