Today, 2K announced the Race to NXT Pack, the third DLC* for WWE® 2K23, the highest-rated game in franchise history according to Metacritic**, is available now. The Race to NXT Pack is headlined by Harley Race, a WWE Hall of Famer, the first-ever United States Champion, former King of the Ring, and widely acknowledged as one of the toughest competitors to ever step into the squared circle, making his WWE 2K franchise debut. This new set of NINJAGO themed content introduces new playable characters including over a dozen new LEGO Minifigures, along with a new Dragon Core control-the-point game mode that has brawlers scrambling to assert their dominance over the key territory.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — June 15, 2023 — Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games, and former creative director and lead writer of the GRAND THEFT AUTO, RED DEAD REDEMPTION, and BULLY video game franchises, among others, has founded Absurd Ventures, a media company which will create new IP across all platforms and for all formats. 

Absurd Ventures is building narrative worlds, creating characters, and writing stories for a diverse variety of genres, without regard to medium, to be produced for live-action and animation; video games and other interactive content; books, graphic novels, and scripted podcasts.

“We are building Absurd Ventures to create new universes and to tell great stories, wherever and however we can,” said Dan Houser.

Absurd Ventures launched its new website, www.absurdventures.com, where users can register to receive exclusive content and company updates. Absurd Ventures also launched its social media channels.

Until 2020, Dan Houser was the creative director and lead writer for Rockstar’s games and game series, which sold more than 500 million units, and comprise five of the top ten-rated games of all time. 

GRAND THEFT AUTO V is the most successful entertainment release of any kind, grossing more than $1 billion in its first three days, and selling more than 175 million copies to date. 

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 grossed more than $725 million in its first three days, is one of the highest-rated games of all time, and has been hailed as “one of the greatest games of the modern age.” It has sold more than 50 million copies.
