SEATTLE – June 18, 2026 – Indie game publisher tinyBuild and developer Come On Studio have today released the Sandbox Update for their critically acclaimed home renovation game, Hozy, adding new free content for all players. The Sandbox Update introduces Game Plus and Sandbox Mode, bringing even more spaces to decorate to avid relaxation enthusiasts. Hozy has players working to revitalize a forgotten neighborhood and breathe life back into a community through satisfying repairs, renovations, and stories shared between neighbors.
For budding interior designers looking to revisit already completed projects, Game Plus mode adds new content to all levels. Changes to each level vary and include things like new furniture sets, the option to select day or night mode, new music variations, and even entirely new environments, like a cafe transforming into a music lounge.
Sandbox Mode, on the other hand, allows designers limitless creativity! Players can choose between a few room types that they can decorate freely with any piece of furniture, wallpaper, paint color, window, and floor in the game. Sandbox Mode doesn’t end there, players can also add a background of their choice to the scene, choose the material for the outside of the building, add support beams or duplicate furniture to make perfect pairs. This is merely the first iteration of Sandbox Mode, and the team will continue to develop and improve it based on community feedback. Create that romantic restaurant, your perfect loft apartment or a quirky bookstore that sometimes shows old movies. Sandbox Mode puts you in control.
The decorative fun doesn’t stop with this update! In a roadmap shared earlier this year, Come On Studio and tinyBuild announced free DLC coming this September featuring three new levels and an update to Sandbox Mode. In addition, free seasonal content updates will arrive later in the year to celebrate Halloween, the holiday season and more going into 2027!
