PlayStation VR2 launched one year ago, backed by a 40+ game launch window lineup which included all-new experiences like Horizon Call of the Mountain and Pavlov, as well as PS VR2-compatible titles such as Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village. Over the next 12 months, player’s experiences were expanded further: intense first-person adventures such as Synapse, Red Matter and Resident Evil 4 VR Mode; puzzlers like Humanity and 7th Guest VR; action rhythm add-ons for the likes of Beat Saber, Synth Riders and Drums Rock; multiplayer fun in the form of Among Us VR, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, C-Smash VRS and more. 

Now, following on from recent reveals of Metro Awakening and Legendary Tales by way of last month’s State of Play, several games are being highlighted below. Mortal Kombat 1 Free Trial Available March 7-10

Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios has released a new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer revealing the first gameplay for upcoming downloadable content (DLC) guest fighter Peacemaker, featuring the voice and likeness of actor John Cena. Based on DC’s The Suicide Squad film and Peacemaker series on Max, Peacemaker will join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster on Feb. 28 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners, followed by wide availability on March 6.
 
Peacemaker, also known as Christopher Smith, cherishes peace with all his heart and will kill anyone and everyone necessary to get it. In the new video, Peacemaker is ready to challenge Liu Kang’s New Era of peace and is equipped with a formidable moveset incorporating the character’s expert gunslinging skills, signature helmet abilities, and loyal bald eagle sidekick, Eagly, all complemented by his legendary dance moves and brash humour.
 
The trailer also provides a first look at gameplay for Janet Cage, a new DLC Kameo Fighter and alternate reality version of Johnny Cage who can assist during matches with a range of support moves. Janet Cage will be available as part of the Kombat Pack and for standalone purchase in March 2024.
 
Additionally, Krossplay functionality will be added to Mortal Kombat 1 on Feb. 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). The Krossplay feature will allow players to matchmake in 1 vs. 1 Kombat League and Kasual matches, invite friends for 1 vs. 1 private matches, and view leaderboard stats across all supported platforms.

Global sensation Bad Bunny takes to the Court in NBA 2K24 with special content for MyTEAM and MyCAREER in Season 5;

2K today announced that all 10 NBL teams will have their jerseys featured in NBA 2K24. Included as part of the Season 5 update launching on February 24 for Aussie and New Zealand gamers, the jerseys celebrate the refreshed and updated jersey strips for all teams in the lead-up to the NBL finals.

Each of the four heroes boasts unique Hero Powers converting leftover Action Points into helpful boons. Call upon Sage’s ability to conjure rations, Oriana’s powerful meditation that can add crucial action points, Rin’s group healing, and Auri’s ability to reduce despair. Use Action Points wisely, as they do not carry over to the next day.

Play through multiple difficulties with a friend, or practice with an AI partner. Earn points from each playthrough, building up a deck to help with future runs, with multiple difficulty levels available for replay value.

Fight as cute catlike creatures called “Nyanvy” as they wiggle and smack each other off ludicrous stages in physics-based combat. Engage in paw-to-paw battles to wear opponents down – the more damage they take, the farther they fly – then fling these fiendish furballs offstage. Remain the last cat standing across a variety of absurd arenas.

Pounce at enemies on top of a moving bus, across moving conveyor belts, or bouncing around in an old-school jungle gym. Deftly maneuver around obstacles while scooping up items, including randomly-appearing tuna cans for health and power boosts.
