A cave expedition turns into a high-stakes fight for survival in this multi-threaded mystery
NEWCASTLE, Australia — July 20, 2026 —Advent: Dawn, the psychological sci-fi mystery visual novel about seven strangers trapped beneath a remote island, developed by Spire Games, emerges from the depths onto PC, Linux, and Mac via Steam today.
Trapped underground in a vast island cave system, neuroscientist Dr. Atlas Everly finds himself stuck with six strangers and no clear path back to the surface. Scour the darkened caverns for a way out, question the motives of companions who may be hiding more than they admit, and manage rising tensions as a deeply sinister mystery unfolds far beneath the island.
Navigate fractured trust as survivors discover a labyrinth of living crystals within the cave. Solve environmental puzzles to uncover clues about what’s really happening and open new paths forward. Return to key decision points using an interactive flowchart map and explore individual story routes. Only by tracking down each possible ending can Dr. Everly hope to find the “true” ending – and the truth about what’s happening beneath the mysterious island.
“Advent: Dawn touches on some of our deepest-held fears; being trapped in a dark cave is only the beginning,” said Spire Games. “This is a game about trust and emotional bonds, and what’s on the line when you put your faith in someone you don’t know. I hope fans are encouraged to explore the why in a story that will stay with them long after the credits roll.”
Advent: Dawn is available now on PC, Linux, and Mac via Steam, with English language support. For more information, join Spire Games’ Discord.
