Catch and Slash

The Skull Merchant is an apex hunter who uses macabre technology to spin a web of surveillance. Thanks to her Drones – hand-crafted using the remains of her victims, no less – she has a constant source of information at her disposal. 

Since The Skull Merchant established her hunting base in Shelter Woods, players will, from now on, encounter the map with her luxurious but gruesome amenities. Better Together

Growing up, siblings Thalita and Renato would bicker a lot and used their shared passion for kite fighting to settle their petty squabbles. From there, both developed a special bond, from which their Survivor perks stem from. These Teamwork Perks are geared towards collaboration and activate as long as Thalita or Renato remain in proximity with another Survivor. After healing a Survivor, Thalita’s Teamwork: Power of Two generates a movement speed boost for the healed Survivor and herself. After being healed by a fellow Survivor, Renato’s Teamwork: Collective Stealth hides both sets of Scratch Marks, provided the two players stay close together.     

Slaying Season

The Skull Merchant and the Siblings are the star of a new Collection of Exclusive Outfits to celebrate the Chapter’s release. Fans can get their hands on a Very Rare Cosmetic aptly named Encroaching Darkness for The Skull Merchant, from the Sonhadores Sombrios Collection and inspired by the dark and horrifying manga created by her late father. Thalita and Renato can be adorned in their Very Rare Outfits from the Family Album Collection. In today’s reveal trailer, meet the team and watch them launch into action. Each member of Ra Ra Boom’s diverse cast of playable characters – Aris, Saida, Ren and Vee – sports their own weapons and abilities, giving players four different, unique takes on combat. Play fast and loose as Aris with her scythe or bring the pain as Vee, who wields a shield and machine gun. Any way you play, you and your teammates will be dismantling the robotic opposition.  

Building on the game’s core frenetic beat ’em up 2D action co-op gameplay, Ra Ra Boom incorporates huge boss battles and ranged attacks to create diverse gameplay within the traditional beat ‘em up genre. Each of the ninja cheerleaders will sport upgradable combos for both melee and ranged attacks featuring light, heavy and special attacks to keep each fight fresh and fierce. 

Ra Ra Boom also augments traditional beat ’em up gameplay with its unique integrated lane system. Integrating horizontal lanes naturally into the hand-drawn environments, you’ll be able to tell which enemy you’re targeting with a flurry of furious blows – whether in melee range or attacking from a distance using ranged attacks. With the ability to quickly switch between lanes, you can strategically target multiple opponents, racking up massive combos any true beat-’em-up fan can enjoy.

Ra Ra Boom features four playable, relatable characters all processing grief in their own way after the death of their friend and leader at the nefarious hands of Zoi, humanity’s biggest and most dangerous AI. After this rogue AI tried to destroy humanity 20 years ago, some humans managed to escape – but they didn’t get far. Now Zoi is back to finish what it started, and four teenage ninja cheerleaders who have only known life on a spaceship are the only ones capable of stopping the complete destruction of humanity off Earth.

Sporting an all-star, hand-drawn cast, each character will undergo their own character arcs which will tackle relatable topics such as mental health, friendship, trust, imposter syndrome and more. Cinematic cutscenes will assist in driving this narrative through the game, weaving each character together through the ups and downs of their quest for revenge and their mission to save the world. 

The game’s initial 10 levels introduce a variety of robot enemies and bosses ready for a challenge. Players will have to hone their skills if they are going to save humanity from the evil clutches of the AI.

The Gallery FMV game – interactive film releases in select London cinemas as part of London Games Festival 2023.

London, UK – 7th March 2023. Showcasing the FMV game – interactive film as the convergence of Film and Video Games; The Gallery will screen in various cinemas during the London Games Festival as an official side event from 29th March to 7th April.

Written and directed by Paul Raschid, one of the most prolific interactive filmmakers, The Gallery is a thrilling combination of hostage thriller and social drama with a dash of world film festival cinema aesthetic. Two Decades. Two identities. It’s going to take everything you’ve got to survive the night. 

The Gallery has been created to engage both film fans and gamers with its blend of high production values, stellar cast and a nuanced script depicting the film’s two time periods – 1981 and 2021 – both of which are of considerable political, social and cultural significance in UK history.

The cinema version lasts around 140 minutes with a screening of both time periods or 70 minutes with a screening of one time period.

The cinema screening takes place with a Facilitator “playing” The Gallery on a lap-top. As the audience enters, they are given “Glowsticks” which they use to vote for their choices. The Facilitator pauses the film for 2-3 seconds at each decision point. The majority choice of the audience as indicated by the “Glowsticks” prevails and the film continues.

Today, 2K unveiled the roadmap for post-launch content updates* in WWE® 2K23, featuring fan-favourite WWE Superstars, Legends and several rising NXT stars making their franchise debuts. In total, five post-launch content packs will be available featuring 24 new playable characters, providing players with new matchups for months to come. Post-launch content packs are available for individual purchase, while the full set of packs is included with the Season Pass**, Deluxe Edition, and Icon Edition of WWE 2K23.

DLC Superstars include three-time former World Champion Bray Wyatt, former Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, aka The O.C., 2022 WWE Hall of Fame inductees Scott Steiner and Rick Steiner, Hollywood icon Zeus, SmackDown colour commentator and five-time Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, and first-ever three-time WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres.
