Wild West inspired weapon pack arrives 15 September
STOCKHOLM – 8 September, 2026 – Avalanche Studios Group today announced the Old West Weapon Pack, the latest DLC for theHunter: Call of the Wild, will launch on 15 September for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
This latest pack takes players back in time with three powerful, iconic 19th-century classic weapons: a hard-hitting rifle, a double-barreled shotgun, and a single-action revolver. Each weapon is designed to help the player hunt the wild just as the pioneers did, surviving on the edge of the civilised world.
The Old West Weapon Pack features three firearms:
- Hween .45-90 Buffalo – based on the iconic Sharps Model 1874, the most legendary single-shot rifle of the time. This weapon delivers massive destructive force within short-to-middle ranges. A deliberate firearm that rewards absolute precision, it features highly detailed animations, an adaptive dual-mode Buckhorn sight. Choose between versatile Cast Lead Flat Nose ammo for forgiving trajectories on medium-to-large game, or high-impact Soft Lead bullets that maximise stopping power on massive game at 100-150 meters. It also includes two variants of a period-appropriate rifle scope for long-range accuracy.
- Humphrey 10G Coach Gun – this thunderous double-barreled shotgun fires heavy 10-gauge brass black-powder shells, blasting a massive, high-damage pellet spread. While its thick white muzzle smoke and unpredictable scatter demand you get close, its external hammers and partial reload, swapping only the spent shell offers great tactile feedback. Fire 10GA Brass Black Powder loaded with Birdshot for small game (classes 1–2), Buckshot for medium game up to bears (classes 4–7), or heavy Slugs for ultimate hard-hitting, short-range penetration on massive game (classes 6–9).
- Maijo .44-40 Special – Unleash the ultimate Wild West sidearm fantasy. Based on the legendary top-break Schofield revolver, the single-action Maijo .44-40 trades a sliver of raw power for lightning-fast, superior handling. Its internal automatic extractor purges instantly all six spent casings the moment you break open the frame.
