Cozy Builder Opens the Vineyard Gates, Out Now on Steam

[Oregon, USA, October 14, 2026] Cozy Vineyard Valley has been quiet since the earthquake, the hillsides still green and the houses still shuttered. Cozy Builder is out now on Steam, and the whole valley is yours to bring back, one house at a time. The sandbox builder from two-person family studio Pangea Game Studios is available for $14.99 with a 20% launch discount.

Every house in the valley starts as a ruin. Players rebuild them piece by piece with dormers, arches, gabled roofs and curved glass walls, and putting one back together is a question of taste rather than instruction. The demo handed players one corner to practise on. The full game gives them the rest of the valley, more pieces to build from and more hillside to wander looking for the next place worth saving.

Decorating goes just as deep, and every surface is fair game, from the shelves in the kitchen to the ivy running up the outside wall, with no house style to match and nothing to get wrong, plus a greenhouse to fill with whatever rare plants turn up on players’ travels. Cozy Builder takes a beloved genre and opens the front door, giving players full access to every interior, so they live in what they made rather than just looking at it.

The valley is not empty either. The houses going back up belong to the people who live here, and the townsfolk are good company as the place fills back in. Every château restored is somebody’s address again.

Between jobs, the hillsides are worth a wander. Grapes and olives come off the slopes, and herbs, wildflowers and rare plants turn up for anyone willing to forage. Grapes become wine, and fruit becomes jam and preserves, and for anyone who wants to leave the job alone for an afternoon there is cooking, treasure hunting and gem cutting. There is no combat, no fail state, and no clock, so nothing in the valley has to be done in any particular order.

The one thing players asked for more than anything else was to be in the valley themselves, and Pangea built character creation into the full game because of it. The whole valley can be taken on solo from start to finish, or in online co-op with a friend, sharing a single house or taking a hillside each, both players as whoever they made.

The gates are open, and the valley has been waiting a long while. Cozy Builder is out now on Steam for $14.99, with a 20% launch discount. It is also available on the indie.io store.
