Travel through time on an excellent adventure on an absurd quest for extra credit
MIAMI – July 22, 2026 –LIFTED, the cinematic puzzle-platforming comedy adventure from former Disney Imagineer Jeffrey Ashbrook and his company Adventure Works, launches on PC via Steam today, with versions for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 arriving at a later date.
It’s a tale as old as time(-travel): slacker student Ari Buktu begged Professor Lionel Raventhorpe for extra credit, but he never expected an epic adventure across space and time! The eccentric Professor, smitten with Miss Barton down the hall, just knows he could woo his great love with a legendary tiara…but he’ll need help searching through eras to find it! Strap in for a journey inspired by ’80s blockbusters, with all of the escapades and none of the violence.
Step into the Professor’s time machine and visit awe-inspiring locations like 1818 Egypt, swashbuckling pirate-ridden islands, and ancient Mayan civilizations. Professor Raventhorpe may be the brains, but Ari is the brawn! Jump and swing with Ari’s trusty grappling hook just like old-timey adventurers, solve head-scratching puzzles, pull off laugh-inducing hijinks, and evade some of history’s trickiest troublemakers to reach the treasure. Enjoy fully voiced endless banter adding levity to every level, with voice acting from Joe Gaudet (Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted), Ray O’Hare (Once Upon a Wasteland: A Fallout Story), and Evan Widjaja as their furry chinchilla sidekick Julius.
After spending years perfecting his craft of interactive storytelling while developing beloved Disney Parks rides, including the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Ashbrook wanted to expand beyond live experiences. He founded Adventure Works to share his original stories while applying the immersive techniques and compelling narrative design skills he honed while designing world-class park attractions. “LIFTED is built on the principles that I learned at Disney: there can be magic in every moment,” said Jeffrey Ashbrook, Founder, Adventure Works. “From the opening cutscene to the music, down to the clever back-and-forth dialogue between Ari and Professor Raventhorpe — I wanted gameplay to feel like playing through a classic animated movie, evoking the same childlike wonder we all felt when watching our favorite childhood films.”
LIFTED is now available on PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions launching at a later date. It includes language support (text only) in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
