A mysterious cult known as Li has trapped thirteen “Afflicted Ones” in a gothic cathedral to participate in a grim trial. If any one of them can kill another without getting caught, they shall rise as a god. Gather clues and interrogate fellow participants to expose the true mastermind, and evade detection in a race to achieve godhood.
In this world, seeing isn’t always believing: to understand the mind is to untangle the threads of cognitive illusions critical to survival. Each Afflicted One carries a contagious, reality-altering cognitive disorder, concealing the truth in more ways than one. Spot inconsistencies between statements when OCD makes lying impossible, deduce missing evidence when Spatial Neglect obscures half the crime scene, and investigate faceless bodies as Prosopagnosia conceals the identities of witnesses and killers alike.
