DESOLUS, Breathtaking Multi-Dimensional Gothic Puzzler, Out Now on PC and Consoles

Puzzle Adventure Masterpieces bundle includes Outer Wilds, Manifold Garden, and The Talos Principle

SEATTLE — Oct. 15, 2026 — DESOLUS, a first-person puzzle game that uses portals to traverse past and future realities from Mark J. Mayers (Outer Wilds, Manifold Garden) and The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, welcomes harbingers of the city’s salvation today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Xbox and Steam.

Enter the city of Desolus through its elegant Gothic-style gates and walkways as it stands at the center of an impending time-ending calamity. Manipulate black holes to navigate spatial puzzles, transposing architectural elements between the torn timelines. No path forward? Pluck a staircase from the past and place it in the present. Traverse Desolus’ crumbling remnants and proceed to the city’s central castle and the source of the oncoming catastrophe.

Pass through the ethereal Mirrored Garden, opening each gate with light-powered locks from both the present and the past while navigating rifts in time and space. Open the path forward by tracking the potential locations and orientations of critical structures. Sharpen spatial reasoning skills in each of the seven progressively more difficult regions.

Seek out the guardian of the Escher-like city for guidance on saving it from its own collapsing timeline, and heed their words of caution regarding their malevolent alter ego lurking in another dimension. Untangle Desolus’ architecture to reach the deepest parts of the city’s castle and put an end to the temporal apocalypse.

“DESOLUS has been my life’s pursuit for the past twelve years. I’ve poured my heart and soul into it,” said solo developer Mark J. Mayers. “I’ve spent years creating an entire city of Gothic architecture for players to explore. I am excited for players to discover this world I have crafted, filled with mind-bending architectural puzzles and beautiful scenery. I hope players find excitement in traveling through time portals, traversing massive cathedrals, and uncovering the mysteries behind the City of Desolus on their journey to save it from annihilation.”

DESOLUS is now available for $19.99 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Xbox and Steam with language support in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Dutch, Korean, Spanish (Latin America & Spain), Portuguese (Brazil & Portugal), Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

DESOLUS is part of the Puzzle Adventure Masterpieces bundle on Steam, which also includes Outer Wilds, Manifold Garden, and The Talos Principle: Reawakened.
