White Day: A Labyrinth Named School Arrives on Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Switch in September

PQube has announced that they will be bringing SONNORI’s survival horror game White Day: A Labyrinth Named School to the West for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch sometime in September of this year. The title will be released digitally on all platforms while a physical release of the Switch and PlayStation 5 version is planned as well.

This enhanced version of the game will feature, among other improvements, all of the bonus DLC costumes that were released for the original version, that is currently available on mobile devices, PC, and PlayStation 4. The company has detailed that, due to the additional content found in this release, owners of the PlayStation 4 version will not be able to freely upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version nor will it include the previously offered BlazBlue crossover costumes.

White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a cult classic Korean survival horror that has players exploring a dense network of rooms and hallways by candlelight, while evading the murderous janitors who patrol them. The title offers twenty unique ghost stories, ten different endings that change depending on player actions, and a dynamic scare system that will change the harder the game’s difficulty is set. A few screenshots and the announcement trailer for the horror game can be found below.

AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative Details New Elements with New Screenshots

Some new information, screenshots, and a few character details have been released by Spike Chunsoft for AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative. This includes giving a closer look at the “Investigation” and “Somnium” systems. The “Investigation” part takes place in the real world. Here players will examine crime scenes and listen to testimonies. In the “Somnium” part, players enter the dream worlds of suspects and key witnesses.

During a Somnium, players have a limited amount of time to search for the truth deep in the subject’s memories. Aiba and Tama appear in human form and assist their agents by exploring the dream world and uncovering new clues.

Every Somnium is uniquely based on the memories of the Psync subject, so each dream landscape is completely different. The sequel introduces new underwater and aerial Somnia, allowing players to experience more varied worlds. Somnia are comprised of multiple levels, and “mental locks” that must be unlocked in order to advance to the next level including different ways to unlock some of tghese locks.

In a Somnium, common sense and laws of the real world do not apply, but there are “Keys,” or rules based on the Psync subject’s consciousness and memories. Once Keys are revealed, it becomes easier to narrow down the actions and choices to be taken in that Somnium. Initially, most of the Keys are hidden, but as you explore and begin to understand the Somnium, Keys will be revealed.

Screenshots highlighting many of these mechanics as well as some new characters can be found below while AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative is currently set to be released in North America on June 23rd and July 8th in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Hammer of Virtue Smashes onto PlayStation 5, PC in Late 2022

Every hammer swing sows chaos in a completely destructible world

STOCKHOLM – 31 May 2022 – Hammer of Virtue, the skill-based action game set in a fully destructible land of tomorrow from developer No Pest Productions, sets its sights on a late 2022 launch on PlayStation 5 simultaneously alongside the previously announced Steam via Windows PC release.

Drop into a futuristic world where terrorist organizations deploy cybernetically-enhanced, armored animals to reap chaos. Faced with such threatening foes, the Unified Realm elects to fight metal with metal and restore order through aggressive extermination tactics. Enter the battlefield as the Unified Realm’s greatest hope of victory, a melee soldier armed with a powerful hammer and tough-as-nails armor, then deliver crushing blows against enemies one hammer strike at a time.

Fight through more than 20 stages featuring legions of enemies and fully destructible environments. Master a skill-based action combat system with directional blocking and attack systems that require reading each enemy’s movements. Send sword-wielding monkeys flying with brutal uppercuts, smash robotic raptors into abandoned buildings, and create carnage in a challenging, physics sandbox ripe for emergent gameplay opportunities.

The sword might be mightier than the pen, but in Hammer of Virtue, a super-powerful hammer puts them both to shame. Develop a deep understanding of a rewarding combat system to sow chaos during each encounter. Utilize destructible environments and over-the-top ragdoll physics to bowl enemy animals into one another and topple trees on unsuspecting armored bears. Time high and low blocks before unleashing counterattacks that bring even the mightiest of foes to their knees.

Hammer of Virtue is all about providing players with an emergent playground of chaos and comedic carnage,” said Jens Kolhammar, programmer and owner of No Pest Productions. “There’s nothing more satisfying than turning a run-of-the-mill fight against a handful of cyber raptors into a building-smashing showdown, and I can’t wait to share the experience with players on Steam and PlayStation consoles later this year!”

Hammer of Virtue will launch on Steam for Windows PC and PlayStation 5 in late 2022 for $19.99. It features English, Japanese, Korean, and German-language support. For more information, visit the official website and wishlist Hammer of Virtue on Steam today.
