LOS ANGELES – AUGUST 6, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, announced that its anime open-world RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has introduced Derieri as a new playable hero. Alongside Derieri’s arrival, the latest update also introduces the original event story “A Reunion in Chaos,” while additional content including new quests and cooperative raids will become available beginning August 12.
Derieri, one of the members of the elite Demon Clan warrior group “The Ten Commandments,” joins The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin as the first playable hero from the legendary group. Faithfully recreating her relentless fighting style from the original series, Derieri offers three distinct combat styles through her Gauntlets, Greatsword and Axe weapons.
Her signature Duel mechanic increases damage dealt as players continue attacking enemies affected by Duel while building Combo stacks. Upon reaching the maximum number of stacks, Derieri can unleash Ultimate Skills without consuming Magic. She also strengthens Fire-element allies, allowing players to create a variety of strategic team compositions inspired by her original character design.
Players can obtain Derieri through the Pick-Up Draw. The Hero Derieri Trial Event is now available through August 26 that allows players to experience her unique combat style while earning various rewards.
The update also introduces the original event story “A Reunion in Chaos” Set in the aftermath of the Holy War. The story follows Tristan as he investigates the mysterious reappearance of The Ten Commandments while uncovering the truth behind a growing conflict involving multiple factions. Players who complete the event story can earn various rewards, including Star Fragments, Enhancement Stones, Weapons and Gold.
Players can experience Memory of Dimensions beginning August 12, . Through the new quest, players can relive Adventure’s Beginning, the first episode of the original anime. Players can relive iconic scenes, including Meliodas’ first encounter with Elizabeth and his battle against Holy Knight Twigo, through a fully playable experience.
Additionally, the limited-time event “Chaos That Devours the Desert” will run from August 12 through August 26, featuring a new 15-player cooperative raid against the legendary creature Kalbash. Players can participate in large-scale cooperative battles and earn various growth materials through event missions and the event exchange shop.
Also beginning August 12, the Half-Anniversary Countdown Check-In Event will run through August 26. Over the course of 14 days, players can earn Hero Draw Tickets, valuable growth materials and more simply by logging into the game.
The latest update also introduces Challenge! Time Attack, To the Top: Regular Season 3, and additional areas for Timespace JunctionSeason 1.
Based on the hit Japanese manga and anime IP The Seven Deadly Sins, which has sold over 55 million copies globally, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin lets players explore Britannia in a vast open world. It features tag-based combat, combination skills, and customizable teams using diverse characters and weapons. Multiplayer elements include forming parties for exploration or teaming up to defeat bosses.
