Do not attempt to adjust your calendars, Angry Birds fans – 2012 is back!

ESPOO, Finland – March 31, 2022 – Rovio Entertainment has launched Rovio Classics: Angry Birds – a complete recreation of the original Angry Birds game as it appeared in app stores in 2012. The game includes all chapters from the original game, along with all of the Easter eggs and extras found in the game at that time.

Why 2012? After Angry Birds was removed from app stores in 2019, fans flocked to social media, banding together to call for the game’s return using the hashtag #BringBack2012. The outcry was impossible to ignore.

“We are extremely grateful to have such an amazing community of engaged fans that care deeply about our games,” says Rovio CEO Alex Pelletier-Normand. “Angry Birds has touched so many people and has been a large presence in mobile gaming. After hearing the outcry from our fans, we just had to find a way to bring Angry Birds back.”

Originally built in Rovio’s proprietary game engine, Rovio Classics: Angry Birds has been rebuilt from the ground up in Unity, creating a more sustainable platform for the game to be offered on newer devices while preserving the authentic 2012 Angry Birds experience.

“While we were rebuilding Angry Birds, we took great care to preserve the feeling of the original Angry Birds game,” says executive producer, Sami Ronkainen. “We know our fans are a discerning bunch and will be able to pick out even small differences. Matching the gameplay, physics and appearance of the game next to the original was crucial.”

As an added bonus, the pig destroying power-up, Mighty Eagle, will be available to all players for free. Offered in the original Angry Birds game as an in-app purchase, the Mighty Eagle gives players a way to pass some of the more notoriously challenging levels. Players can also use this big bird to achieve a 100% Eagle Score in every level, in addition to the classic three-star achievement.

Rovio Classics: Angry Birds is available now in the App Store and Google Play as a premium download for the very retro price of $0.99.

Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software announce the release of the Battle for Stalingrad major Content Update for the WW2 online shooter Enlisted. The Stalingrad campaign features a new monetization and progression system that provides simpler and faster access to new weapons and vehicles. Other new features include soldier and vehicle customization, bomber raids, legendary Stalingrad snipers and pilots, flamethrower tanks, medic squads, and more.

The Battle for Stalingrad was one of the decisive moments of World War II. Enlisted’s Battle for Stalingrad includes carefully reproduced iconic structures such as the headquarters of the German Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus, as well as authentic weapons and equipment used by both sides like flamethrower tanks. Players can even use legendary snipers Vasily Zaitsev and Erwin Koenig, or Tatyana Sumarokova and Mariya Smirnova (the female pilots from the historical Night Witches squadron) and use them in battle. 

The campaign is available for free, although some of its levels are exclusive to owners of the access pack. Owners of this pack receive soldiers and weapons already trained and improved to the pre-maximum level, so they’ll be able to progress through the campaign faster and without any extra expenses. Players can optionally pay for cosmetic items for soldiers, such as fur hats, belts, and pouches, to customize their appearance to their taste, while remaining within historical accuracy.

Among the new types of weapons and equipment are the Hungarian Kiraly submachine gun, the French Potez 633 dive bomber under the Romanian flag, as well as the ampoule gun that shoots flammable liquid capsules, and the legendary Maxim machine gun first introduces in 1910.

Bomber raids could be now summoned by the radio operators as an alternative to existing options like an artillery strike on target. Bomber squadrons take 2 minutes to arrive and they could be shot down by enemy anti-aircraft guns or fighter planes.

Medics are a new class of soldiers in Enlisted. They can both help the wounded right on the battlefield, and distribute first-aid kits to allies so that they can take care of themselves. All direct and indirect assistance with treatment is rewarded with experience points.

Other Enlisted’s campaigns like the Battle for Moscow or Invasion of Normandy have also got new missions, soldiers and gear.

Get first public hands-on with The Last Worker, an unannounced title and more; indie publisher hosts live recording of Wired Unplugged Podcast

Watford, UK – 31st March, 2022 – Publisher Wired Productions today unveiled its eclectic line-up for PAX East (21-24 April, Boston, MA) which includes the world first hands-on with the highly anticipated narrative adventure The Last Worker, radical 90’s management game Arcade Paradise and immersive and heartfelt puzzler game Tin Hearts. Visitors to the show can also get hands-on with the critically-acclaimed psychological thriller Martha Is Dead and a mysterious unannounced title. Furthermore, the beautifully bioluminescent puzzle platformer Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles will be officially launching at the show.

If that wasn’t enough, the indie publisher will be hosting a live recording of the Wired Unplugged Podcast at 4.30pm EDT on Friday 22nd April in the Arachnid Theatre. Hosts Jake Kulkowski and Aaron Cooper will be joined by Wired Productions CEO Leo Zullo, Good Vibes Gaming co-founder Ash Paulsen, and a host of indie game developers to discuss how Wired works intimately with its development partners.

Hamburg, March 31, 2022 – gamigo and Dynamight Studios are announcing the upcoming closed beta of Fractured Online – the first truly dynamic, isometric open-world MMORPG – will launch on April 6, 2022.

The closed beta phase of Fractured Online welcomes players, both new and old, to explore the new continent of Aerhen, where Humans largely preside. Players will need cold insulation to last in this mountainous region filled with snow and ice as the weather will regularly test the mettle of would-be survivalists. If the weather doesn’t get you, the Jotunns, Mammoths, Moose, Arctic Wolves, and various Elementals will. These new creatures can be found throughout Aerhen, but proceed with caution. We don’t know the last time they had a decent bite to eat, and players might be the plump, juicy morsel they’ve been looking to ravage.

In addition to exploring a new region filled with obstacles to overcome, players will be able to take part in several events across multiple channels – including social media, Discord, and in-game – during their time with the closed beta. More details on these events will be revealed soon.

To commemorate the launch of the closed beta for Fractured Online, the first of a new series of developer diaries has been released. The first video – titled “What is Fractured Online and Why You Should Play It” – will introduce Dynamight Studios and this dynamic MMORPG to new players while also presenting the game’s overall vision and biggest challenges thus far. Several topics will be touched upon, including the game’s different races, PvE and PvP combat, its player-driven world and economy, and additional topics that should whet your appetite.

Head to the skies for nostalgic, action-packed online multiplayer dogfights

Krakow, Poland — March 31st, 2022 – Publisher All in! Games today announced that its arcade biplane shooter, Red Wings: American Aces, a spin-off of their previous in-house developed arcade shooter, Red Wings: Aces of the Sky is now available on Steam for PC and Nintendo Switch for $11,99/Є11.99 with a launch week discount of 20%.

Additionally, All in! Games and its subsidiary Happy Little Moments are happy to introduce a color-book game based on the Red Wings IP, Red Wings: Coloring Planes. Tailored to younger audiences, the coloring book is now available on Nintendo Switch for $3.99/Є3.99.

Red Wings: American Aces is the only arcade biplane shooter with cross-platform online multiplayer and puts players in the pilot’s seat of a nostalgic aircraft for competitive action-packed air battles. Budding air aces have 15 different planes to choose from, all illustrated in a visually vibrant comic book style, and each with its own unique plane skin across 30 campaign missions available in local co-op for 1-2 players. Pilots will need a cool head and quick reflexes to outmaneuver and outwit their airborne opponents during dramatic arcade dogfights, racking up skill points to upgrade their pilots’ progression. 

It’s not just opponent pilots that players will need to be wary of, environmental hazards such as thunderstorms can affect your skill cooldowns and sandstorms can wreak havoc on your visibility, reducing it to near zero.

Different arcade gameplay modes pile on the fun factor–Score Battle, Time Battle, and Hide n’ Seek. For larger aerial battles players can build a squad of 5 other players in elimination mode with Time Team battle and Score Team battles against other squads, where having a friendly wingman and safety in numbers can make all the difference.
