Each card uses a speed system, much like the frames of a fighting game, so a heavy attack will still hit over a small block. The champions of Death or Glory make up five different classes, all with a unique play style and resource system, no mana. Piloting a mech requires managing the system’s temperature to play devastating combos. Fighting as a feral werewolf means harnessing rage to slash away at your opponent’s health. 

You can also face off against other champions and climb the ranks of glory in tense dueling battles. These arena battles sit closer to an original CCG style (Hearthstone, Legends of Runetera). Regardless of what mode players choose to champion, the experience will consistently be earned and unlock content for both PvE and PvP.

Death or Glory is available now via Steam Early Access as a free-to-play title. In-game purchases are available to unlock additional champions and different cosmetics. All game modes are and will always remain free to play.

RACE STRATEGY MEETS SKILLS

Victory in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged is about more than just speed. The game introduces an innovative Skill System, turning racing into a tactical battleground. Performance enhancements come from investing your Skills Points earned while racing in a Skill Tree composed of three branches, which upgrade vehicles in different ways; players can choose to improve boost and related features, handling, or the ability to navigate obstacles.

New gameplay mechanics also add increased depth to the racing excitement. Players can now use Single or Double Jumps for clever overtakes, dodging obstacles, and reaching shortcuts or previously unreachable track sections, while Lateral Dash allows drivers to quickly move sideways, ideal for colliding with opponents or avoiding falling off the track. These new possibilities combine with the existing Boost and Drift moves to provide players with multiple approaches to every scenario they encounter.

NEW GAME MODES AND A STORY-DRIVEN CAREER

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged introduces new dynamic game modes like Elimination, where staying too long in the last position will decree your game over, or Drift Master, a fusion of control and style perfect for drift lovers. These can be played in split-screen, just like Waypoint,the free-roaming mode where players will learn to explore environments looking for the shortest path through checkpoints. Moreover, two online-specific modes will fuel virtual battles, with cross-play* also enabling races across different consoles. In Grab the Gears, players will try to collect as many gears as possible within a designated area, while the Clash Derby mode will feature massive duels amongst Monster Trucks.

Another pillar of Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged is the revamped career mode. Here, players will team up with Robert and Darla, supported by their robotic sidekick XR046, to save the city from ominous creatures accidentally released by the sloppy Professor Tanabe.  Players will find themselves captivated by an engaging plot thanks to animated cutscenes that will give them a glimpse into the history and personalities of each character and will be called to spectacular battles against five bosses as they race to restore peace.

The Livery Editor will feature a new Sticker Editor to allow users to design, store, and share unique patterns and forms, whereas the Track Editor will provide special modules and features to boost the variety of player-generated tracks. Tales of Mathasia, a new educational game that combines fun, adventure and learning the basics of math, is making its debut on PC and Nintendo Switch. As the developers explain, the title is mainly aimed at children aged 6 to 13 and teaches counting, addition and subtraction. The game’s release date is set for October 19 this year.

The gameplay in Tales of Mathasia is based on performing math-related tasks and mini-games. The missions are simple, and the player has enough time to complete them and can count on relevant clues to understand the various rules governing mathematics.

“The Traitor’s Tomb” Update adds new area, weapons, bosses, and PvP arena on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch

SEATTLE – 20 October 2023 – Salt and Sacrifice, the follow-up to the million-plus selling soulslike platformer Salt and Sanctuary from Ska Studios and Devoured Studios, rises to hunt Corrupted Mages on Steam for Windows PC (Deck playable with Verification planned for launch) and Nintendo Switch Wednesday, November 7, 2023. A free update, “The Traitor’s Tomb,” will also launch on November 7, available to all Salt and Sacrifice owners on PlayStation 5|4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. 

As Corrupted Mages prowl Altarstone Kingdom and terrorize the realm with horrifying displays of elemental abilities, a collection of conscripted fighters become unlikely champions. PlayStationAustralia is celebrating the launch of its exclusive title and one of 2023’s most anticipated games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, with a Spectacular Save of a truck in Watermans Cove in Barangaroo, Sydney. The incredible installation portrays a truck seemingly suspended by webs and safely stuck in a sticky situation. The Spectacular Save will be in place in Watermans Cove from 9AM Friday 20 October until 4PM Sunday 22 October. Regardless, his immense power and command over other creatures, living and… nonliving, is irrefutable. On the very rare occasion that Samhain has been defeated and imprisoned, he has broken free from his shackles and risen again. Stronger… and angrier.

• Overlord – Darklock Variant – Anguish is a feeling many are aware of, but few have truly experienced. Well, be assured, it is the goal of the Darklock to guarantee EVERYONE becomes intimately familiar. As long as suffering has existed, so too has this twisted type of Overlord. Facing off against the Darklock is harrowing, indeed, not only because of the pain it can inflict but also because of the twisted sense of euphoria it emanates while feeding off the foolish few who try to stand in its way.

• Overlord – Gravebringer Variant – Human fear of death manifested, the Gravebringer drinks dread the way the modern-day skin bags imbibe pumpkin-spiced lattes; guzzled by the gallon! The Gravebringer seeks to unlock true darkness within the heart of the hopeless. Brave men and women have been left nothing more than quivering husks after only a few moments in the Gravebringer’s presence. Isolating the weakest link in the chain and dismantling one’s resolve is a favorite pastime of this corporeal monstrosity. No other creature in any realm sends a chill up a spine like the Gravebringer.

In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore open the Firehouse to you and the next generation of Ghostbusters. This asymmetrical game of hide and seek is a 4v1 setup where players will either play as part of a team of new Ghostbusters or a Ghost. This title not only allows players to enjoy the game solo or with up to four friends but also features an online and offline single-player mode, in the form of bot assisted play. Most importantly, the more you play, the more the story will unfold (with cutscenes). Those already playing will be excited to hear that this story will be expanded in the Ecto Edition coming later this year. Whether haunting or hunting, the game is easy to learn and fun to master!  

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has all the iconic gear and gadgets, from Proton Packs to P.K.E. Meters and Ghost Traps that fans would expect and new gamers to the universe will enjoy when playing as a Ghostbuster. In addition, many will recognize the Firehouse and Ray’s Occult Books that act as the game’s hub. • As the Ghost – Ghosts have multiple abilities in their arsenal, like possessing objects, of course, sliming, and more, that make haunting all the various locations a blast to play. Fly around public locations and possess an inordinate amount of inanimate objects to evade pursuing Ghostbusters. Frighten citizens until they flee in fear, prank unsuspecting Ghostbusters, and hide your rifts to spawn safely in case you get trapped.

• As a Ghostbuster – Be one of the four proton pack-wielding Ghostbusters and attempt to catch a Ghost haunting unique locations with your trusty ghost trap and tools. Use the P.K.E. Meter to sniff out rifts that act as the Ghost’s spawn points and destroy them with your Proton Pack’s particle thrower before the Ghost completes their haunt. As players progress, they will unlock cosmetics and upgrades for both Ghostbusters and Ghosts to evolve their gameplay experiences. The look and feel will deliver to fans an immersive experience in the universe, allowing them to play out their Ghostbusting fantasies.
