ARIZONA SUNSHINE 2 COMING TO PS VR2 and PC VR PLATFORMS LATER THIS YEAR

Sharpen your machete and load your shotgun—the sequel to the celebrated VR zombie-shooter arrives on VR platforms later this year

Sydney, Australia, May 26th, 2023 – Publisher and developer Vertigo Games are proud to announce Arizona Sunshine 2, the sequel to the best-selling VR zombie-shooter Arizona Sunshine. Revealed during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Arizona Sunshine 2 is the next-gen sequel to the fan-favourite VR apocalypse, and packs even more gore-geous zombie action!

Welcome back to sun-kissed, zombified Arizona, where you can take on the form of our dark-humoured protagonist once more to set out on the next chapter of a VR journey in search of answers. In a post-apocalyptic world where every bullet counts, experience the thrill of realistic combat as you wield all-new and fan-favourite weapons—from shotguns to machetes and flamethrowers. An all-new melee combat system will push you to the very brink of your limits as you slay Freds (the zombies, in case you didn’t know) like never before in full, next-gen mutilation glory. Check out the announcement trailer below:

Narrated by the unmistakable quips of our dark-humoured protagonist, Arizona Sunshine 2 is a direct sequel to the original thatsets you on an all-new limb-strewn adventure in search of answers. And what’s better than braving the end of the f*cking world? Surviving it with your new best friend—Buddy. Not only is Buddy your four-legged companion through thick and thin, he’s also the goodest boy and will help take down those pesky Freds for you. In this (surprisingly light-hearted) story of a profoundly lonely man desperate to find another living person in post-apocalyptic Arizona, our hero and Buddy embark on a quest for a new sense of purpose, seeking the joy that the wasteland around them cannot provide.

Arizona Sunshine 2 takes full advantage of the latest VR technology, forging a new frontier in blood-pumping, zombie-blasting action:

  • Form an unexpected friendship as you set out on a cinematic VR journey of intense survival
  • Experience the thrill of combat by physically wielding a diverse range of weapons, from shotguns to machetes—and even flamethrowers
  • Explore gore-geous, next-gen VR environments, all the way to the end of the f*cking world
  • Discover all the ways to slay a Fred through a brand-new, next-gen mutilation and gore system

With plenty of additional features to be revealed later this year.

Arizona Sunshine 2 is coming to VR platforms in 2023, and is now available for wishlisting on Steam and PS VR2.

Wage a campaign of brutal conquest in Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, a major real-time strategy game coming to PC and consoles

Tame the Realm of Beasts in a thrilling and authentic world inspired by Games Workshop’s fantasy tabletop game, which features extensive singleplayer and multiplayer modes.

Cambridge, UK – 25th May 2023 Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV, ‘Frontier’) announced today Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, a major real-time strategy game coming soon to PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, in partnership with Games Workshop®. Set in the expansive fantasy universe of Age of Sigmar, players will command four unique factions in dynamic real-time battles, experiencing a story-driven singleplayer campaign and competing against warlords afar in 1v1 and 2v2 cross-platform online multiplayer modes.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is set in Ghur, the savage Realm of Beasts, an inhospitable, violent land where only the strongest survive. In the singleplayer campaign, the forces of Order dispatch the celestial, reforged champions known as the Stormcast Eternals to reclaim this realm. After establishing a precarious foothold in this dangerous place, their fortress settlement is under serious threat from the Kruleboyz, the sinister and violent Orruk faction who call Ghur their home. When this Stormcast detachment’s leader, Sigrun, learns about a source of arcane power that can protect against the Kruleboyz, they venture into the swamplands at great risk to obtain it – beginning the campaign’s twisted cinematic tale of desperate survival. Co-written with Black Library author Gavin Thorpe, this rich Age of Sigmar narrative is based on the Dawnbringer Crusades from the tabletop game’s most recent edition.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin has been developed simultaneously for both console and PC. Players using a controller will experience DirectStep™, an innovative new real-time strategy interface enabling tactical immediacy in the heat of battle. In addition, PC players will be able to enjoy a classic mouse and keyboard control scheme that’s designed to feel familiar to RTS veterans.

With a diverse range of mission types and modes, no two battles are ever the same in Realms of Ruin. Featuring four playable factions that are completely distinct from one another visually and strategically, players will rally their armies, unleashing powerful units to turn the tides of war in their favour. From fast-moving flyers to lumbering monsters, mystical wizards and powerful heroes, each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Players will clash over Arcane Conduits to harvest resources, upgrade and specialise their forces via tech trees, and control the battle across multiple fronts as they seize victory.

Authenticity is at the heart of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin.Every unit is precisely modelled based on their tabletop counterparts, with world-class animation and state-of-the-art graphical fidelity providing players with a dramatic and thrilling vision of the Age of Sigmar universe. Ghur itself comes to life with stunningly detailed and varied maps, teeming with wild, living foliage and environmental obstacles that’ll shape players’ strategies.
