ATARI NAMES ANDREAS DEPTOLLA PRESIDENT OF ATARI EUROPE

Richard Snowdon appointed Vice President of Studios, Europe

Paris, France  (July 7th, 2026) – Atari today announced that Andreas Deptolla has been appointed President, Atari Europe, a new position reporting to Wade Rosen, Atari chairman and CEO. In this role Deptolla will oversee Atari’s  growing European presence, including development studios in the UK and Sweden, and business operations in Germany.

“Since joining Atari in 2023, Andreas has established himself as a valued and influential leader, contributing to the company´s revitalization,” said Wade Rosen, Chairman and CEO of Atari. “In this expanded role Andreas will direct our growing European business footprint and play a key role in reestablishing Atari as an iconic gaming and pop culture brand.”

Deptolla will continue to manage the recently established European business headquarters in Munster, which also serves as an important technology hub for the company, creating tech-based products including the world’s most comprehensive video games database MobyGames, and connecting Atari’s global business with its development resources in India.

Deptolla is a seasoned international executive with extensive experience managing technology, innovation, and large-scale initiatives. He joined Atari in August, 2023 as Chief Technology Officer. Based in Munster, Germany Andreas established and oversees the company’s IT, computer engineering, reporting and analytics capabilities, which have given the company a data-driven edge in the highly competitive gaming space. He also established the company’s presence in India, which supports Atari’s global technology initiatives and infrastructure.

Prior to his position at Atari, Deptolla served as President and Board Member at ThrivePass, a Denver-based employee benefits and technology company he co-founded in 2014. He currently serves on the boards of HR technology company Wishlist and video game publisher Apogee Entertainment.

“Europe represents tremendous potential for Atari, not only as a market for our games, but as a deep well of talent and potential partnerships we can leverage to drive our business forward,” said Deptolla. “This last year has really been pivotal for our European expansion, and we have very exciting things in the pipeline!”

Additional key positions appointed in Europe
Atari has appointed Coatsink CEO Richard Snowdon as Vice President of Studios, Europe, where he will oversee the company’s game development projects across the region and report directly to Andreas Deptolla, President of Atari Europe. 

Earlier this year, Atari completed its acquisition of Thunderful Group, strengthening its European presence through the addition of the UK-based development studio Coatsink and the Swedish studios Stormteller Games and Early Morning Studio.
