PARIS (Aug. 26, 2022) – Following the game’s Spring update, Sloclap have announced a release date for the next major update for the critically acclaimed Kung Fu beat-’em-up, Sifu. Launching on Aug. 31, Sifu’s free Summer 2022 update is focused on giving players more ways to play by adding a slew of new features including gameplay modifiers, a brand-new scoring system and additional stylish outfits. Sifu is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store for $39.99 at www.sifugame.com. Owners of the game can look forward to the free Summer 2022 update arriving on Aug. 31. 

For those who have already walked Sifu’s path to Wude, brand-new gameplay modifiers and a new scoring system will push their abilities and skills to the absolute limit, or give them the opportunity to beat on enemies stress-free. These modifiers swing in both directions, bumping Sifu’s challenge up by letting enemies ignore a player’s guard and preventing them from picking up weapons or giving them infinite health and structure, and unbreakable weapons. Players who want a true challenge can make their own “hardcore” runs by making enemies even stronger, reducing their character to a single hit point and removing aging as well as guarding. 

Players who may like to brag about their mastery of Kung Fu can finally show off a new score that better reflects their fighting finesse. The new scoring system will take into account every punch, kick, sweep and finisher performed, doling out a ranking based on a player’s smoothness, efficiency and variety. Dismantle a group of enemies without getting hit, and players will be greeted with a score worth flaunting. 

Speaking of flaunting, players will be able to show off their moves with two additional outfits. Accessed in the Wuguan, the Enforcer armor, a set that covers Sifu’s protagonist in a suit of tactical equipment, will be made available to owners of the game’s deluxe edition. All players will be able to access the second outfit, Master Hand. Featuring a sleek trench coat and a stylish hat, players will be challenged to avoid every incoming attack if they want to keep their look intact. 

Following its launch in February, Sifu has been hailed as one of 2022’s early GOTY contenders, reaching more than one million copies sold in its first three weeks and receiving critical acclaim. Sloclap’s support of the game is planned to continue past this month’s update with two more arriving throughout the remainder of the year.

Hertfordshire, 26^th August 2022 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA revealed the first gameplay trailer for its exhilarating supernatural epic, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The new trailer showcases a dark Three Kingdoms plagued by demons, with glimpses into the sword-based action based on the Chinese martial arts, where actions flow gracefully between offensive and defensive manoeuvres. Currently in development for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and on PC via Windows and Steam®, the game is scheduled to release in early 2023 and will be available day one with Game Pass on console and PC.

Also announced today is the worldwide gameplay debut of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty at Tokyo Game Show 2022, starting on the 15^th September at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The world’s first playable demo will be available on the show floor at KOEI TECMO’s booth. August 26^th, 2022 — With a new team joining, player trading off-season and significant changes to the format and finals, the World of Tanks ANZ Premier League is kicking off Season Five with intense tank action today – Friday 26^th August!

Returning to safeguard their crown, are Season Four champions the North Sydney Sentinels, and their formidable finals competitor, the South Sydney Skorpions. Taking the place of the Brisbane Bulldogs are a new team, the Cairns Comets, who’ve made their way up the ladder from the ANZBL.

The first ever player trade of the competition, Trax heads over to the Adelaide Action X, while Saxon joins the rebranded Christchurch Conquerors. The Melbourne Matildas and Penrith Panthers round out the six teams competing this season.

Kevin Zhu, World of Tanks ANZ Community Evangelist, says as the league gets bigger, the team use each new season to roll out significant changes and greater ways to engage with the community.

“We’ve introduced changes to the Grand Finals format, created more variety with map selection, and Mines have been substituted this season for the Siegfried Line. The ever-popular Fantasy League is back and we’re added in a new weekly prize pool,” said Kevin.

Season Five’s Grand Finals will now feature a ‘best of 9’ format, which means teams who earn their right to play on stage, live from Fortress Melbourne, will need to take five victories and spread their diversity across the map.

To heat up the competitiveness further, team can now no longer pick the same map as tiebreaker for the week. This means if a tiebreaker occurs, it will always be on a new map. So, commanders will have to be more prepared this season since maps will be unknown until mere hours before the match.

The season starts with the roll-out of Update 1.18, which will include a new line of Italian tanks. New tactics are sure to be displayed with the arrival of six tanks, including the Tier X TD (the Minotauro) and the re-worked AMX M4 54.

Last but certainly not least, the mighty Fantasy League returns, where the best over the competition can take home the lion’s share in prizing. This season, a weekly prize pool has been added where the person who earns the most points in that specific week, earns a cool 500 gold.

The World of Tanks ANZ Premier League (ANZPL) is a 5v5 competitive World of Tanks mode, featuring state-based teams, a double round robin group stage, a grassroots league in the ANZBL, and an offline LAN final to determine the best team across Australia and New Zealand.

Season Five will commence on August 26^th 2022, with the finals culminating on November 26^th 2022.

2K today revealed an extensive look at the new features and updates coming to MyTEAM in NBA® 2K23, including all-new cards and rewards, the introduction of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op*, and eliminating the need for contracts. Additionally, the annual $250,000 MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament** returns for players to compete in, with one track on Playstation® 4/Xbox One consoles and another track on Playstation 5/Xbox Series X|S consoles.

“We’ve implemented a number of highly requested changes to MyTEAM this year that were top of mind for our community, including the removal of contracts, along with the addition of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op that allows players to team up with friends for the first time ever to test their skills in Co-Op 3v3 online gameplay”, said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at 2K and Visual Concepts. “We expect to see some exciting match-ups with the return of our annual $250,000 MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament as the best NBA 2K players go head-to-head to prove their skills on the virtual court!” 

Top highlights of this year’s NBA 2K23 MyTEAM updates include:

• Triple Threat Online: Co-Op*: For the first time ever in MyTEAM, this brand new game mode will allow players to partner with friends for Co-Op 3v3 online gameplay across different variations. Party Mode, Co-Op and Competitive Online.

• Unlimited: The all-new Prestige Tiers allow players that reach the top tier to start over and unlock even more rewards. Players will earn Season Points, with every win or loss, that help them to advance tiers. Every win will provide a vault opening. Leaderboards are back and will show stats from friends and top players throughout the MyTEAM community. As an added bonus, a special icon will be displayed next to the names of players in the Top 10. Players can also earn a special icon for completing all possible tiers and prestiges for the Season.

• Clutch Time Single Player: Jump into a single player version of Clutch Time, a fast-paced mode with a 4-point line, to take your best starting five and compete against the AI.

• Starter Cards: Players can choose between All-Stars Ja Morant, Jimmy Butler or Joel Embiid to lead their collection. Players will get to play with their Starter Card choices in a Triple Threat game before finalizing their decision. After 10 games in any MyTEAM mode players will earn a 90 OVR Amethyst Fred Jones card to help jumpstart their team.

• Exhibitions: In Exhibitions, players can now send player cards outside of their 13-player lineup on vacation around the globe and players will return with a special reward from their mission.

• Trophy Case: This is a new way to earn top tier players from each franchise by completing a team’s Trophy Case. With 15 Event Cards for each NBA franchise, showcasing key moments of their history, players can earn a Pink Diamond player for each team.

• MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament**: $250,000 MyTEAM Unlimited Tournaments return this year for each console generation. Reach the Emerald Tier in the new Unlimited before the first GameDay on October 15 to participate. The finalists will be brought to an in-person setting to crown the $50,000 Console Champions, and the $200,000 Grand Champions.
