Local charity teams with global video game publisher on philanthropic projects to design, renovate, and unveil new basketball courts across Australia

Sydney, Australia, December 8, 2022 –  2K Foundations, the philanthropic arm of 2K that supports and inspires underserved communities by investing directly in local enrichment programs, has unveiled its latest project and first in Australia with initiatives in Nyewente and Sydney, with additional plans to unveil a court in Mutitjulu in 2023. In partnership with Charity Bounce, a non-profit organization that aims to inspire positive change to overcome disadvantages for individuals and communities, with a focus on Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders and culturally diverse communities, including newly-arrived refugees.

The renovation of the Nyewente court was created with local aboriginal artist Audrey McCormack. The unique backboard depicts the forming of an enduring relationship between the Alice Springs based town camp ‘Nyewente Aboriginal Community’ and the Charity Bounce organization. McCormack set out to bring to life the connection between Charity Bounce and the Nyewente Aboriginal Community with the goal of aiming to support and develop pathways into adulthood.

“Basketball is such a powerful tool to engage with young people and these courts provide a canvas for us to work on to build resiliency and positive job futures for those we work with,” said Ian Heininger, CEO and Co-Founder of Charity Bounce. “We are excited to partner with 2K Foundations and look forward to seeing the impact these projects have for many years ahead.”

For Sydney, Indigenous artist Alicia “Bilyara” Bennett  was tapped to create the artwork. Bennett, a natural fit as she is passionate about youth and facilitates art projects in Sydney. She created this piece with lines to symbolize branches and leaves that fall from the trees in summer and become one with the ground awaiting their transition into the dust to nurture the land. The Sydney court is a 3×3 outdoor court with the intended purpose of being used by students with disabilities. The project will provide access to more than 70 students with a disability, as well as the local students and community.

The courts are now available for public use and recently, an opening celebration was held in Sydney that included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, pick-up basketball games, and a resiliency skills session for the local youth.

Over the last year, 2K Foundations has grown its efforts to support a number of projects, representing communities around the globe and enhancing the program’s expansion to include career and learning initiatives, increased access to sports through golf clinics and tournaments, community enrichment opportunities through music and upgraded studios, and much more. Recent projects include a refurbished and redesigned basketball court at Sojourner Truth Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota with 3x NBA All-Star and 2022 3-point contest champion Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and 2K Foundations’first ever activation in Asia with court renovations in Tokyo, created alongside the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation. Rise once again, Tarnished! The free Colosseum update for ELDEN RING is available today on all platforms. This DLC brings new Player versus Player features and all-new cosmetic options.

PvP Colosseums – The Colosseum doors open for the first time to reveal a new challenge, unlocking three new arenas. Located in Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell, each arena comes with its own sets of rules and will be theatres of fierce Player versus Player confrontations.

The Limgrave Colosseum features two modes: United Combat and Combat Ordeal.

• In United Combat, combatants will be divided into two teams to fight in timed battles with the ability to respawn. Each death and respawn grants points to the adversaries, offering victory to the team with the higher score.
• In Combat Ordeal, it’s every Tarnished for themselves. Combatants in this mode can also respawn until the timer hits zero, and the one with the most points will prevail as victor.

The Royal Colosseum, located in Leyndell, features Duel Mode. Two Tarnished face off in a duel to the death, and without the ability to respawn.

The Caelid Colosseum features all aforementioned modes with the addition of being able to summon Spirit Ashes to fight by players’ sides.

Join the fight on your own or use group passwords to match up with or against friends, and prove your worth in the Colosseums!

Cosmetics – Five new hairstyles also await players returning to their adventure in ELDEN RING or taking on the new challenges in the Colosseums.

A Duke of Hell and former general of the Devil King makes his appearance wearing a unique mask

First appearing in the original anime, Vanir makes his entrance in KonoSuba: Fantastic Days! as a Duke of Hell and former general of the Devil King. As a result of that absolutely staggering take in The Heists Challenge, a new vehicle in the upcoming GTA Online update — the retro-styled Declasse Tahoma Coupe — will be made available to all GTA Online players for a limited period later this month.

Building off a suite of adjustments made earlier this year — and as part of our continued commitment to make improvements based largely on player feedback, this December’s GTA Online update will add a wide range of new improvements to Freemode and beyond, many of which were submitted directly by players via the GTA Online feedback website.

General Improvements

• Get to your favorite iFruit Contacts faster — select which Contacts to display or hide via the Interaction Menu.
• The Benefactor Terrorbyte can be used to launch Business Sell Missions in all Session types, including Invite-only Sessions.
• Take on Agatha’s Casino Story Missions as a solo operator by visiting the Management Office of The Diamond Casino & Resort (these missions previously required at least 2 players).
• PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will add ray-traced reflections — rendering real-time reflections on many surfaces — via the Fidelity Mode graphics setting.

Vehicle Updates

• New vehicle purchases will arrive in your Garage faster than before.
• Select Custom Weaponized Vehicles can now be used in Races, where appropriate — weapons will be disabled outside of GTA Races.
• Bicycles will be added to the list of vehicles that can be requested from your Personal Garage when calling the Mechanic.
• Players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can enjoy full access to Hao’s Special Works without needing to complete Hao’s introductory race.

Economy Updates

• Completing Vehicle Cargo Sell Missions in Public Sessions will award a High Demand Bonus, bringing this in line with all other business activities, while payouts on Smuggler’s Sell Missions will be permanently tripled.
• Get more of what you want faster with an across-the-board increase in the GTA$ value of all Shark Cards. Starting today, all Shark Card denominations have been boosted by 20–25% when purchased directly in GTA Online or via any of the platform stores. For special GTA+ Member Shark Cards, this is on top of the current 15% bonus GTA$.

These experience improvements and more will arrive alongside the next GTA Online update for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, coming later this month. Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, Lost Between Worlds is a thrilling new chapter of Dani Rojas’ story, set in a fractured version of Yara. Players will dive into a rich action-packed gauntlet with deadly crystal enemies, a wide variety of unique gameplay challenges with bewildering supernatural obstacles, and multiple player paths. Players will test  their wit, prove their skill, and overcome death itself – or be lost forever.

Following their exploration of a mysterious meteorite impact site, Dani will find themselves in a twisted space between worlds accompanied by a noncorporeal lifeform named Fai. Players will need to repair Fai’s broken spacecraft by collecting five lost shards, each increasing Dani’s overall stats for survivability and bringing them one step closer to escape.

To recover the missing shards, players will need to rely on their guerrilla skills to navigate through 15 unique and challenging trials called Rifts, where they must use the tactical Chromatic Combat system to defeat Shardfaces, humanoid and animal crystalline enemies, while finding their way to the exit portals. In each distinctive Rift, such as a shattered fortress suspended in the sky and an underwater Esperanza full of deadly traps, players will encounter different dangers and otherworldly obstacles. Players can choose how they approach each Rift and will uncover powerful weapons and tools along the way. Glints, energy fragments scattered throughout the area, allow players to revive and retry a Rift, if necessary. With multiple branching paths, platforming exploration, and intense moment-to-moment action, players will use stealth, speed, navigation, and smarts to master this twisted world. Upon mission completion, players will receive Fai’s powerful gear and will be able to take it back to Yara for an ethereal edge in the ongoing fight against the regime.

Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have launched the next major Back 4 Blood downloadable content (DLC) expansion, River of Blood. The latest expansion features a brand-new story campaign and a new Cleaner, Tala, a former cultist outcast who is accompanied by a friendly Ridden Tallboy companion known as Jeff. Players can use the whistle found in-game to summon Jeff as long as Tala is on the team. River of Blood also includes eight exclusive character skins and 12 exclusive weapon skins, along with new weapons, accessories, and cards. The River of Blood expansion is available now as part of the Back 4 Blood Annual Pass, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition, Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition, or via standalone purchase and follows the previously releasedChildren of the Worm and Tunnels of Terror DLC expansions.

Additionally, Trial of the Worm, a new cooperative PvE mode,is available now as a free update for all Back 4 Blood owners. Trial of the Worm allows players to determine their path down a four-map chain while earning Supply Points along the way. Players can add Corruption Modifiers or choose the more vigorous paths to increase difficulty and boost the amount of Supply Points awarded. Those looking for a challenge or a more customised difficulty can work towards completing Trial of the Worm with a high score to earn a top spot on the online leaderboard.

Lastly, the Back 4 Blood in-game Holiday Event returns today and will be available through Jan. 4, 2023, with festive decorations in Fort Hope, holiday music at the jukebox, and emblems, weapon skins, sprays, and holiday skins to obtain, including reindeer antlers for Holly, an ugly sweater for Mom, elf ears for Evangelo and more.
