RIDERS REPUBLIC SEASON TWO: SHOWDOWN AVAILABLE TODAY

Players Can Enjoy the Showdown Season Starting at 6pm AEST

Sydney, Australia – April 26, 2022 –Ubisoft announced that season two of Riders Republic, Showdown, will be available starting today at 6pm AEST, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5*, Stadia, as well as Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store.

Get in on the action with Showdown: To celebrate this brand-new season, players will discover the new Showdown arena with its own multiplayer mode, an electrifying 6v6 where two teams compete to collect as much lightning as possible, while using new toys: gears that opens up a new way to play.

Players will be able to challenge themselves in new mass races and discover special outfits, session markers and the all-new Manual-mode, to ride a single wheel in style. They will also be able to name and participate in an in-game specific friends list and create their own community with the new clan feature.

This season also introduces a new season progression with seven weekly spotlights, where all players can unlock exclusive rewards and participate in live activities and events, such as the Rabbids Takeover event starting May 18.

Year 1 Pass holders will have early access to two toys for this season, the Spider and the Juggernaut**. Both toys will also be available as a pack in Showdown mode, along with the exclusive Sniper toy. Players can obtain the Year 1 Pass with the Gold or Ultimate Edition of Riders Republic, or as a stand-alone purchase.  A Welcome Pack will also be sold separately and will include a new legendary outfit and 2300 Republic Coins.

Wizards announces more local competitive Magic: The Gathering

Following the recent announcement of the return of the Pro Tour, Wizards of the Coast, in partnership with renowned esports company ESL Australia, is providing even more local opportunities to play competitive Magic: The Gathering (MTG) in the ANZ region, with the return of the MTG Arena ESL ANZ Champs tournament announced today. 

The Winter season of MTG Arena ESL ANZ Champs is the second series of local MTG Arena esports, beginning 7 May with four Qualifier weekends and culminating in the Season Finals on 26 June. As with the previous season, the tournament will feature a range of monetary, and physical prizes. There will also be opportunities to win TCG prizes through engaging with social content and the livestreams.

Each Qualifier will have up to seven rounds of Swiss Stage on the Saturday followed by a cut to Top 8. The Top 2 players at the end of a single elimination bracket on Sunday will qualify for the Season Finals. If a player has already qualified for the Season Finals, their place will be passed down to the next eligible player. TCG prizes are up for grabs at each round and already qualified players are encouraged to play in multiple events! 

  • 1st Open Qualifier – 7 and 8 May
  • 2nd Open Qualifier – 21 and 22 May
  • 3rd Open Qualifier – 4 and 5 June
  • 4th Open Qualifier – 18 and 19 June
  • Season Finals – 26 June

Prizing structure for the Qualifiers is as follows:

  • 1st – 2nd: 1 x Set Booster Box
  • 3rd – 4th: 1 x MTG Bundle

A total of AU $2,500 will be distributed to major placements throughout the tournament. The prizing structure for tournament placements is:

  • 1st: $800 + 1 x Set Booster Box + 1 x Collector Box + 1 x Uncut Sheet of cards
  • 2nd: $600 + 1 x Collector Booster Box
  • 3rd: $400 + 1 x Set Booster Box
  • 4th: $300 + 1 x Set Booster Box
  • 5th – 8th: $100 + 1 x Set Booster Box
  • 9th – 16th: 1 x MTG Bundle
  • 17th – 32nd: 3 x Set Boosters

Open Qualifier finals and Season Final events will be broadcast on the ESL Australia Twitch channel. These broadcasts will be run using TV quality broadcast equipment and operated by an expert broadcast team. ESL staff and commentators familiar with the MTG scene will host the tournaments to keep viewers entertained and informed of tournament and game progress. The official Magic Twitch channel will also host these broadcasts.

Fight as Legends in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s Rengoku Event

Starting tomorrow, a new event set in mystical Japan brings new game mode and more

Sydney, Australia – April 26, 2022 – Today, Ubisoftannounced Rengoku, a new limited-time event for Rainbow Six ® Siege, available tomorrow, April 26, until May 17. Rengoku introduces a new control area game mode with unique Kiba loadouts and fast respawn, creating a fast-paced and action-packed event.

Set in Japan, Rengoku unveils a temple in the sky and a fight for eternity, where Operators are Samurai warriors possessed by spirits fighting for the honor of the gods in a revisited Skyscraper map. In the 5v5 control mode, players must stay near altars for five seconds unopposed to score control points or steal control points from the opposing team – the first team to reach 300 points wins the match. Every two minutes, the control points will change location.

Operators will wield a one-hit kill explosive Kiba on top of shotguns and pistols. Fuze, Osa, Rook, and Thunderbird can choose between a Fire or Poison Kiba, while Twitch, Capitão, Zofia, Kapkan, Bandit, and Maestro can choose between the Flashback or Knockback Kiba to unleash the ultimate chaos.

This event brings with it the Rengoku Collection, which contains uniforms, headgear, weapon skins and Operator Card Portraits for the Rengoku competitors. Rengoku also introduces the Battlefield Spirit Bundle which includes a signature weapon skin, a universal attachment skin, charm and background. The Rengoku Collection packs can be obtained by completing the special Event Challenges, or by purchasing them for 300 R6 Credits, or 12500 Renown each. The individual Bundles may also be bought directly for 1680 R6 Credits each.

Stealth Action Game Winter Ember Steps Out of the Shadows with Full Physical Comic Compilation Available Today

SYDNEY – April 25, 2021 – Winter Ember, the isometric stealth sandbox action game from publisher Blowfish Studios and developer Sky Machine Studios, finalizes its own prequel graphic novel series in a full physical compilation. Thanks to an all-star writing and illustration team, in partnership with comic and manga publisher eigoMANGA. The eight-part story of the Artorious family’s downfall is available in a single collection.

Author Kevin Grevioux, renowned for his writing on a collection of Marvel and DC Comics stories like Amazing Spider-Man, Young Avengers, Cyborg, among others, as well as the creator of the Underworld and I-Frankenstein film franchises, sets the backdrop for Winter Ember’s epic stealth-narrative.

Chris Awayan, previously known for the Indestructible comic series, put pen to paper as the illustrator. Iconic cover art from Ben Herrera, best known for his work on Marvel Adventures, X-Men Adventures, and Batman: Arkham Knights, rounds out the team of industry luminaries. 

Anargal, a city of great power and promise, stands as a shadow of its former self after the events of the comic series. Trapped in the clutches of Greater Heaven, a religious faction feared for its military might, its zealous devotion to cleanse the world of its ultimate darkness brings cities to their knees. Arthur Artorious, a disgraced noble long thought dead, must take advantage of this to free Anargal from their controlling grip and exact his personal revenge. 

Winter Ember moved swiftly out of the murky night with its console and PC game release last week on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Enhanced Edition Comes As Standard For Console Release This Spring

Sydney, Australia, April 22nd 2022 – Through the Ashes – the second premium DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – is available now.

Featuring an entirely different experience from the main story and first DLC, Through the Ashes has you playing the part of an ordinary citizen of Kenabres (without the mythic powers players had in the main story) who managed to survive Deskari’s opening attack on the city.

With extremely limited access to resources, no decent weapons, and no safe space to rest—players will have to focus on survival, think strategically, use the environment and traps to defeat strong enemies and try to lead a small group to safety, while danger lurks around every corner.

Also announced is the news that the Enhanced Edition of the game will launch – as standard – on console editions of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

The Enhanced Edition of the game will be available for everyone early this Spring on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and it will become the standard version for the console release.

The full list of Enhanced Edition features will be revealed at a later date, but will incorporate quality-of-life improvements, a photo mode, and additional high-level content related to several mythic paths.

Meet new companions created specifically for this adventure and new NPCs, who won’t join the fight but can help with other tasks. Through the Ashes is available as a part of the Season Pass, as well as via a standalone purchase on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $18.50 AUD.

To celebrate the release of the new DLC the game is featured with a 35% discount for the base game together with significant discounts on all editions and Season Pass. The deal starts today on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG and runs until 28 April.

The next DLC from the Season Pass is going to be ready this July. What’s more, the adventures will continue in Season Pass 2 which will consist of an additional three DLCs – bringing even more content to the game. The first one is scheduled for release this Spring (ANZ); more news on this at a later date too.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is now available on all major digital stores including Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. It will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; release slated for early Spring this year.

The NINE Season 2009 is a fascinating way to re-live one of the most incredible seasons in MotoGP™ history. A nostalgic and emotional docu-film narrated by Mark Neale, director of some of the best MotoGP™ documentaries, with more than 50 minutes of original footage from the 2009 Season mixed with real gameplay, creating a total-immersive motor simulation experience. Additionally, the Riding Analysis System helps riders through in-game pop-up messages that appear at the end of the race suggesting how to adjust the difficulty level based on skills and performances. The game could recommend activating some helps or suggest playing specific tutorials designed to fill gaps in terms of gameplay knowledge and attitudes.

The Managerial Career is back and allows players to decide whether to create a new team or joining a real one. The game mode also features the possibility to go in-depth in the strategy’s details, using development points and allocating R&D staff to reach the top along with working on the Bike Development through enhancing aspects such as Engine, Frame, Aerodynamics and Electronics. The path could start from the bottom, creating a Junior Team in Moto2 or Moto3 categories, selecting a sponsor and hiring a Team Manager, Technical Director and at least one rider.
