Rayman is back in the third DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
Sydney, Australia –August 2, 2023 – Today Ubisoft® announced that Mario + Rabbids® Sparks of Hope: Rayman in the Phantom Show will release on August 30. In the final DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Rayman will team up with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach as they meet again with the Phantom!
In this brand-new adventure, separate from the main game’s story line, players will control Rayman, Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario as they discover the dramatic Space Opera Network, an uncanny TV studio full of props and easter eggs. This place is run by the Phantom, a previous antagonist from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, returning as a studio director beyond reproach. With the TV studio’s ratings lower than ever, he needs the help of true stars to help him return to his former glory.
Rayman and his friends will explore brand new vertical levels on a variety of TV studio sets, as Rayman uses his haircopter ability to jump and take Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario with him. During battles, players will have tons of new tactical possibilities by leveraging the full power of Rayman’s arsenal, from his plunger blaster to his aerial traversal abilities, all coming straight from Rayman history.

– New Map – The New Motion Club – The New Motion Club is a pillar of the New York underground music scene. From Baxter Hills to Trance Ratton, countless now well-known alternative acts have gotten their start here. After a change in ownership, the venue was expanded to include a two-thousand square foot street level dance hall with the original basement stage reimagined as a comedy club. More space led to bigger bands, with many considering the New Motion Club to be a necessary stop on an artist’s path to stardom. What new ownership didn’t account for though, was a recent spike in paranormal activity. Are these ghostly parasites drawn to the energy of such a vibrant place, or are they just fans of “the scene” like everyone else? Either way, it’s bad for business, but good for busting.
– New Ghost Type – Watcher – Our studies have unequivocally concluded that this ghost type is a particularly grotesque and elusive little creature. It’s safe to assume that before you ever notice a Watcher, it’s certainly already noticed you, courtesy of its giant external eye attached via a disgusting semi-corporeal tendon. A Watcher is known for sending its occult oculus hurtling toward intended scare targets and then either recoiling it back to its socket OR pulling its torso to the eye itself, phasing through anything that stands between them. So yes, it’s a quite hideous sight all around.

This asymmetrical game of hide and seek, is a 4v1 setup where players will either play as part of a team of new Ghostbusters or a singular Ghost. Meter to sniff out rifts that act as the Ghost’s spawn points and destroy them with your Proton Pack’s particle thrower before the Ghost completes their haunt. As players progress, they will unlock cosmetics and upgrades for both Ghostbusters and Ghosts to evolve their gameplay experiences. The look and feel will give fans an immersive experience in the universe, allowing them to play out their Ghostbusting fantasies.
As the Ghost – Ghosts have multiple abilities in their arsenal, like possessing objects, of course, sliming, and more, that make haunting all the various locations a blast to play. Choose from up to five Ghosts with unique skills, ultimate abilities, and commendable minions fueled by ectoplasm. Fly around public locations and possess an inordinate amount of inanimate objects to evade pursuing Ghostbusters. Frighten citizens until they flee in fear, prank unsuspecting Ghostbusters, and hide your rifts to spawn safely in case you get trapped.

Angry Demon Studio is an independent game developer based in Skövde, Sweden, focused on creating high-quality, adrenaline-filled experiences and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in small-scale game dev.
