In the game campaign, play solo or co-op locally as special agents tasked to fight a criminal organisation. In addition to drug and weapon trafficking, the organisation lead by the mysterious General Viper seems to have developed a weapon of mass destruction! Following the discovery of several of the group bases, the agents are sent on location to dismantle the consortium, eliminate the weapons and free the hostages from various prisoner camps.

The co-op action FPS continues to be supported with world-expanding content 

Sydney, Australia – September 16, 2022 – Vertigo Games, the VR specialist publishing and development arm of PLAION, have today launched the world-expanding content update ‘Reclamation’ for their VR action FPS After the Fall. Critically acclaimed for its cutting-edge multiplayer co-op action, After the Fall continues to grow its player base since launch in December 2021, with over 55K monthly active players as of late. The Reclamation update brings two new maps for worldbuilding, expanded arsenal and modes, new enemies, and several gameplay updates. It’s now available for free to all owners of the game on Meta Quest 2, PSVR, PC VR, Pico and iQIYI. Vertigo Games released an action-packed trailer to showcase the new content. 

The ‘Reclamation’ update has players take back the Snowbreed-infested LA in ‘Downtown’, a new Harvest map, and ‘The Mall’, the largest Horde Mode map to date. With two new enemies and a unique final encounter in ‘Downtown’ that has players fight off sprawl to survive, they need all the armoury they can get. The weapon arsenal has been expanded with the fast-firing ‘Auto-Shotgun’ and the experimental combat device ‘Sawblade’, which shoots bouncing blades that deal insanely high damage. The new enemies spotted roaming through LA are The Gunner, who has an LMG permanently rooted to his arm, and The Charger, a Snowbreed that rushes towards players before doing explosive amounts of damage in a large radius. The ‘Reclamation’ update also adds 17 unique skins to players, as well as multiple Quality of Life updates. Moving forward, Vertigo Games plans to keep expanding and further improving the world of After the Fall for all its players. 

With intense 4-player co-op and crossplay at its core, After the Fall offers action-packed co-op gameplay, built from the ground up for VR.  Starting out in a shared space with up to 32 other players across all platforms, players venture out into the remains of post-apocalyptic LA in squads of four, wielding weapons with real-life movements. Deathmatch Creator Update 

Starting today, players can use the Deathmatch Creator to build out tons of new game types and modes with a slew of additions to the tool. The Deathmatch Creator Tutorial has been updated to guide you through the new additions, which include customization and modification options to define player inventories, alter team balancing, control starting health, hide player blips, change movement speeds and much, much more. You can even use new Modifier Sets to shrink play areas over time and gain health or other items as you score a kill.

To showcase what these new tools are capable of, we’ve published six new Deathmatches made using the updated Creator, now playable in-game:

Big Shot: You’ve got just one gun, one bullet, and one shot to kill your foes. Taking out an enemy will reward you with another bullet, but you can also scavenge from fallen fighters. The first team to reach the target score wins.

Speed Kills: Balance is crucial in this mode where the first team to reach the target score wins. One moves quickly while carrying slow-firing weapons; the other moves slowly but carry weapons with faster rates-of-fire.

Hot Swap: Racking up the highest score you can in a five-minute window sounds simple, but things can get complicated when the weapon in your hand keeps changing. Transferable skills have never been so important.

Dead Head: Take out your enemies to earn points — headshots earn bonus points. Precision is the key component.

Sumo Crush: This free-for-all Sumo variation is all about momentum: force your competition out of the area to score points. Last one standing wins.

Friendly Fire: This one’s simple, but with a twist: kill the enemies, and stop them from wiping out your team to earn points. Here’s the catch: killing your own teammates gives you a bonus. Can you wipe out the enemy team before they wipe out each other?

Announcing the Winner of the Sprunk vs. eCola Showdown

Well, the dust has settled, and the branding exercise of the century is over. It’s been a dog-eat-dog competition out there: red and green doing battle on the streets over the past month in the Sprunk vs. eCola showdown.

TOKYO — 15 Sept., 2022 — fault – StP – LIGHTKRAVTE, the latest entry in the cinematic sci-fi-meets-fantasy visual novel series with more than 500,000 copies sold from developer ALICE IN DISSONANCE and publisher Phoenixx, goes back to the beginning to telling its origin story today for Nintendo Switch.

The fault series returns with its first full release since fault – milestone two side: above, which released on console in 2020. Take in a story that combines cinematic flair and style combined with a compelling novel-length script, and sets the stage for the events in the other fault games.

Experience the story of Khaji, a young boy who seeks to leave his mundane life on the family orchard behind and chase his dreams of becoming a respected painter in the kingdom of Rughzenhaide – regardless of his level or artistic talent. Khaji runs into familiar characters to longtime fault fans and new faces who will challenge both his skills and beliefs, as he becomes drawn into a world where magic and science coexist.

fault – StP – LIGHTKRAVTE can be enjoyed by both longtime fans and newcomes alike with a story that takes placefive years before the events of fault – milestone one. For those new to the series, the Switch version contains a dictionary feature designed to help explain established terms, characters, and plot points and get newcomers up to speed and into the world as quickly as possible.

Previous fault enthusiasts can enjoy meeting familiar characters and discover more about their origins and how they became the series stalwarts beloved by fans, such as seeing the origins of Ritona before she became the princess’ guardian.

TOKYO – 15 Sept., 2022 – NeverAwake, the nightmarish twin-stick shoot ‘em up set in a world of a young girl’s fears and horrors, from developer Neotro Inc. and publisher Phoenixx, takes on a realm of nightmares on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on Thursday, 19 Jan., 2023, as revealed during Tokyo Game Show.

Childhood nightmares will last forever, thanks to a physical release in Western territories through a partner to be announced later and in Eastern regions through Happinet. Physical preorders will open in the coming months for Vermillion Gate Grand Prize winner at BitSummit 2022, Japan’s most prestigious indie game festival. Bedtime comes first for PC sleepers, with a Steam version for PC arriving on Wednesday, 28 Sept. 

Explore the nightmares of Rem, a little girl shackled in her nightmares by her fear of vegetables, dentists, and her classmates. She summons up the internal strength to fight against her tormentors, wielding a demonic, dragon-shaped gun that can vanquish these twisted abominations. Square off against giant, grotesque bosses, all hand-animated with incredible detail.

Fight against waves of imaginary monsters in more than 80 looping, side-scrolling levels, dodging, aiming, and shooting in 360-degree combat to defeat enemies, and collect the souls of defeated monsters to complete each level. Failing to collect 100 percent souls on the first loop leads to more dangerous levels on the next loop. Spend collected souls on upgrades and a temporary powerup to make the stage easier if things get too nightmarish.

“I wanted to make a shooter that would not only be accessible to those who already enjoy fast-paced shooters, but those who are less skilled and just want to enjoy the art and atmosphere,” said Hiroshi Sawatari, founder, Neotro Inc. “But make no mistake, those who want a challenge from NeverAwake can find plenty of features like branching paths and high score leaderboards to get the most out of the game.”

NeverAwake releases Thursday, 19 Jan., 2023, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $19.99, and support for English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language text. Limited Run Games and Happinet will offer physical version pre-orders in the coming months. NeverAwake releases on PC on Steam on Wednesday, 28 Sept., 2022.

NORCO, La. – Sept. 15, 2022 – Raw Fury and game dev collective Geography of Robots are bringing NORCO to consoles on Oct. 20, 2022. The critically acclaimed Southern Gothic point-and-click narrative adventure game will be available as digital download for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, and Xbox One. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.

NORCO drags players into a gritty, distorted version of South Louisiana. While searching for your missing brother in the aftermath of your mother’s death, players must team up with a fugitive android and explore the sinking suburbs, rundown strip malls, drainage ditches, and verdant industrial swamps of Louisiana’s petrochemical hinterlands.

NORCO is the debut title from developer collective Geography of Robots. Lead creator Yuts was born and raised in Norco, Louisiana, an acronym for New Orleans Refining Co., located in the so-called “Cancer Alley,” a stretch of the Mississippi that accounts for 1/4 of the US’s petrochemical production. The game blends real locations, personal stories and Southern Gothic literature with a captivating original soundtrack featuring a guest track by Southern metal Band THOU.

NORCO is already available for Windows PC and MacOS on Steam, GOG.com, and PC Game Pass. The game will include full controller support, trophies, and achievements on consoles.
