The indie cooking sensation brings back Trick cards and treats players to Steam Trading Cards and spooky costumes inspired by Yogscast Games titles
Bristol, UK – October 12th, 2026 – Yogscast Games and It’s Happening are getting into the spooky spirit and have cooked up a new Halloween event, launching today in PlateUp! across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Epic Games Store and launching next week on Nintendo Switch.
The PlateUp! Halloween Event brings back chaotic Trick cards to Daily and Weekly Challenge Boards, alongside frightfully fun Halloween decor and a cauldron full of new costumes inspired by Yogscast Games titles. Read all about them below:
- Go undercover in the new detective outfit while you investigate which customer made that mess in the dining room. You can also take on the role of a detective to hunt down the syndicate in the solo deduction roguelite Dupery coming out on October 15th!
- Ground control to Chef: Suit up and prepare for liftoff in the new astronaut costume and check out the demo for the numbers-go-up space roguelite Glory on Pluto before it launches on November 12th! Boost from planet to planet until you reach glorious Pluto (and beyond!)
- It’s dangerous to go alone, so take this new knight costume and dare to keep re-rolling those blueprints. In the roguelike game Dicealot, one single roll can rewrite your fate.
- Channel magic in the new witch costume inspired by the puzzle game Rhell: Warped Worlds & Troubled Times. Be careful casting, or you might end up cooked!
- Hear ye, hear ye! By The Royal Writ decree, your next restaurant shall be filled with tales of glory in the new medieval costumes inspired by this roguelike deckbuilder.
- If you can handle the pressures of the kitchen in the new diver costume, then you can definitely handle the spooky terrors lurking below the surface in The Subminer demo on Steam, an underwater drilling roguelite where each dive gets more dangerous.
There’s also one more treat for Steam players! Steam Trading Cards are coming to PlateUp!, featuring your favourite recipes from the game. Collect them all to fill up your very own virtual recipe book! Don’t forget that PlateUp! is also 90% off on Steam until October 22nd.
The new costumes and trading cards will be sticking around permanently and everything else Halloween will stay active into November so everyone gets some “boo-nus” time to enjoy the event!
