Lady Dimitrescu Takes ‘The Mercenaries’ to New Heights in Resident Evil Village Gold Edition Trailer

July 22nd, 2022 – Today, Capcom released a new trailer for Resident Evil™ Village Gold Edition and the highly anticipated Winters’ Expansion DLC for the award-winning eighth main installment of the survival horror series. The latest footage provides a closer look at “The Mercenaries Additional Orders”, which introduces new playable characters, more stages, and additional improvements to the beloved fast-paced action mode.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will be available on Oct. 28, 2022 for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Steam. The Winters’ Expansion will also release on the same date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

A new ensemble of heroes and villains join Resident Evil™ Village protagonistEthan Winters as playable characters in “The Mercenaries Additional Orders”. This Winters’ Expansion content updates enables players to step into the sizable shoes of Alcina Dimitrescu, charge into battle wielding the magnetic powers of Karl Heisenberg, and unleash Chris Redfield’s arsenal of weaponry and boulder-boxing fists.

Lady Dimitrescu looms large over enemies in this action-packed mode, where she brings her nine-foot stature to bear against any Lycans or other foes unfortunate enough to cross her path. In combat, Dimitrescu builds a Thrill meter by slicing adversaries to ribbons with her razor-sharp talons. This allows her to perform special actions like slamming down hostiles or summoning her daughters.

Meanwhile, Lord Karl Heisenberg possesses his own electrifying powers. Equipped with a massive hammer and the ability to manipulate magnetic currents, Heisenberg can really put a charge into his attacks. The terrifying creations from Heisenberg’s factory, Soldat Jets, also join him in the fray – but be mindful not to get caught in the crossfire of their self-destructive assaults. Heisenberg can also trade off movement speed to see what enemies are made of by pulling them in with his magnetic field or put on a show everyone can enjoy by slinging scrap metal, like saw blades, their way.

Chris Redfield also S.T.A.R.S. in “The Mercenaries Additional Orders”.  The legendary BSAA agent packs a serious straight punch that not only can get him out of situations where he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place, but it also builds up his Onslaught gauge in a hurry as well. When Onslaught is active, Chris moves and reloads with lightning speed. Chris can also request support from the Hound Wolf Squad by using his target locator to pinpoint enemy positions and call in missile strikes.

Alongside the new playable characters, “The Mercenaries Additional Orders” introduces two new stages, the Bloody Village and Bloody River, plus additional improvements to the experience.

How Naughty Dog rebuilt The Last of Us Part I

PlayStation is excited to share a new gameplay video for The Last Of Us Part I on the PlayStation 5. The latest look at the game, which features commentary from the Naughty Dog development team, gives gamers an in-depth look at the graphical and gameplay improvements made to the highly acclaimed PlayStation title and how it is being brought into the next generation of gaming.

From the art direction to the character models, the entire game has been rebuilt from the ground up to take advantage of a new generation of graphical capability, allowing this game to reach the visual fidelity that the studio aspired for when crafting this experience. 

The PS5’s powerful hardware drives a host of visual benefits, from denser physics with tons of bumpables and chipables (bullets can now rip apart concrete and environmental objects) and cinematics now transition seamlessly to gameplay. The Criminal Enterprises, Coming July 26 to GTA Online

The Southern San Andreas economy is in crisis. Gas prices have spiked to their highest levels in decades, retail supply chains are in turmoil, and to top it off a ferocious heatwave is gripping the state.

Executives, Bikers, Nightclub Owners, and Gunrunners are making the most of the chaotic conditions. Meanwhile, the sudden spike at the pumps has caught the attention of the IAA, who suspect the corrupt Duggan petrochemical family are rigging the system in their favor, and they’re going to need you to help them put the pieces together.

The Criminal Enterprises is a sweeping update bringing new missions and upgrades to GTA Online including significant expansions to business prospects for Criminal Careers, plus new, elaborate Contact Missions with players operating as a sworn-in agent for the IAA and much more starting July 26.

The Criminal Enterprises also delivers highly requested experience improvements while giving players more choice in how they climb their way up the criminal ranks. Players will earn increased payouts across a range of gameplay, enjoy experience improvements, and more — with new modes, vehicles, collectibles, and special events dropping all summer long, including new showroom floors where players can test drive or simply purchase a range of new vehicles on the spot.

Expand Your Businesses

Following the launch of GTAV on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the standalone version of GTA Online earlier this year, The Criminal Enterprises addition to GTA Online grows and evolves the world across all platforms. Whether you’ve entered GTA Online via the Career Builder on the latest generation consoles or you’re a seasoned kingpin, The Criminal Enterprises offers an assortment of exciting new updates for intrepid entrepreneurs of all kinds. And no matter which Criminal Career path you’ve chosen, all Business activities — including Sell Missions — will now be available to play in private (Invite Only, Crew, and Friends) sessions as part of The Criminal Enterprises.

Executives

Those who own an Executive Office will notice new staff manager Lupe, ready and able to help source additional Special Cargo for your empty shelves. A new side gig will also open up for Executives, where a shipment of Special Cargo will arrive daily outside your Warehouse, packed and ready for delivery to the docks. Plus, two new sources of Special Cargo will also be added to the mix of Source Missions, increasing the variety of missions available to white-collar criminals statewide.

Bikers

Clubhouses with the Custom Bike Shop are getting an on-the-house upgrade, where MC Presidents will be able to modify clients’ bikes to specifications and deliver them to customers for GTA$ and RP. Bikers will also be able to bolster their street cred and bottom lines by completing two new Clubhouse Contracts, posted on the meeting room wall at the Clubhouse. And you might notice patrons haunting the bar in your Clubhouse — a Bar Resupply mission will keep the kegs tapped and the clientele happy while earning a little extra income for your MC.

Gunrunners

Ammu-Nation has heard that you’re all about supplying quality goods at a fair price, and they want in. Make a daily delivery to a designated Ammu-Nation store for an additional source of revenue. When stocking your Bunker, you’ll come across two new Resupply Missions, so be sure to rob these new targets for all they’re worth. And players will also be able to launch Resupply Missions from the road or increase their research progress by sourcing data from a well-armed mark.

Nightclub Owners

Nightclub owners can now contact Yohan to take on missions to source Goods for their Nightclub Warehouse or call Tony to launch Club Management missions. Two new Club Management missions have been added to the roster, giving you new ways to promote your above-board operations. Meanwhile, inside your club, you’ll be able to maintain the vibes by ejecting troublemakers and chaperoning passed-out VIPs to safe locations off-site.

Go Undercover in Operation Paper Trail
The profits from soaring gas prices all seem to be flowing one way into the pockets of the most notorious oil-rich dynasty in the Los Santos area. The IAA smells a criminal conspiracy — Agent ULP will be in touch with the new Operation Paper Trail, commissioning 1–4 players as sworn-in agents to investigate the local petrochemical magnates, the Duggans, to see if they’re the invisible hand behind spiraling oil prices.

Get Behind the Wheel with New Vehicles

There will be plenty of new ways to cut a route between points A and B in The Criminal Enterprises, with new vehicles arriving throughout the summer and beyond. Two new Imani Tech-eligible vehicles will be available to take advantage of special upgrades from F. Clinton and Partner’s expert hacker, including remote control, missile lock-on jammer, and more. 

There will also be new Tuners vehicles, and Benny’s Original Motor Works is expanding its capabilities to work on additional vehicles. Meanwhile, Hao is keen to get to work on an existing classic, with a brand-new ride coming later this summer for those on the latest generation of consoles. Plus, an assortment of new and deeper customization options on several OG vehicles, some of which you may already own, that will give them a new look, and a new lease on life.

Increased Payouts and Other Improvements

In addition to all the above, be on the lookout for a comprehensive list of new gameplay and experience improvements coming to GTA Online, including a reduction in the effectiveness of the Oppressor Mk II’s homing missiles and countermeasures, an easier way to replenish Health during firefights with more convenient access to snacks and armor, and much more.

The Criminal Enterprises will also introduce several changes to the economy, including permanent boosts to Race and Adversary Mode payouts, increased payouts for original Heists and The Doomsday Heist, bigger paydays for Bodyguards, Associates, and MC Members, and more.

In this next expansion of the ‘TOMMY PLAY’ space, a new retail store inspired by Bronx-street culture opens its doors to the Roblox community.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (JULY 2022) – Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], further expands its ever-evolving Roblox experience with a virtual TOMMY PLAY store. The brand’s presence on Roblox launched in December 2021 with eight digital fashion designers from the Roblox community creating the Tommy X Roblox Creators collection. The collaboration then expanded to include the June 2022 launch of TOMMY PLAY, an immersive social space with ongoing content updates for the Roblox community. This latest step reflects Tommy Hilfiger’s continued ambitions to offer unique brand experiences to its global community.

Friday 22 July, 2022 — Wizards of the Coast today released Secret Lair Drop Series: Fortnite, the latest collaboration in a series of limited edition cards for Magic: The Gathering (MTG). Secret Lair x Fortnite consists of two mini sets: one for general Fortnite cards containing reskins of existing Magic cards and one for lands and locations in the game. The two mini sets combine for a total of 12 Fortnite-themed cards in both foil and non-foil for players to collect.

The regular Fortnite drop features seven cards reskinned from Magic’s past as Fortnite characters, items and other concepts. Iconic cards such as Wrath of God and Smuggler’s Copter are reskinned as ‘Shrinking Storm’ and ‘Battle Bus’. The Fortnite: Lands and Locations drop contains five cards: one of each basic land type reimagined as an iconic location from Fortnite’s island.

Paris, July 21, 2022 – Today, Ubisoft released its sales figures for the first quarter of fiscal 2022-23, i.e., the three months ended June 30, 2022.

Frédérick Duguet, Chief Financial Officer, said “We delivered a slightly better than expected performance in the quarter, with notably outperformances from Rainbow Six Siege and the Assassin’s Creed brand. The past months have been very active, with the gameplay reveals of Mario Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Skull and Bones. Players’ feedback for the reveal of The Division Resurgence and for the ongoing tests of Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division Heartland and XDefiant have been supportive.”

Q1 ACTIVITY

  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege performed ahead of expectations. The team has been hard at work to deliver very ambitious Year 7 content, translating into a stabilization of PRI thanks to a very strong DARPU and Battle Pass conversion.
  • The Assassin’s Creed brand also performed ahead of expectations on the back of a strong quarter from Odyssey, Origins and Valhalla. We saw a significant uptick in overall engagement, with double-digit active player growth versus last year as players were excited by the beginning of the campaign for the 15th Anniversary of the brand. This campaign will be marked by a series of celebrations for the community throughout the summer that will lead to the unveiling of the future of Assassin’s Creed in September during a very special event.
  • Roller Champions™ has been well received by players for its fun and dynamic gameplay. On both retention and revenues KPIs, Roller Champions is tracking ahead of Hyper Scape™.

PIPELINE OF GAMES

  • Ubisoft showcased Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, set to release on October 20th, with a first glimpse into its gameplay. The community applauded the tactical aspect of the game, and Gamespot described the upcoming game as “primed to surprise players all over again, with a greater degree of flexibility and more Mario like mechanics”. The community is eagerly awaiting its launch which is one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch releases this year.
  • Skull and Bones also made its comeback with an extended gameplay walkthrough. The core strength of the game revolves around its unique combination of a gritty pirate fantasy, dynamic and action-packed naval combat as well as multiplayer features, based on both co-op and PvP, that will allow players to have memorable moments with friends. The game will release on November 8th.
  • On free-to-play, we revealed Tom Clancy’s The Division: Resurgence the upcoming mobile title in the brand’s universe. Built from the ground up on mobile, the game will be based on an independent storyline and stay true to the brand DNA with a vast open world in a very detailed urban environment with stunning graphics for the platform. With this title, we are bringing The Division franchise to a significantly larger audience. Initial player reception has been very positive.
  • The quarter was also very active on the other Free-to-Play initiatives as different testing phases for XDefiant, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Heartland took place around the world. Player feedback was supportive throughout these respective tests which will continue over the coming months.
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will now release in 2023-24. We are committed to delivering a cutting-edge immersive experience that takes full advantage of next-gen technology, as this amazing global entertainment brand represents a major multi-year opportunity for Ubisoft.
  • We also decided to release in 2023-24 a smaller unannounced premium game, originally slated for 2022-23.
  • While this additional development time is a reflection of the current ongoing constraints on productions across the industry, we are hard at work to design the most efficient working conditions to ensure both flexibility for our teams as well as strong productivity while delivering the best experiences to players.
  • Ubisoft Forward will return on September 10th, with updates and news on multiple games and projects from our teams around the world.

PLAY GREEN: PROGRESS ON UBISOFT’S ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENTS

Ubisoft has received the official Target Validation from the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), confirming that Ubisoft’s 2030 carbon reduction objective is in line the goal to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Ubisoft is the first pure-player video game company to receive its official Target Validation by the SBTi.

APPROVAL OF ALL RESOLUTIONS AT UBISOFT’S ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Ubisoft’s shareholders approved all the resolutions on the agenda for its Annual General Meeting early July with approval rates above 95%. The vote notably led to the appointment of Claude France as independent director, who brings her expertise in technology, both in cloud and online services, as well as her experience working in international multi-cultural environments. With this appointment, the Board returns to an absolute majority of independent directors, reaches 45% women, and includes three employee-representatives.

IFRS 15 sales for the first quarter of 2022-23 came to €318.2 million, down 9.8% (13.9% at constant exchange rates[1]) compared with the €352.8 million generated in first-quarter 2021-22.

First-quarter 2022-23 net bookings totaled €293.3 million, exceeding the target of around €280.0 million and down 10.0% (14.2% at constant exchange rates) on the €326.0 million figure for the first quarter of 2021-22.

Second-quarter 2022-23

Net bookings for the second quarter of 2021-22 are expected to come in at around €270 million.

Full-year 2022-23

The Company continues to expect significant net bookings growth and confirms its non-IFRS operating income target of approximately €400 million for full-year 2022-23.

Leading video game developer and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. announced today that DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS will release on October 14, 2022. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, and will be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Physical pre-orders on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC are now available with select retailers. Digital pre-orders will be available at a later date.

DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS will be available in three different editions:

  • The standard edition will be available only in Digital and will contain the game. Pre-orders for this edition will unlock the “Android 18 Transphere” with the “Wall Kick” skill and the “Scouter (Blue)” accessory.
  • The Special Edition is available both in retail and digital and will contain the full game as well as the Special Edition Pack with a Customizable costume, the “Two-Handed Good” victory pose and the “Dragon (Yellow)” vehicle skin. Pre-orders for this edition will also unlock the “Android 18 Transphere” and “Scouter (Blue)” accessory.
  • The Limited Edition will be exclusive to the Bandai Namco Store. Taking place in the DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE universe, DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS will pit a team of seven Survivors trying to escape one Raider. The Raider,  one of the major antagonists from the franchise, will have to use their overwhelming power and increasingly powerful evolutions to hunt and defeat the Survivors.

Survivors are regular civilians that have been caught in a “Temporal Seam”, trapping them in a place where space and time are in disarray. The main objective of Survivors is to escape the Temporal Seam using various gadgets, the most valuable of which are Transpheres, that contain the souls of Super warriors and grant special abilities and powers when used.

In this dangerous environment that Survivors share with the Raider, the hope is to use the Super Time Machine to evade the Temporal Seam before their enemy becomes unstoppable.

A Closed Network Test will be held on all platforms on August 6 and 7. Players can register here to try and get access to the Closed Network Test. During this CNT, Frieza, the newly announced Raider, and Cell will be available to play. Avatar, Oolong Survivor Skin and Bulma Survivor Skin will also be available to play as Survivors.

The CNT will be playable at the following times:

  • Saturday, August 6 – 4:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. CEST
