Enjoy a sneak peek of a new fighter in the launch trailer
Hertfordshire, 25th June 2026 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA invite players to join the battle in DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round, now available alongside its free-to-play edition, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Windows via Steam®. To celebrate the launch, a new trailer has been unveiled, giving fans a look at the title’s features, story, and roster, as well as a sneak peek at a brand-new fighter.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is the definitive version of DEAD OR ALIVE 6, originally released in 2019. Players will experience the tournament’s return with optimisation for the latest hardware with renewed gameplay and features, including a new lighting system introduced to the KATANA ENGINE™, OBORO. This lighting system enables more realistic illumination created by natural ambient light and shadows.
Players can dive into the action immediately with Kasumi, NiCO, Marie Rose, and Honoka, available at launch for both DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round standard edition and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters, along with the new photo mode. Fans will enjoy exploring features such as being able to adjust character positions and poses of their favourite fighters. The online modes* “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central” will also be accessible at launch.
Additionally, fans can continue their DEAD OR ALIVE 6 journey, as players of the original DEAD OR ALIVE 6 standard edition will have the ability to carry over save data for DLC costumes, unlocked costumes, items, and more. Popular characters such as Kasumi, Marie Rose, Ayane, NiCO, and Honoka will receive five exclusive costumes inspired by other Team NINJA titles such as NINJA GAIDEN 3 Razor’s Edge and DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation.
Furthermore, players can anticipate an expanded roster, with DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round including all original 24 characters as well as five characters released as part of original release’s DLC and bonus lineup** (Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki). Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond from the highly popular SNK fighting game THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV, are also included in the cast at launch as collaborative DLCs*** alongside a costume set**** comprised of 5 stylish outfits.
In a new trailer, fans were treated to a first look the newest character to the roster, Minato, an original character created exclusively for DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round. Further information regarding new costumes and characters will be revealed throughout the year.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round and its free-to-play edition, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters, are now available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®.
* All modes except Story Mode will be available. Story Mode is playable with the purchase of the Story Unlock DLC.
