An intense and fully interactive VR experience will be released on March 28th

São Paulo, Brazil – March, 2023 – Brazilian studio, United Games, reveals the release date for their immersive VR game – Fractured Sanity. Designed to be a short but terrifying experience, the survival horror game will launch on Steam and Oculus App Lab this March 28th.

“When we started this project, we knew it couldn’t be just another jumpscare-infested walking simulator – it had to have mechanics, immersion, atmosphere. That’s how it was with classic horror games we grew up with, so why not bring that to VR?” – Gabriel Marques – the co-creator of Fractured Sanity

Check out Fractured Sanity’s trailer:

Fractured Sanity is a thrilling story surrounding Triton Health Asylum led by a distinguished psychologist, Dr. Matthew Simmons, who has been conducting experiments on how to break someone’s id, ego and superego apart. As a protagonist you wake up in a cell of the psychiatric clinic with no memory of how you got there in the first place. You embark on an intense and heart-wrenching experience to discover what really happened to you and the staff that has been missing. In the game you will have to solve puzzles and fight for your life with ghouls that are chasing you and trying to kill you. The whole VR experience is based on realistic and interactive puzzles and mechanics which fully immerse you in the sinister story with a twist ending.

Gameplay

Explore

Locked up in this facility, you need to find your way out by collecting items, solving puzzles and interacting with everything in a physics-based VR simulation. Keeping a sharp eye for details is very important as the answer might be closer than you think.

Interact

Many secrets are hidden in this facility – you need to find out what’s going on… and how to escape. Realistic interactions make every action immersive. Opening doors, using your flashlight, levers, and more. Every item you find might be useful; read carefully and interact with the environment to solve puzzles.

Survive

Ghouls will be chasing you and trying to kill you. You can survive by shooting them down. From reloading to shooting, the gun interactions are realistic. Mind your ammo – this is not an arcade shooter and ammunition is rare.

About United Games

Started in 2016 as a side project from Gabriel Marques, United Games was a studio focused on making small mobile games, Advergames for other companies and educational videos. Around 2019 United Games started to focus on VR games and when Gustavo Longhi – Gabriel’s longtime friend – joined the team, they started working on Fractured Sanity, an Immersive Survival Horror game. In September, the team participated in VRJam, the biggest game jam dedicated to VR, where they got 2nd place over 100 games with a brand new idea called Cards of Destiny. In October, United Games went to BGS (Brazil Game Show), the biggest game event in Latin America, and got high recognition from the crowd and journalists as the only indie studio presenting VR games. Both games had big lines of people wanting to play and received very positive feedback. Now in 2023, they intend to release both games, and find their place among the greatest VR studios.

First Aussie commander launching in World of Warships!

Launching on March 9th – is the Queen of the Seas campaign in World of Warships.

In this special themed adventure, running for three weeks until April 19th, you will follow the path of an Australian bushranger who is trying to reach the mythical continent of Mu by means of a legendary ship – Brisbane.

The reward for completing adventure tasks will be a temporary resource – pirate tokens. The main rewards of the event will be:

  • Commonwealth naval commander, Matilda Kelly
  • Brisbane, a Commonwealth light cruiser, representing the royal Australian Navy

The story begins in 19th century Australia. Infamous privateer-turned-pirate, Matilda Kelly, has been apprehended following an ambitious yet unsuccessful raid on a Royal Navy man ‘o war and sentenced to life in an Australian penal colony. Join Matilda as she braves her way through the continent in search of a legendary ship which is said to help escaped convicts to reach safe haven. Destination—the mythical continent of Mu.

  • To participate in the adventure, follow Matilda’s path by clicking the different pins on the map
  • Upon clicking the pins, you will be presented with buttons to claim the missions that progress the story
  • The reward for completing the missions is Pirate Tokens, which can be used in the armory to unlock special content, including Brisbane and 19-point commander, Matilda Kelly, with a unique voiceover

Brisbane was a light cruiser project developed after the end of World War II, with more powerful and advanced air defense, and is armed with ten dual-purpose 152-mm main battery guns with a good rate of fire.

The ship is similar to the cruiser Minotaur, but with significant gameplay differences. Brisbane is equipped with HE shells, class-standard AP shells, and enhanced torpedo armament. The ship’s torpedoes are distinguished by a large number in a salvo and a good range.

The ship has weak armour, but low visibility, as well as a “Specialized Repair Teams”, which will allow you to restore a significant part of your HP. In addition to the “Specialized Repair Teams”, the ship’s consumables include “Hydroacoustic Search” and “Surveillance Radar”. In addition, the ship has improved engine performance – Brisbane can quickly pick up speed!

During the event, Brisbane will only be available for Pirate Tokens. In one of the future updates, the ship will be permanently added to the Armory for doubloons.

Check out World of Warships now to play through the Queen of the Seas adventure!

OUT NOW: Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within

Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within is now available, bringing with it the biggest multiplayer update to the game since launch, including – for the first time – a new weapon and equipment item.

Starting today, players can jump into three new maps, slay with the new M392 Bandit Rifle, conceal themselves inside the new Shroud Screen equipment, progress through a 100-tier Battle Pass, and much more (launch trailer).

Here’s a quick overview on what’s added to Halo Infinite multiplayer with Season 3: Echoes Within:

  • New Maps: Three new maps join the rotation, including arena maps Cliffhanger (ONI research site) and Chasm (Zeta Halo substructure), and Big Team Battle map Oasis (rekindled creation engines).
  • New Weapon – Bandit Rifle: Halo Infinite’s first new weapon has arrived! Designed to reward accuracy and precision, the semi-automatic M392 Bandit rifle is perfect for mid-ranged encounters. Touting formidable stopping power fit only for a super-soldier, the Bandit Rifle is at its deadliest with well-timed and well-placed shots.
  • New Equipment – Shroud Screen: The Shroud Screen is the first new equipment item in Halo Infinite, and features a hand-held launcher that enables a player to aim and fire an opaque, spherical shroud. While projectiles can still pierce the shroud, players outside it can’t see through the veil and vice versa. In addition, players inside the shroud are concealed from their opponents’ motion sensors. Tactical positioning, map knowledge and timing will be key to gaining an edge over your enemies with the Shroud Screen.
  • New Mode – Escalation Slayer: Inspired by the beloved classic “gun game” mode, Escalation Slayer comes to Halo Infinite as an all-new arena game mode! Available as both a team-based and FFA variant, Escalation Slayer requires players to eliminate their opponents to progress through a wide range of armaments. With each kill comes a new weapon before culminating in the final challenge to win, eliminating an enemy player with the Oddball.
  • 100-Tier Battle Pass: Purchase the Echoes Within Premium Battle Pass to instantly unlock the Redsteel Splinter Legendary Armor Coating for all available Cores! Featuring over 100 tiers of rewards, including 1,000 Halo Credits, the Echoes Within Premium Battle Pass also offers players a fourth challenge slot and bonus XP throughout Season 3.

Last week, we also announced that Halo Infinite’s Forge Beta surpassed 1 million creations, and 8.5 million custom games played since the launch of Custom Game Browser. And yesterday on Xbox Wire, 343 Industries’ Head of Live Service, Sean Baron, shared more insights on what to expect in Season 3: Echoes Within.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow SixSiege Year 8 Season 1, Operation Commanding Force, Available Now

The first season of Siege’s Year 8 brings an Operator with the ability to disrupt enemy technology

Sydney, Australia — March 8, 2023 — Today, the first season of Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8, Operation Commanding Force is available now. This season introduces Brava, a new Brazilian Operator, and important gameplay updates including a more immersive reload update, the MouseTrap feature launching later in the season to address players using mouse and keyboard on consoles, and further anti-toxicity measures.

Commanding Force unleashes Brava, an invaluable new Attacker equipped with the Kludge Drone gadget. This drone offers new ways to sabotage enemy technology by taking control of their devices or destroying them. An extremely adaptable Operator, Brava can gain an advantage in any environment by accessing electronic resources available to her. Brava is a three speed, one health Operator, and her loadout features a PARA-308 or a CAMRS as a primary weapon and a USP40 or a Super Shorty as a secondary weapon.

Important anti-cheat updates such as MouseTrap arrive in Operation Commanding Force, that further player protection improvements. While noticing that some players are using a Mouse and a Keyboard instead of a controller on Consoles, which provides an unfair advantage, MouseTrap will detect these players and activate a new penalty. We really want to encourage those players to return to fair play. In doing so, the penalty will add additional latency to the inputs of these users, making it harder to aim and shoot with their operator. If a detected user chooses to play with a Controller, the penalty will be gradually reduced, returning to normal after a few games.

Further anti-toxicity measures include a new Reputation Penalty for abusive voice chat. While active, this penalty mutes repeat offenders by default to prevent hateful and disruptive content in voice chat. Muted players can still use voice chat but will only be heard by players who manually unmute them.

In Year 8, Rainbow Six Siege is focused on solidifying its position as a high-intensity tactical shooter where purposeful action, precision, and creative tactics are the keys to success. The new immersive reload system aims to create a more immersive experience where reload decisions are more impactful. Interrupting the animation will leave the player without a magazine if they reload before it is completely empty but closed bolt weapons will have a single round for the player to use at any point during the reload. In addition, Commanding Force brings a balancing update to Zero, , balancing change on weapon attachments, improvements to the Play Section UI and more.

Also, new onboarding features arrive this season to assist new players in learning Rainbow Six Siege: Beginner Challenges and Operator Specialties. Operator Specialties identify an Operator’s playstyle in-game. All Operators have one to two operator specialties which can be checked during the Planning Phase, in the Operators section, and in Operator Guides. Operator Specialties aim to help beginner players learn the various Operator specialties and what they contribute to a match. By completing Beginner Challenges, players can earn a variety of rewards. When finishing all challenges within a single Operator Specialty, players will earn an Operator of the completed Specialty. If the Operator is already owned, players will earn their value in renown instead. All players can be complete the challenges and earn all rewards, not just beginners.

From February 20 until March 20, players can purchase the limited-time Year 8 Pass from $44.95 AUD to unlock the four seasonal Battle Passes, a 14-day early access to new Operators when they launch, exclusive Exotic weapon skins, a 10% VIP discount on the shop, up to 2,400 R6 Credits, and more. From $89.95 AUD, the Premium Year Pass offers all the before mentioned perks plus 20 extra Battle tokens per season that players can use to unlock rewards faster.

Season 1’s Battle Pass introduces the Bravo Pack Ticket, a rare item that lets you pick an exclusive reward from the latest Bravo Collection. This ticket will be awarded to Premium players who reach level 100 in this season’s Battle Pass as a reward for their dedication.

Rainbow Six Siege is now available to play on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, the Xbox One family of consoles, Xbox Series X | S, Windows PC, including on Ubisoft+, Ubisoft’s subscription service*, and Amazon Luna.
