Skill Awakening, New Rune “SKoll,” and More Arriving in Major Growth-Focused Update
LOS ANGELES – JULY 22, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, has released a major update for its brutal dark fantasy MMORPG RAVEN2 that introduces the new region Walthar, the new growth system Skill Awakening, and more.
Walthar is a new high-level region available to players at Level 85 and above. The first phase of Walthar is now open, featuring nine hunting grounds across two areas, Beno Imperial Castle and Lichtendorf. Raven2 will gradually introduce the remaining areas of Walthar through future updates.
The update also adds Skill Awakening, a new growth system that allows players to further enhance their skills. Players can attempt Skill Awakening on all unique skills they have, except Heavenstone skills. Once a skill reaches skill enhancement +3, players can use Skill Enhancement Stone and Skill Awakening Stone that match the skill grade to proceed with awakening. This will allow players to gain various additional effects for existing unique skills based on six Skill Awakening effect grades.
To celebrate the update, Raven2 is offering a variety of events and rewards until August 19:
- Bartram’s Special 7-Day Mission: Complete missions to receive Essence of the Sun as the final reward.
- Bartram’s Special 14-day Check-In: Log into the game during the event period to obtain various daily rewards, such as Rare Rune Selection Chest, Skill Awakening Stone Fragment, and more.
Additional mission-based events will also provide growth materials such as Rune Enhancement Stone and Skill Enhancement Stone.
The latest update also features multiple content updates. The maximum Special Corps Level has been raised from 150 to 180, and players who reach Level 170 can obtain a contract summon-exclusive Legendary Holy Garment. In addition, the 11th Dimension on Dimensional Rift has been newly added as well as the new rune, Skoll. Players can craft Skoll by obtaining Mana-Imbued Skoll Rune Fragments from specific hunting grounds in Walthar.
An official sequel to Raven (EvilBane: The Iron King), RAVEN2 is a blockbuster MMORPG set in a dark fantasy realm reimagined with unrivaled graphics. As a member of the Special Corps, players will onboard on a journey to investigate dangerous and bizarre incidents under royal order, and engage in a large-scale, cruel war.
