THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS: ORIGIN OPENS A NEW CHAPTER WITH BAN’S SON “LANCELOT” AND ACT 17 “HEART OF WATER”

LOS ANGELES – OCTOBER 8, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, has released a new update for its anime open-world RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. The latest update introduces the new hero Lancelot, brand-new story content, and limited-time events.

Joining The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is Lancelot, the son of Ban and Elaine, who can fight with Staff, Longsword, and Gauntlet. Lancelot equipped with Staff becomes a Holy Attacker that increases Holy-type damage for several seconds when using an Ultimate Skill against enemies with Burst activated. Using Longsword, he turns into a Physical attacker whose attack increases for a while upon successfully landing Perfect Charge. Lancelot takes on a more supportive role as an Earth Support when equipped with Gauntlet, helping the team recover Tag Gauge and boosting Earth-type allies.

Lancelot arrives with the new Pick-Up Draw “Heart-Piercing Eyes,” which will be available until October 28. Players can try out the new hero with one of his weapon types through the Hero Lancelot Trial Event and earn rewards such as Star Fragments, Supreme Mastery EXP, and more. During the “For What We Hold Dear” event, Lancelot’s costume draw featuring his exclusive skin and weapon skin, will also run during the same period.

The main story continues with Act 17 “Heart of Water,” set in the newly added region Cordin Village. As a mysterious petrification disaster spreads across the village, players will follow a story in which Tristan helps uncover the stories of the villagers affected by the crisis. The episode also introduces a mystery surrounding a stolen keepsake and hints at further developments.

The update also features the new Transcendence difficulty for [Draco King Drake] Boss Challenge, where players can acquire Transcendence Refinement/Engraving materials. Several limited-time events are underway, including a check-in event that rewards players with Brilliant Engraving Seal, Regular Hero Draw Tickets, Cube Keys, and more. “Exciting Cube Unboxing!” offers Cube Keys, Star Fragments, and Regular Hero Draw Tickets through Cube Key-based missions. Starting October 14, the returning 15-player boss battle event “Chaos That Devours the Desert” will feature Kalbash and offer rewards including Lichdragon’s Roar Weapon Selection Chest and Star Fragments.

Based on the hit Japanese manga and anime IP The Seven Deadly Sins, which has sold over 55 million copies globally, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin lets players explore Britannia in a vast open world. It features tag-based combat, combination skills, and customizable teams using diverse characters and weapons. Multiplayer elements include forming parties for exploration or teaming up to defeat bosses.
