RimWorld Console Edition Launches Tomorrow, Putting The Fate Of The Colony In Your Hands

RimWorld Console Edition Launches Tomorrow, Putting The Fate Of The Colony In Your Hands

Experience your own dramatic rise and fall in RimWorld Console Edition

Middlesborough, UK. (July 28, 2022) — The next critically-acclaimed console port from developer and publisher Double Eleven (Rust Console Edition, Prison Architect Console Edition) is finally here.

Launching tomorrow for $39.99, RimWorld Console Edition has received rave reviews (10/10 Windows Central, 80/100 Common Sense Media, 85/100 God Is A Geek) and promises to bring PlayStation and Xbox players one of the most engaging and enthralling sim experiences available. Preorders are available now at rimworld.double11.com/preorder

One of PC gaming’s most popular sim titles since its official release in 2018, RimWorld offers an organic storytelling experience like no other. From the beginning of a game, players will pick a starting location for their three randomly generated colonists on a randomly generated planet. From there, the lives of those colonists are in the hands of the player and whichever AI storyteller they’ve chosen.

Check out the RimWorld Console Edition launch trailer:

As players navigate these characters through each trial and tribulation thrown their way – whether a sudden bout of plague hits their colony or a horde of man-eating monkeys invade – a story will slowly unfold. Heroes will rise among the colonists, those who perform acts of daring seemingly on a whim. Tensions will rise as colonists interact with one another, building their own social relationships or romances. And inevitably, a challenge will arise that takes some kind of toll, leaving players to pick up the pieces for those who survive.

Driving these stories forward are RimWorld’s three intelligent AI storytellers: Phoebe Chillax, Cassandra Classic, and Randy Random. With each throwing their own unique blend of challenges at players, no two games of RimWorld Console Edition are ever the same. To ensure that players can comfortably navigate RimWorld’s litany of menus and complex UI during even the most intense situations, Double Eleven has worked closely with RimWorld developer Ludeon Studios to expertly translate the game’s PC controls to gamepad. Console players will feel right at home as they fend off invasions of mechs or decide the fate of a berserking colonist.

With a mountain of content already available, players can further bolster RimWorld Console Edition by purchasing its Digital Deluxe version, which comes with the Royalty DLC. Adding a brand-new faction to the game, The Empire, players will be able to antagonize the highly advanced civilization for a chance to steal their weapons and armor or ally themselves and join The Empire’s court. Doing so brings all the benefits that befit a noble in RimWorld’s universe, including amazing psionic powers. New threats, advanced prosthetics and modifications, and more are brought to RimWorld Console Edition’s bustling world with the addition of the Royalty DLC.

Build your colony, guide them best you can, and create unique stories that can’t be experienced anywhere else when RimWorld Console Edition launches on PlayStation and Xbox consoles tomorrow.

Enter a world inspired by the science fiction books of the 50s and 60s and the original Alien movies

Watch the 25-minute gameplay video and listen to the Kuklam Studios developer commentary to get a glimpse of the horror you’re about to face onboard the Ascendancy spaceship.

Add the game to your Steam Wishlist (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1460010/Cryospace/) to prepare for your mission once the game launches.

CRYOSPACE – MAIN FEATURES

  • Explore the shipwreck. Scout for resources, including oxygen, weapons, and anything else that will increase your chances of survival.
  • Team up with your crew members. Find survivors on this almost-destroyed derelict, arm them, and prepare them to fight.
  • Use your wits to stay alive. Solve puzzles, avoid traps, or set them against whatever is hunting you. Remember, only the smartest ones will stay alive.
  • Load, shoot, repeat. Dangerous alien life forms, never in your scariest dreams imagined existed, are playing at home. You’re a guest, or rather, an invader. As such, you’re not welcome – be assured they will let you know that.

CRYOSPACE – THE PLOT

Whether you call it a stroke of luck or a bad omen, the fact remains that you’re the only person awakened from cryo-sleep on a massive starship navigating through space, far from other planets, vessels, or celestial bodies. You’re not alone, however – the ship is filled with deeply sleeping workers, soldiers, and other colonizers sent to populate the far corners of the universe. The plan was simple. Arrive at your destiny, start a colony, and become a legend. However, something went horribly wrong, and here you are. Here, forced to remember at all times not to breathe too deeply, to save oxygen, forced to scout for resources for distribution to the crew members you were forced to awaken. You must decide whose skills are essential for survival, and worst of all, who should get back in the freezer. Besides your troops, there is clearly someone or something else here, something you were not prepared to face. Now the choice is yours – you can lay low and eventually die, as you won’t last long without exploring the ship and hunting for resources. Or, you can get out there and at least give it a shot, literally and figuratively. Whatever you do, remember to keep quiet. Space might be silent, but on a spaceship, your enemies can always hear your scream.

Cryospace is being developed by Kuklam Studios and will be published on PC by Games Operators.

Star Citizen – Alpha 3.17.2 Launches Today Featuring New Siege of Orison Dynamic Event

Increased 100-Player Server Cap, Expanded Derelict Missions, Anvil Centurion Vehicle, and AI Planetary Navigation Offer New Gameplay Opportunities in the ‘Verse

LOS ANGELES – July 28, 2022 – Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) today released Star Citizen – Alpha 3.17.2, bringing new content and features to the expanding ‘verse. Available for download later today, Alpha 3.17.2 introduces the all-new Siege of Orison dynamic event, expands explorable derelict ships and outposts, implements the first iteration of AI Planetary Nav Mesh, adds the drivable Anvil Centurion anti-aircraft vehicle, and more. Today’s update also doubles the capacity of servers from 50 to 100 players per server, allowing more pilots to participate in large-scale dynamic events, tournaments, and PvP encounters.

Siege of Orison is a dynamic event set in an entirely new location in the atmosphere of the Crusader gas giant. Players are invited to join the fight against Nine Tails pirate forces and engage in fast-paced FPS and vehicular combat to gain control of significant new floating platforms, requiring teamwork and creative strategies to achieve victory.

The update also introduces more solo-focused criminal activities with the addition of illegal delivery missions, which can be accessed once pilots have earned a reputation as a trustworthy business partner for outlaw factions. Illegal delivery missions provide greater rewards but come at higher risks including a greater chance of being interdicted by security forces while in-transit.

The first iteration of AI Planetary Nav Mesh has been completed and deployed in the Alpha 3.17.2 update, allowing NPCs to navigate planetary surfaces outside of major cities and even land ships to drop off other NPCs such as troop reinforcements to defend an outpost. Explorable derelicts in Star Citizen have also been expanded considerably with a new Reclaimer Point Of Interest (POI) on microTech, a new wreck-site in space including new mission types, and the introduction of five derelict colonial outposts throughout the Stanton system. These new missions and locations make use of the Planetary Nav Mesh, with derelicts having a chance of being occupied by hostile NPCs eager to defend their territory and the rewards hidden within.

Star Citizen – Alpha 3.17.2update key features include:

  • Siege of Orison Dynamic Event: In this new dynamic event, the Nine Tails outlaw group has taken control of Crusader Industries’ corporate sales platforms by establishing a no-fly zone to prevent access by air. The Siege of Orison is set in an all-new location across four sprawling, highly-detailed platforms that, when combined, offer a massive area nearly equal to that of its own landing zone. The event is primarily focused on FPS combat, with players working together to help Crusader Industries take back control of the platforms and disable the inverter device by eliminating the Nine Tails Lieutenants on each platform to draw out the challenging Nine Tails Commander.
  • 100-Player Server Capacity: The maximum numberof players on a server has been doubled from 50 to 100 players! This increase adds new emergent gameplay for large group activities including space battles, races, and more. This represents the next step on the road to implementing Server Meshing, while CIG continues to work on ongoing network and stability improvements.
  • New Derelict Reclaimer POI and Missions: A new derelict Reclaimer POI has been added to microTech for players to explore, offering new mission types and loot. The new location supports the AI Planetary Nav Mesh, allowing for the introduction of combat missions featuring NPCs. An additional space derelict Reclaimer has also been added with three new custom mission types.
  • Derelict Colonial Outposts: Recently shown off to the Star Citizen community in a development livestream, the outposts are finally ready for pilots to explore! Five derelict colonial outposts have been added across the Stanton system, with their design based on the homesteads first shown at CitizenCon 2021.
  • AI Planetary Navigation: The first iteration of the Planetary Navigation Mesh is now live, allowing NPCs to navigate the varied terrain of planets and even land dropships to deliver troop reinforcements. The tech will serve as the foundation for future content planned for Star Citizen.
  • Anvil Centurion: Control the skies with the Anvil Centurion, now available to drive in-game! This short-range anti-aircraft vehicle houses both the pilot and a dedicated gunner and features four energy weapons with unlimited ammunition to dominate local airspace. The Centurion is a must-have for any combined-arms forces, providing critical support for ground troops.
  • Illegal Delivery Missions: Expanding the existing courier and delivery missions, all-new illegal variations have been added to the game. Once players have built a reputation as a reliable business partner doing legal missions for outlaw factions, they’ll earn the opportunity to pursue a career transporting illicit goods. These missions offer greater rewards, but come with additional risks of being interdicted by security forces or encountering other criminal players who want the illicit goods for themselves.

Star Citizen combines classic space sim and FPS gameplay with boundary-pushing visuals in a massively multiplayer setting of unprecedented fidelity. Live how you want to live: shift paths from cargo hauler to outlaw, explorer, or any other role, whenever you want. Explore multiple planets and moons, including vast cities and underground caverns, all created with a unique combination of procedural planet technology and complementary hand-crafted design.

Enlist today and join this ever-expanding universe by visiting the game’s Welcome Hub and Guide System for tips on how to play. Dystopian Sci-Fi City-Builder Sphere – Flying Cities Gets a Launch Date and Teaser Trailer

Leave Earth in the past and ascend to the heavens in humanity’s last hope for survival

Wiesbaden, Germany – 28th July 2022. It’s nearly time to ascend to the cloudscape, because today, indie publisher Assemble Entertainment revealed a 20th September 2022, launch date for Sphere – Flying Cities, the one-of-a-kind sci-fi survival game leaving Early Access and coming to Steam and GOG

Unlike your typical post-apocalyptic city-builder, Sphere – Flying Cities introduces a unique plot twist: humanity’s last bastion isn’t on the decimated surface of Earth but in the skies! Utilizing novel anti-gravity technology, players manage the well-being of humanity’s last inhabitants in their very first flying city.

Soar through the sky as the denizens of the arial city rebuild, restructure, and protect the last semblance of society. Additionally, the full release of this sky-faring sci-fi title will see new features such as a fully fleshed-out story campaign, six new building blueprints to discover, a completely revamped tutorial, and a terrifying new threat — ice storms.

Check out the newest trailer:

About Sphere – Flying Cities

Inspired by James Blish’s novel “City in Flight”, Sphere – Flying Cities employs a distinct mix of strategy, survival, and city-building simulation elements. Players are put in the position of Commander, whose sole purpose is to maintain order and see to the survival of mankind. In the near future, the planet is thrown into turmoil when Earth’s moon is struck by a colossal asteroid. In the wake of this destruction, the world’s surface is rendered totally uninhabitable. Facing complete annihilation, humanity makes one final and desperate attempt to survive — thanks to newly-created anti-gravity technology, the first (and likely final) faction of flying cities ascends as the ultimate bastion of the human race.

Key Features

  • A City in the Clouds: Construct your city with numerous retro-futuristic buildings, utilize the resources available from the unique sky-vironment, and send out drones to harvest (sometimes rare!) resources and repair buildings to keep everyone’s head in the clouds
  • The Sky’s the Limit: The anti-gravity device and its deflector-shield are the only things protecting the city from (un)natural disasters; maintaining it means the difference between life and certain doom
  • For the Greater Good: Assuring the safety of your city’s denizens is of paramount importance — tend to their needs by supplying food, healthcare, and shelter, as well as undergoing rescue missions. However, keep in mind that you won’t be able to save every building – nor every colonist.
  • Write Your Own Story: Each decision you make, turn you take, and building you create chronicles your own narrative in this compelling near-apocalypse scenario. Define your experience by the paths you follow and determine how your city’s story ends.

Developed by Hexagon Sphere Games and published by Assemble Entertainment, Sphere – Flying Cities is available now on Steam Early Access and GOG for £14.99 / €17.99 and will launch fully on 20th September 2022. Add the game to your wishlist here.

Keeping in line with their philanthropic nature, Assemble Entertainment has partnered with Atmosfair, an environmental development organization that focuses on clean energy climate protection projects, to offer a unique Save the World edition of the game. Including a mini-artbook and in-game cosmetics, a portion of this edition’s profits go directly to the charity.

A year has passed since the survival horror RPG Chernobylite launch, and what a year it’s been! Both The Farm 51 and All in! Games have worked hard on constantly updating the game and enhancing it with free and paid content to make sure Chernobylite is everything gamers wanted it to be. After 365 days and 7,360 Steam reviews resulting in a “Very Positive” rating, it’s time to sum up what both teams have achieved.

During this past year, Chernobylite was not only enriched with a new map, a new weapon, and a new game mode, but gamers also had new types of monsters to face, plenty of skins to choose from, and dozens of new side missions and activities to enjoy.

As usual, the developers don’t plan to stop there and have already planned new content to be added to the game by the end of this year. That content starts with a digital narrative called Chernobylite Short Story: The Arrival, featuring Sashko – the main protagonist’s companion – now available for free on Steam and GOG. You’ll also be able to get the base game and all its previously released DLCs for 30% off during a week-long promotion starting on August 1st.

The Farm 51 has also prepared a special surprise to celebrate the anniversary and launched a crowdfunding campaign on Makeship to bring to life the one and only Black Stalker plushie! The campaign will last until August 25th and will be the only chance to get this limited, 16-cm-tall, fluffy mascot that comes with a blaster and a backpack. While 0% radioactive, it’s 1000% sweet and will most certainly raise the cuteness overload alerts in your house.

There’s also good news for those of you who are less into gaming goodies and more into tech. Starting today, Chernobylite now supports AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 on DX12
