Wholesome shopkeeping game Trash Goblin adds PowerWash Simulator 2 crossover, new Trinket Finder and more in 1.6 update

Quality of life improvements and bug fixes make trinket restoration more relaxing than ever!

London, England – September 3rd, 2026 – “Best Small Studio” indie game developer Spilt Milk Studios has unleashed the latest update to their fan-favourite wholesome shopkeeping game Trash Goblin. The 1.6 “Spick and Span” update introduces a host of community-requested features and improvements, alongside a special crossover with PowerWash Simulator 2, adding a new gnome trinket from the beloved cleaning series. Trash Goblin is also now available as part of a Steam bundle with PowerWash Simulator 2, giving players the chance to pick up both cosy experiences together.

Chief among the new features is the Trinket Finder, which allows you to find lost trinkets or just locate something specific. Now if you’re looking for something that’s fallen down the back of your bed, or become hard to reach behind the Soak Tub or Customer Bell, you’ll have an easy way of sniffing it out. It’s also just super handy to find things in busy areas, or when you’re not sure what is where in your busy shop.

On the technical side the game now properly supports ultra widescreen monitors, and we’ve also made changes to how the system writes to save files so corruption should be a thing of the past, and proper messaging is in place for any existing corrupted files..

Other quality of life changes include loads of fixes and tweaks for our mercy timer system, determining which trinkets are prioritised for the player in their sack, and there have been fixes to stop NPCs asking for things you’ve already sold, and they’re no longer refusing to accept trinkets either. Spilt Milk Studios also confirmed that Trash Goblin is coming to mobile, with an iOS and Android version planned to bring the cosy restoration experience to players on the go.

“We massively expanded Trash Goblin with its Artist of Brimhaven DLC and the 1.5 in May, but we’re constantly learning from our community about what we can do to make being a trash goblin an even more relaxing experience,” said Andrew Smith, Creative Director at Spilt Milk Studios. “Much like our titular goblin friend, we’re tinkerers too, and we want to ensure we’re giving back to the community by evolving Trash Goblin into the best game it can be. So thank you all for your feedback, as we continue to expand Trash Goblin into its ultimate form.”
