New York Games Week launches October 4-11, 2026

The Inaugural New York Games Week, Establishing New York City as a Global Games Industry Destination 

NEW YORK – Sept. 10, 2026 – The inaugura lNew York Games Week, a grand celebration of the video game industry and community, will feature events, showcases, conferences, tournaments, summits, professional mixers and meetups across the five boroughs of New York City from Oct 4 – 11.

New York Games Week partners with reputable organizations hosting their own events under the week-long celebration, providing the best opportunity for the global gaming industry to connect with the local New York gaming landscape.

As of today, the confirmed events include the East Coast’s largest pop culture convention with over 250,000 attendees, New York Comic Con, independent gaming exhibition Game-A-Palooza, the world’s first in-person Fashion in Gaming Awards, a collaboration between Women in Games and Game Devs of Color, and VGAmatuers will kick the week off with a 2-hr digital showcase streamed live on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok; the show spotlights developers, trailers, reveals, and short interviews. New York Games Week will include 25 other activities and events throughout the city, with more to be announced.

“The digital games industry in NYC is growing at an incredible rate, generating millions in economic activity and supporting thousands of jobs for New Yorkers,” said Commissioner Rafael Espinal of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. “We’re proud to support this inaugural celebration which will serve to shine an even bigger light on New York City to be a leading global hub for the industry in the years and decades to come.”

New York Games Week is spearheaded by gaming industry veterans with decades of experience, including Guy Blomberg (Games Industry Gathering), Krysti Pryde (PlayNYC), and Amit Hossain (IGDA NYC).
