Bleppo Games’ New Puzzle Game Coming to Mobile and Web Browsers 26th November
London, UK – 3rd November, 2026 – Bleppo Games, the UK independent game studio behind viral daily puzzle games Word Salad and Number Salad, today announced their next title, FIRSTS, a mini crossword designed for mobile devices and social moments launching on iOS, Android and web browsers on 26th November, 2026.
Following the success of Word Salad, having reached millions of players worldwide and been published as a puzzle book by Penguin Random House, Bleppo Games co-founders, Samuel Johnston and Mark Wainwright, were inspired by their love of puzzles to reimagine a classic – the crossword. And so FIRSTS was created.
In FIRSTS players must solve crossword-style clues by stringing together letters in a hexagonal grid to form the correct answer. As players succeed, letter tiles fall away, leaving a smaller range of letters for subsequent clues and their answers. The first letter of each answer is a blue tile, providing helpful starting points for players — and giving the puzzle its name.
FIRSTS is a fun, thoughtfully-designed, and quick yet challenging daily puzzle. Every puzzle is different, full of humour and clever quirks, which will make players want to share them with their friends and family. As the world’s first truly mobile-native crossword, it uses swiping and tapping instead of fiddly selecting and typing. This design also means it will work well as social media content, building on the viral success of Word Salad, which has racked up around 100 million views on TikTok.
