Advanced 1v1 Combat Takes Centre Stage, With Team Skirmish Still to Come
Sydney, Australia – 18 September 2026: Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV developer KING Art Games is taking players deeper into the game’s multiplayer with three new Battlefield Reports, beginning with an advanced 1v1 Annihilation showdown between the Orks and Necrons.
This Battlefield Report builds on the multiplayer action shown so far, showcasing more advanced strategies, units and late-game combat, expand the fight with 2v2 multiplayer and take a first look at 2v2 Team Skirmish.
Bartfield Report #3 – Orks vs. Necrons – 1v1 Annihilation
This Battlefield Report sees Creative Director Jan Theysen face QA Lead Orvie Thumel, KING Art’s best Dawn of War IV player and a former Dawn of War II shoutcaster and elite player, in a 1v1 Annihilation battle.
Orvie commands the Necrons, showcasing more of their unit roster and previously unseen late-game capabilities, while Jan leads the Orks into battle.
The battlefield report also gives players a look at configurable match settings and some of the ongoing development work to improve battlefield readability, including changes to the Necron Power Matrix, informed by ongoing community feedback.

The War For Kronus Continues
Two more Battlefield Reports are out this month:
- On 16 September, the action expanded into 2v2 multiplayer, with all four factions battling for control in a new game type – a Team Domination match.
- Then, on 23 September, Jan and Elliott team up for the first look at 2v2 Team Skirmish against a high-difficulty computer opponent, putting their teamwork, Commander choices and adaptability to the test.
