SYDNEY (March 31^st, 2023) – SQUARE ENIX® today announced that award-winning HD-2D RPG, LIVE A LIVE^TM is launching on PlayStation®5 (PS5™) console, PlayStation®4 (PS4™) console† and PC via STEAM® on April 27, 2023. Previously released as a new HD-2D remake to critical acclaim on the Nintendo Switch™ system last year, LIVE A LIVE is a story-driven HD-2D RPG from Team Asano, highly regarded for OCTOPATH TRAVELER™, BRAVELY DEFAULT™ II and TRIANGLE STRATEGY™.

LIVE A LIVE will offer players the freedom to explore eight different stories with eight different characters, each set within different time periods spanning from a pre-historic era to the Wild West, and more. Each unique chapter will offer players a range of different gameplay mechanics to master, such as stealth, suspense and trap placement, all of which centre around LIVE A LIVE’s turn based battle system. Players will also be able to tailor their gameplay adventure to their preference, the episodic story format gives players the freedom to complete each chapter from start to finish in any order they choose, or even play through a little of each chapter in parallel at the same time.

Produced by Takashi Tokita (CHRONO TRIGGER® and FINAL FANTASY® IV), the original game director of the Super Nintendo version, LIVE A LIVE has been revitalised using HD-2D technology that blends the nostalgia of pixel art with modern graphics, offering a classic RPG gameplay experience with updated visuals on PS4, PS5, and PC. Players can also look forward to a rearranged version of the game’s soundtrack which has been recreated under the supervision of LIVE A LIVE’s original composer, Yoko Shimomura (FINAL FANTASY® XV, The KINGDOM HEARTS Series).

Additionally, a free playable demo is available to download from the PlayStation™Store and STEAM®. In the LIVE A LIVE demo, players will be able to play the opening sections of three of the eight stories in the game: The Wild West, Twilight of Edo Japan, and The Distant Future. Upon purchase, PlayStation and STEAM®* players will also be able to carry over their saved progress to the full version of the game**, allowing them to continue their gameplay experience from where they left off when the game launches.

Pixel-art sci-fi adventure out now on consoles and PC

In NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, players will experience the life of a daimyō, a powerful Japanese leader, in the troubled times of the Warring States Period, 16^th century Japan. As the head of their own clan, players will have to make the best decisions in in key areas ranching from the economy, to diplomacy, and military might in hopes of eventually unifying the country. To do so, they will be supported by retainers, AI officers who think and act on their own judgement. Retainers will provide submissions to the players to help them plan their battle strategy.

Players will issue policies which will impact the entire clan, and appoint land holders who will develop domains by themselves. In addition, they will also be able to appoint conservators, who can change the overall trend of the clan, as well as council officials to guide them when issuing policies. Players can even have direct talks with their officers to strengthen their allegiance and stop them from absconding, and these direct talks have the potential to open up new strategies as players deepen bonds with their retainers.

One of the series’ most popular features, siege, also makes its comeback in NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, but in an entirely new form. For the first time in the series, sieges will take place on a single map with different types of terrain and totally different castles or castle towns, allowing players to enjoy dynamic sieges and a new level of strategy. When attacking, players will need to decide where to break through and which route to take while, when defending, they will need to decide where to deploy defensive equipment and how to intercept the attacking force.

In addition, NOBUNAGA’S EMBITION: Awakening will include various features that befit the 40^th Anniversary of the series, including landmarks and achievements that will affect the strategy. Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have revealed Evil Dead: The Game – Game of the Year Edition is coming to consoles and PC on April 26, 2023. Marking the game’s long-awaited debut on Steam, this new edition of the blockbuster co-op PvP|PvE multiplayer action experience bundles the full base game with a hoard of content from six DLC packs and more, including the upcoming “Who’s Your Daddy” DLC.

Available on April 26 as part of Evil Dead: The Game – Game of the Year Edition or as a standalone purchase, the “Who’s Your Daddy” DLC features new surprises for the Survivors and Demons inspired by the STARZ series “Ash vs Evil Dead,” including:

• New Survivor – Brock Williams: Ash’s old man himself, Brock is immune to knockbacks and has several auras he can unleash to help his squadmates. These auras change dynamically based on how many Williams family members are on the team.
• New Demon – Schemer: Based on the notorious demon boss Baal, the Schemer is a trap specialist who confuses Survivors with illusions. His Meat Puppets inflict increased damage with a variety of attacks based on the fear levels of the Survivors.
• New outfits for Ash, Amanda and Pablo.

Additional DLCs included in Evil Dead: The Game – Game of the Year Edition feature a range of bonus playable Survivors and Demons with unique powers and abilities, as well as tons of cosmetics to customize your experience.

Inspired by the iconic horror, humor and action of the long-running Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead: The Game brings the franchise’s biggest names together in a pulse-pounding battle with the forces of darkness, brought to life with off-the-wall gore and visuals. Work as a team of four Survivors to kick Deadite butt and banish the vile Kandarian Demon – or become the Demon yourself, using its powers of possession to stop the good guys and swallow their souls!
