LOS ANGELES – SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, announced that its anime open-world RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will launch its v2.1 update. Players can experience the new hero Khala, along with new raid content, an expanded Transcendence difficulty challenge, new quest, and limited-time events.
Khala, a thief from Ravens who possesses the magic of the “Shaper,” will join The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. She can fight with Dual Swords, Nunchaku, and Gauntlet, while each weapon offers a distinct combat style. For example, Dual Swords allows Khala to become a wind-type Attacker who builds up buffs and unleashes them for explosive damage. When equipped with Nunchaku, she serves as a wind-type Burst Specialist who stacks debuffs to amplify the team’s firepower. When using Gauntlet, Khala becomes an Earth Burst Specialist who builds Burst and uses debuffs to increase the team’s normal skill damage.
Players can obtain Khala through a new Pick-Up Draw “Ravens’s Thief of Honor,” available after the update through October 7. The Hero Khala Trial Event will also be available during the same period, allowing players to try her combat abilities and earn rewards such as Star Fragments, Supreme Mastery EXP, and more. Khala’s exclusive costume draw “A Belief Called Honor” will feature her exclusive skin and weapon skin.
The update will also introduce the Selective Pick Up event “Stargazer Invitation,” based on the result of the player vote. Merlin, Elizabeth, and Daisy, who are the top three heroes selected by players, will appear in hero and exclusive costume Pick-Up Draws until October 7.
New content will be added, including the new raid “Ferzen Mine,” where players can obtain rewards such as Star Fragments and new equipment. The Boss Challenge – 「Corrupted」 Ancient Dragon will expand with the new Transcendence difficulty, offering rewards including Transcendence Refinement/Engraving materials. In addition, “The Holy Knight’s Sword,” a new quest based on the original anime and manga’s story, will be added, along with the limited-time “Vanya Ale Festival” featuring event quests, mini-game, and more. The Vanya Ale Festival will run until October 23.
Based on the hit Japanese manga and anime IP The Seven Deadly Sins, which has sold over 55 million copies globally, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin lets players explore Britannia in a vast open world. It features tag-based combat, combination skills, and customizable teams using diverse characters and weapons. Multiplayer elements include forming parties for exploration or teaming up to defeat bosses.
