• Distinct and Challenging Heists – I got big plans! Do things right and you have a bright future ahead of ya. Robbing a store and a bank is child’s play; get that done and there are plenty of other targets like tombs, nuclear power plants, space… Y’know if it ain’t nailed down it’s asking to be taken!
• Enemies and Hazards – No one said this was going to be easy! Armed guards and security personnel will try to stop you at every turn. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the have-a-go-heroes of this city may even throw some punches your way.
• Abilities and Power-ups – You never know what you’ll find laying around that can help. I suggest roughing up some vending machines – those sodas pack a punch! They can get ya back on your feet, make you super tough, and some other cool tricks too. Also, remember you all got your own mutant animal powers too – so use them! If one of you goes down, help get them back on their feet. If you don’t get them up in time just flush ‘em down the toilet and I’ll fix them up in the lab.
• Weapons and Tools – Be smart! If you come across an obstacle, use the grey matter between ya thick skulls to and pick up an axe or a drill, find the right tool for the job. But for the guards, a good old shotgun might be the answer! 
• Loot-O-Matic – Use the cash you earn to pick up some useful items or some firepower from the Loot-O-Matic for your next job. Or, just pick what looks cool, what do I care?

8^th June 2022: SEGA hosted Sonic Central, the company’s second annual virtual fan-centric event unveiling a plethora of exciting projects starring everybody’s favourite hedgehog – Sonic. Streamed on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube and Twitch channels, Sonic Central was hosted by Sonic Team’s Chief Brand Officer and SVP Sega of America, Inc., Ivo Gerscovich, along with legendary game designer, Takashi Iizuka, who revealed a packed lineup of new experiences coming to the franchise.

The stream featured a sneak peek at SEGA’s upcoming remaster of the original games, Sonic Origins, and revealed a new animated special based on the awaited open-zone-inspired adventure Sonic Frontiers with Sonic Lore. • Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – Paramount Pictures announced Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is heading to Blu-ray and Digital in an announcement from actor Ben Schwartz, voice of Sonic in the films. Check out the home entertainment release, loaded with deleted scenes, hilarious bloopers, fun behind-the-scenes moments and an exclusive animated short taking place right after the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

• Sonic Prime – Get ready to see Sonic in a new light with the all-new Netflix animated series, produced in partnership with WildBrain, coming soon!

Licensing

• SEGA will be collaborating with several partners to release a robust offering of new Sonic-branded products in the coming months. Partnerships will bring forth all-new food and beverage items including a Knuckles-inspired energy drink from G FUEL, along with Tails and Knuckles PEZ dispensers.

Specialists in Animation, Visual Effects, Cinema and Video Games are Joining Forces to Create ZeDrimeTim Studio’s First Project to be Released on PC & Consoles: Darwin’s Paradox

Paris, France, June 7,  2022. Bringing recognized video game professionals such as Romuald Capron, former studio director of Arkane Lyon (Deathloop, Dishonored), Cédric Lagarrigue, founder and former CEO of Focus Home Interactive publishing, together with two talents, Mika Tanguy and Gilles Aujard, from the world of visual effects in cinema and animation, ZeDrimeTim aims to bridge animated feature films and video games proficiencies.

Darwin’s Paradox is a platformer and adventure game for PC & console. “It draws its influences from the standards of the genre lead by Playdead studios (Inside, Limbo) or Tarsier Studios (Little Nightmares), and by bringing a new proposal filled with humour, and influenced by the Golden Age of the 1950s science fiction and today’s 3D animation feature films. Developed in the new Unreal Engine 5, it will be released on PC and consoles in 2024.”

Mika Tanguy, general manager of ZeDrimeTim, who has supervised visual effects of many films and collaborated with the greatest directors, comments: “Feature films and animation are increasingly using video game tools such as Unreal Engine. ZeDrimeTim studio’s goal is unique and original: it brings movie and animation artists, together with video game talents around authentic productions »

Romuald Capron, ex-studio director of Arkane Lyon is part of this adventure as associate and executive producer: “After an already quite full career in video games, I wanted to get involved in a project on a human scale. I was immediately attracted by the art direction and gameplay mechanics of Darwin’s Paradox and I’m really excited to help the team at ZeDrimeTim, to turn that vision into a game with a strong identity.”

Cédric Lagarrigue, founder of the publisher Focus Home Interactive, which he managed for twenty years: “I have had the good fortune in my career to discover and support studios and their games which, despite their limited budgets, became great hits. Darwin’s Paradox has the ingredients that falls into this category. The excellent playable prototype and the positioning of the studio convinced me to invest in the project and accompany the team in this exciting adventure”

Fundraising was carried out to allow the young studio to benefit from the financial base needed for the pre-production and production phases, for the launch of Darwin’s Paradox. This fundraising brought together the four partners, business angels from the Entertainment, Videogame and Finance industries as well as Bpifrance, the French Sovereign Fund.

Darwin’s Paradox, developed by the Zedrimetim studio on Unreal Engine 5, will be released on PC and consoles in 2024.
