Hertfordshire, 2nd June 2026 – Today KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Omega Force have announced that DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered will be released worldwide later this year. To celebrate the start of pre-orders, details about the remaster’s new features have been revealed alongside an action-packed trailer. This remastered edition of one of the most beloved titles in the series is scheduled to release 1st October 2026 on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™2, XBOX Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam®.
DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered will not only include all content from the original DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 game and DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Xtreme Legends expansion, but also allow fans to rediscover this series-defining title with refined graphics and controls, as well as new features and scenarios. Over 40 officers from the original roster will make their return in this remaster, alongside DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS protagonist Ziluan.
Key features of the original game such as True Musou Attacks and two-player co-op make a return in DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered alongside the new “Evasion” feature. With this action, players will be able to dodge enemy attacks or temporarily withdraw from the battlefield, while evading an attack with perfect timing will trigger a “Just Evasion”; a powerful counterattack. Players will also be able to use the new “Perfect Power Guard” feature which will deflect an enemy’s attack and provide an opportunity for a counterattack to stun opponents if the classic “Power Guard” is timed correctly. By utilising these new features, fans will be able to shift the tide of battle and claim victory with powerful, tactical elements.
Challenging new scenarios featuring numerous officers that can be obtained by meeting specific conditions have also been added, allowing fans to explore the story of the original title in tandem with engaging additions. Furthermore, the “Weapon Fusion” feature will be newly introduced in DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered, enabling players to forge ultimate weapons by consuming unwanted weapons and transferring their elemental attributes and skills to other weapons.
All the newly added features will be able to be individually toggled on and off, giving fans full control over their DYNASTY WARRIORS experience. For convenience, these features can also be toggled in bulk with the “Classic Settings” option, offering an experience similar to the original title’s, whereas the “Normal Settings” option will apply the recommended settings for the remastered version. Fans can also look forward to the return of the acclaimed offline 2-player mode from the original title, giving players the ability to team-up or go head-to-head with split-screen gameplay, undertaking challenging battles in “Musou Mode”, “Free Mode”, and “VS Mode”.
In addition to the digital standard edition, fans can now pre-order DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered Digital Deluxe Edition which includes the base game, 42 weapons*, Six Secret Teachings, Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet, Officer Concept Art Collection, and a set of 42 retro costumes based on the original title.
Everyone who pre-orders the game before 30th September 2026 will receive the “Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle” pre-order bonus item**.
