August 20th – Elementa’s immersive, empathy-driven 3D idol game V Project has officially been renamed StarToU. (Note: “Empathy-driven” is achieved via in-game Touch technology.)
Alongside the rebrand, the game unveiled its brand-new, self-producing hip-hop group MacGuffin, while debuting its core gameplay for the very first time.
Recently, V Project was officially renamed StarToU. The new title represents the entertainment community platform at the heart of the game’s world. At the center of this experience is “Echo,” a memory-based interactive medium powered by TOUCH technology. It invites fans to connect with their idols through immersive experiences, creating unforgettable moments together.
New Group MacGuffin Debuts: A Hip-Hop Group Bringing a Bold New Style to StarToU
On August 20, StarToU officially unveiled MacGuffin, a new self-producing idol group with a distinct hip-hop identity. Built around the spirit of “breaking the rules while keeping the fun alive,” MacGuffin combines a rebellious edge with a playful sense of humor. Their fearless attitude and unique creative style set them apart from traditional idol groups. In their first group PV, the four members Tay, Yoora, Lim, Noki make their entrance in stylish streetwear that blends trendsetting fashion with a rebellious spirit. Their mature and confident image creates a striking contrast with the three youthful trainees introduced previously, LEE, Near, and OCT, showcasing the diverse range of idol concepts featured in StarToU.
With MacGuffin’s arrival, the idol universe of StarToU continues to expand with greater depth and variety. Beyond emotional connections between fans and idols, StarToU aims to deliver a comprehensive idol experience centered around group management and richly developed character IPs. Following the brand evolution and the introduction of MacGuffin, StarToU has unveiled its core gameplay features for the first time.
As users of StarToU, players will step into the world of idols and immerse themselves in branching storylines, reliving memories through TOUCH technology. Within Starlit Stage, players can immerse themselves in rhythm-based interactions and stage performances, experiencing the unique charm of Empathy between idols and fans. Before each performance, players can freely customize their lineup, outfits, and card sets to create a stage experience that is uniquely their own. In addition, features such as the Star Journey, TOKI Interaction, and other interactive experiences will offer a richer idol development journey, allowing players to build deeper connections with their idols.
StarToU will begin Closed Beta Testing in select regions in the second half of this year, with global testing planned for the future.
