Firefighters Social Deduction Game, OCTOPinbs, Revealed

Soak Scorching Saboteurs on PC Q2 2026

TOKYO – March 9, 2026 – OCTOPinbs, a firefighting social deception game is revealed by co-developers tri-Ace, Lasengle, Inc., and publisher Aniplex, ahead of heating up PC via Steam in Q2 2026, as revealed during The MIX today. No time for mind games, THERE’S A FIRE! Dive straight into a burning building with three to ten brave, octopus firefighters, and douse burning buildings before they burn to ashes.

Amidst the crew of tentacled heroes is a secret squid Artist — a sneaky arsonist who ignites flames purely for the aesthetics. Peek into adjacent rooms to catch them in the act, then send them to the Octojar to reveal their identity. However, beware of the boldest Artists who trade disguise for damage, turning a hide-and-seek hunt into a flame-engulfing PvP showdown.

Extinguish infernos to claim victory for the firefighters, or burn it all down to win as the Artist. If the Artist is exposed,  the battle continues until time runs out. The more the Fire Gauge builds while disguised, the stronger the Artist’s attacks become once revealed, so choose the right moment to wreak havoc!

“Social deduction games require strong communication skills and drawn out discussions, but the action-oriented approach to OCTOPinbs makes it truly differentiated and easy for everyone to enjoy its simple formula,” said Aniplex. “Trying to maintain focus amidst the chaos makes every match a special experience, and we have many more gameplay details to share before launch. Stay tuned for more!”

Check out the official trailer, which premiered during The MIX Spring Game Showcase, here! OCTOPinbs will be available on PC via Steam in Spring 2026, with language support in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, German, Korean, Spanish, and French. Discover what lies beneath, Descent of Lunaris public demo is out now

A mysterious signal, a ruined lunar base, and a journey into something that shouldn’t exist in this blended classic dungeon crawling game with a haunting sci-fi mystery.

Today, indie studio Unison Games has released the public demo for upcoming Descent of Lunaris, giving players their first chance to step inside the moon and see what’s waiting below the surface. The demo is available now on Steam and offers an early slice of the game’s dungeon crawling, combat, and unsettling sci-fi mystery ahead of its launch on PC later this year.

Set in the year 2070, the demo kicks off after a lunar mining operation picks up a strange signal from deep within the moon. An experiment at a secret facility goes terribly wrong, with machines across the base turning violent and wiping out most of the crew.

Players will take on command of a specialized security team sent in to investigate and protect researchers during the evacuation. However, tears in reality and warped grotesque scientists are the least of their worries when a cosmic entity appears.

The Descent of Lunaris demo includes the prologue and the entire first level of the game. Players can explore early dungeon areas, meet strange characters, and get hands-on with the game’s grid-based exploration, tactical, turn-based combat, and party customization systems.

Descent of Lunaris mixes old-school design with modern visuals built in Unreal Engine 5, plus an atmospheric soundtrack from underground musicians that gets stranger the further you go.

The Descent of Lunaris public demo is available now on PC via Steam, with the full game coming soon.

About Unison Games

Unison Games is an independent studio dedicated to crafting atmospheric, story-driven experiences that merge classic inspirations with bold new ideas. Their philosophy is simple: games should feel immersive, unsettling, and unforgettable – worlds you can step into and never quite leave behind. With their first title, Descent of Lunaris, the team aims to revive the dungeon crawler for players who crave challenge, mystery, and immersion with a descent into darkness that asks not only what lies below, but what it means to be human.

Corner Quest Launches Demo During Steam Tower Defense Fest — New Trailer Out Now

The idle incremental auto-battler that lives in the corner of your screen is now playable. Drop in, fight waves and build your mage while you work, browse, or play. Most games ask for your full attention. Corner Quest doesn’t. Your mage fights monsters, collects runes, and gets stronger, all on its own.

Solo developer EbonForgeGames has released a playable demo of Corner Quest on Steam, timed with Steam’s Tower Defense Fest running March 9–16, 2026. A new trailer is also live, giving players their first real look at the game in action.

Corner Quest is a 2D pixel-art idle incremental auto-battler with RPG-inspired elements. It’s built to coexist with your desktop, not compete with it. Think Desktop Defender but with magic, spell builds, and a meta-progression system that keeps pulling you back

Your mage fights endless waves of enemies automatically. As enemies fall, you earn Essence, spend it to unlock new spells and upgrade old ones. Rare runes accumulate as you defeat enemies, spend them to create unique builds. When you’re ready to push further, Awaken: reset your run and bank permanent upgrades that make every future run stronger.

Want to be hands-off? Let it run. Want to min-max your spell loadout? Go for it. Corner Quest works both ways. The window resizes, repositions and stays out of the way, or front and centre, it’s your call.

“I see a real gap in the market for games like this. There’s room for more titles that sit alongside your life rather than demand all of it. Corner Quest is my take on that, a game that’s always making progress, even when you’re not looking.”

Ivan Ganza, Solo Developer, EbonForgeGames

The demo gives players a full taste of the core loop: defeat enemies, earn Essence, unlock spells and hunt for Runes. You’ll be able to experience the Awakening system, resetting for permanent bonuses and seeing how each run builds on the last. The demo also includes a harder difficulty mode for players who want an extra challenge after their first run, giving even a short demo real replay value

The full game is planned for release in Q4 2026 and you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.

About EbonForgeGames:

EbonForgeGames is a solo independent developer focused on low-friction, high-depth games that fit into real life. Corner Quest is their debut commercial title.

Roguelike Deckbuilder Pluto Escapes Prison, Paints the World Red on PC Today

Join an improvised spellcasting journey through grotesque horrors, all in time for a birthday party

PROSPECT, Ky — March 9, 2026 — Pluto, a darkly comic roguelike deckbuilder about a wizard trying to balance cursed dungeons and family obligations, developed by Siege Wizard Interactive and published by indie.io, runs away to PC via Steam today.

Follow a wizard imprisoned for magical crimes who awakens from an arcane slumber to a single, urgent mission: make it to his niece’s birthday party on time. Escape won’t be graceful. He must carve a path through cursed ruins, suffocating forests, and forgotten crypts crawling with grotesque, vaguely tragic monstrosities. Burn enemies into charred remains as jailors relentlessly pursue the wizard through corridors slick with magical fallout.

Built around a tactile, gesture-driven spellcasting system, Pluto transforms deckbuilding combat into something volatile and physical. Players construct spells from elemental sigils etched across the wizard’s fingers. Overlapping patterns spark explosive synergies, strange chain reactions, and the occasional catastrophic misfire. Each encounter becomes a frantic act of improvisation where a single misplaced gesture separates careful planning and reckless experimentation.

Pluto’s dark, hand-drawn world is illustrated in stark detail by 2D artist DitchWitch and features eight spellcasters at launch, each bending the gesture-based magic system in distinct ways to manipulate fortune in their favor across fast-paced, one-hour runs designed for repeated attempts at escape.

“We wanted spellcasting to feel dangerous, like players are borrowing power they shouldn’t,” said Brodie Lockard, co-creator of Pluto. “Magic in this world isn’t clean or heroic; it’s messy and reactive. The wizard is constantly one gesture away from strategic prowess and massive catastrophe. All for something deeply human: showing up to support loved ones.”

Pluto launches on PC via Steam today for $17.99, with a 20% launch discount. The game includes English language support.

Nightdive Studios Repents and Announces 2026 Release for Long-Awaited SiN: Reloaded

A Remaster of the Morally Twisted Cult-Classic FPS and Wages of SiN Expansion Pack Finally Makes its Way to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch this Year

Vancouver, WA (March 9, 2026) | Nightdive Studios — renowned video game remaster developer and subsidiary of Atari® — is thrilled to announce that SiN: Reloaded, the long-awaited remaster of the 1998 cult classic FPS, will launch in 2026 for PC and consoles. This faithful new edition of SiN boasts enhanced remastered visuals, modernized control schemes, and includes the Wages of SiN extra mission pack. It’s time to pay for your sins, #$!%&!

Set in a near-future dystopian world, SiN: Reloaded puts you in control of security consultant Colonel John R. Blade as you take on the seductively evil Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. When Elexis, CEO of SinTEK Industries, begins injecting the streets with a DNA-altering drug, it’s time to reassess the laws of morality by facing off against Elexis’ unholy army of genetically-engineered mutants.

Known for pushing the Quake II engine to its limits, the original SiN was lauded for introducing a groundbreaking amount of interactivity in every level. Players can hack their way into computer terminals using DOS-style code, use elevators and security cameras to wreak havoc, and traverse levels using a variety of vehicles, including a forklift, a patrol boat, and a helicopter. Your actions have consequences, creating branching paths as the game progresses. From a combat perspective, SiN also helped pioneer the ability to knock weapons out of an opponent’s hands and take area-specific damage from their attacks.

SiN: Reloaded includes the Wages of SiN mission pack, where you go up against a diabolical mafia boss with a new army of dangerous freaks. Both games have been optimized using the KEX Engine to play on modern systems. Graphics have been beautifully remastered with new textures, while control schemes have been modernized, and maps have been improved with Nightdive’s established precision. There’s never been a better way to get … naughty.

Features

  • Play the original SiN and the SiN: Wages of Sin mission pack, optimized using the KEX Engine
  • Beautifully remastered graphics with HD textures and models (up to) 4K resolution at 144 FPS, anti-aliasing, and upgraded 2D screens and menu art
  • Overhauled control schemes and modernized UI for gamepads and M&K
  • Improved maps throughout the game
  • Swap between remastered visuals and the original SiN Gold version
  • Brand-new achievements
  • Higher resolution Zak Belika tracks mixed/engineered by Chris Mock
  • A vault filled with exclusive, behind-the-scenes material

SiN: Reloaded will be released for Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 1|2 later this year.
