CAMBRIDGE, UK – 21st July 2022. Leading global games developer and publisher Jagex has today announced the acquisition of Pipeworks Studios (“Pipeworks”), a highly established and innovative 200-person strong development studio, based in Eugene, Oregon.
Marking its first ever acquisition of an external studio, this transaction reflects Jagex’s commitment to expand its team of world-class talent, as well as grow its footprint in North America.
The acquisition follows a strong period of growth for Jagex. Establishing itself as a leader in community-driven games, Jagex has recorded five years of record games-as-a-service revenues, a series of third-party publishing deals, and its highest ever RuneScape franchise membership. In 2021, global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) acquired Jagex, to support the company’s growth strategy, including M&A.
Founded in 1999, Pipeworks has built a reputation as a global force in gaming and advanced technology solutions for both established and emerging IPs. Sony Interactive Entertainment has overnight announced that the upcoming launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PC is now available for pre-order on Steam and Epic Games Store for $109.95 AUD and will launch on Saturday, 13th August.
The remastered edition will make a host of graphical improvements to help make the gaming experience visually stunning on the PC platform. This includes opening up the extensive configurability options that PC gives to users with the opportunity to utilise new techniques and tools that push things even further.
This will include features such as higher-quality ray-traced reflections, NVIDIA DLSS and DLAA, support for a wide range of resolution outputs to pick from including multi-monitor setups, and increased customisation for many other rendering systems – all of which will give gamers full control of the experience that suits them.

Farm Manager 2022, the latest instalment in the popular series of economic farming strategies, will appear on the Nintendo Switch on July 21st this year. The game allows you to manage your own farm. In Farm Manager 2022 players will find, among others, wide opportunities for farming, animal husbandry, and employee and machine management. The game was previously released on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
The new farming strategy was developed by the Polish studio Cleversan Games. Last year, the game-known as Farm Manager 2021 – debuted on PC, and in 2022 it also appeared on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Ultimate Games S.A. is responsible for preparing and releasing the game on consoles.

Farm Manager 2022 is the second instalment of the popular series of economic farming strategies. The game mainly focuses on managing and developing a farm.
