Special Program Commemorating “ShanFro Day” Featured New Game Details, Character Visuals, and a PV Highlighting Sunraku and Emul’s journey
LOS ANGELES – JULY 7, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, today shared new details for its upcoming mobile title, Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi. New information was revealed during a special online broadcast held in celebration of “ShanFro Day,” a fan holiday to honor the Shangri-La Frontier series.
Streamed through the official Shangri-La Frontier anime YouTube channel, the special program featured a variety of content for fans, including updates on the highly anticipated third season of the anime and a dedicated game introduction segment for Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi. Popular voice cast members from the anime also appeared to introduce characters and share more about the series.
The broadcast also offered a closer look at Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi that unveiled key visual elements from the title, including highly detailed in-game character models and dynamic skill animations. These newly revealed visuals showed how the world and characters of Shangri-La Frontier are being brought to life in the upcoming mobile title.
The latest promotional video was also revealed during the broadcast that centered on the journey of protagonist Sunraku and his partner Emul. Battle scenes and a glimpse of an original boss monster were shown, raising anticipation for the game’s unique interpretation of the Shangri-La Frontier universe.
Based on the original IP and hit web novel Shangri-La Frontier, which has surpassed 1 billion cumulative views, follows Rakuro Hizutome, a high school student known for taking on so-called “trash games,” as he enters Shangri-La Frontier, a highly acclaimed virtual reality game regarded as one of the greatest games of all time.
Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi faithfully reflects the world of the original IP, inviting players to explore the in-game universe, meet a wide range of companions and NPCs, and challenge distinctive and powerful monsters featured in the original story. The title is currently in development to deliver strategic gameplay through an accessible one-handed, two-character swap battle system. Additional details will be shared in the future.
