Meet Your Maker: New Features and Content Coming to the Game

Plus, a Sneak Peek at Our Next Major Release

New features and gameplay updates are coming to Meet Your Maker on August 15 as part of our first Mid-Sector update! We also have a special teaser at the end of this email hinting at where Meet Your Maker will be taking players next.

Here’s a quick look at some of the new features, content, improvements and more that are coming with the Rising Tides Mid-Sector Update:

New Features and Updates

  • Social Raiding Now Enabled for Every Outpost  With this update, every Activated Outpost will automatically have the Social Raid status enabled, meaning that they will always be searchable from the Social Raid menu. Progression and rewards will still only be tied to the Outposts raided from the standard Raid Map, but now Builders will be able to share their levels without worrying about losing out on standard raid rewards.
  • Introduction of Daily Challenges – A Daily Challenges system for Raiders will be introduced, replacing the current Chimera Tribute system. Raiders will now have a steady stream of exciting new tasks to complete and will be rewarded for doing so. These challenges also improve gameplay variety by encouraging the use of different mechanics and strategies.

New Gameplay Content & Improvements
To keep Raiders and Builders on their toes, we’re deploying 5 new Mods and Augments. We’ve seen first-hand how quickly the community creates when they have new tools to work with and we’re excited to see how these latest additions will shake up life for Custodians in the wasteland. All of the new Mods and Augments will be unlockable with in-game currency.

In addition, three new solid-color decals will be made instantly available for all players to further push the themes of Sector 1: Dreadshore.

And finally, the new update will be arriving with bug fixes, balance updates and UI refinements.

Sector 2 will give you the chills
Here’s a small tease of what’s coming next to Meet Your Maker. For the previous major content update, players needed to bring an umbrella… this time around, they’ll need something to keep them warm. Sector 2 will be called Shattered Peak and it’s right around the corner:

In the meantime, the Rising Tides Mid-Sector update goes live on August 15. Feel free to reach out if you have questions regarding any of these new features and updates coming to Meet Your Maker. If you want to do a deeper dive into the next Mid-Sector Update, Meet Your Maker’s official blog post has it all.

About Lifeless Worlds Studio

With its cold, dark winters, Alaska turned out to be a great place to hunker inside behind a glowing computer screen and develop indie games. Hiking the mountains and glaciers of the “great land” also provided inspiration for alien landscapes in developer David Board’s first title, Lifeless Planet. But really the story of Lifeless Worlds Studio began back in the early 1980s on a Commodore VIC-20. Board took to programming and computer art on that little machine with 5KB of memory and he never looked back. In his day job, Board develops science education apps for museums and science centers, and that passion for sharing science influences the themes and content of his games. In 2014, David moved to the Seattle area with his wife and two husky mix dogs. Lifeless Moon is his second major game.

Sengoku Dynasty Now Available On Steam Early Access For PC

Craft, Fight, Build and Rule in an open-world feudal Japan in Singleplayer or Co-op

Oberhaching, Germany, Aug 10th 2023 –  Developer Superkami and publisher Toplitz Productions are pleased to announce that its multi genre open-world RPG, city builder, life simulation and survival game Sengoku Dynasty is now available for PC via Steam Early Access.

Sengoku Dynasty offers a new perspective on the Sengoku era as players immerse themselves in feudal Japan’s tumultuous past, transforming a famine-stricken and war-torn land into their personal legacy. These are demanding times, where the path to prosperity won’t be without its obstacles.

The natural splendor of Sengoku Dynasty’s vast open world is presented in stunning detail through the power of Unreal Engine 5, and encompasses a diverse range of biomes to explore as players begin building their life in the Peasant Kingdom.

Players can set out building their legacy on their own or with up to 3 companions in co-op mode as they embark on their legacy and interact with a wide range of unique characters, some friendly and some who seek to disrupt their way of life.

Various tasks will need to be completed in order to support their village communities as they look to bring growth and prosperity during one of the most challenging periods in Japan’s historic past. The crafting of essential tools as well as the forging of melee and ranged based weapons such as katanas and bows create the means for survival and the opportunity to hunt, as well as the ability to defend what they have built.

Exploration of Sengoku Dynasty’s diverse landscape will also be necessary to gather natural resources like bamboo, stone, grass, ore and wood to build and expand villages as well as their surrounding influence. Buildings including breweries, workshops, houses, watch towers and shrines can be constructed to improve the way of life. Players can help their villages prosper by assigning jobs to the inhabitants such as foraging, crafting or building special projects. These workers contribute significantly to the player’s economy and development.

Matthias Wünsche, CEO Toplitz Productions GmbH, comments: Sengoku Dynasty is an emotional odyssey, our love letter to the captivating world of 16th Century Japan, its ancient traditions, intriguing culture, and breathtaking landscapes. In addition to the already extensive features at the beginning of Early Access, we have an ambitious roadmap that unveils a wealth of thrilling content to come. We are also convinced that our awesome community will play an important role in the further development process.”

Developer Superkami has invested relentless research into the Sengoku time period, delving into Japanese craftsmanship, spirituality, social structure, and economy, providing the game with a distinctive perspective that offers keen insights into this fascinating era.

Sengoku Dynasty is available now on Steam for PC priced $29.99 / €26.99 / £24.99 with a 15% launch discount available for one week.

The Great War: Western Front: Extra modding support & new historic mission

Re-design the battlefields of WW1 as extra modding support marches onto The Great War: Western Front.

New update complements earlier introduction of modding tools, adding terrain and GUI editors as well as a brand-new historic mission.

Cambridge, UK – 10 August 2023. Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV), and developers Petroglyph (Command & Conquer™: Remastered, Star Wars™: Empire at War), invite players to re-design the battlefields and create new stories as part of a new update for World War 1 RTS epic, The Great War: Western Front. Available from today, Commanders will receive an additional arsenal of modding tools, providing the ultimate sandbox to re-create trench warfare.

As part of an update rolled out on June 28 players were introduced to an initial set of modding tools, allowing them to develop custom campaigns and 3D assets via a Model Converter, alongside an in-game Mod Manager supporting custom audio, textures, and models. This update also introduced seven new types of infantry and three highly requested tanks, including the iconic French Saint-Chamond.

Today’s update will extend modding support with the addition of a Map Editor and a UI Editor, allowing Commanders to create unique battlefields and take even greater control of the Western Front. The update will also introduce three new Skirmish and Multiplayer maps and a brand-new historical mission, created using the new modding tools. The Battle of Vimy Ridge, considered to be a defining moment for Canadian forces during the war, saw the usage of rolling barrages deployed to provide cover for the advancing troops as they demonstrated unwavering courage to capture a critical point on the Western Font.

Additionally, Commanders can now view ongoing statistics from throughout their current campaign and reinforce their front lines with two new support trench emplacements – an Anti-Aircraft nest to keep the skies clear of enemy fighters and bombers, and an Ammo Cache which will reduce the supply cost to fire artillery batteries in the vicinity, but is at risk of detonating if destroyed.

The Great War: Western Front places players in command of one of history’s most pivotal conflicts, as they take command of either the Allied Forces or the Central Powers and aim to overturn the odds to emerge victorious from a draining war of attrition. Commanding the Western Front from both a grand strategy overview as Theatre Commander and individual battlefield RTS gameplay as the Field Commander, players must manage their Supply and National Will carefully as they seek victory. On the battlefield every decision will tip the scale between success and defeat, from the relentless barrage of artillery shells to the creation of detailed trench networks to provide vital protection from the onslaught of enemy machine gun fire. Victory may be achieved, but at what cost?

The Great War: Western Front is available to purchase now via Steam and the Epic Games Store, for a suggested retail price of £29.99/€34.99/$34.99.
