EA SPORTS FC™ brings fans closer to ‘The World’s Game’ with an international tournament experience
EA SPORTS FC™ is expanding The World’s Game with a new update that brings fans closer to the drama and scale of global competition. Available for EA SPORTS FC™ 26 and EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile, The World’s Game update features a structure and intensity that draws inspiration from elite international football. With 53 fully licensed national teams, including 41 qualified nations that will be in action over the summer such as England, Germany, Mexico, Canada, USA, Uruguay, Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Australia, and more, The World’s Game gives fans the opportunity to lead their nation to glory, create their own football lore, and rewrite history. Newly announced licensing partnerships with Brazil, Spain, and Portugal, allowing players to represent some of the world’s most iconic footballing nations with official kits, crests, and player likenesses.

In FC 26, a selection of new true-to-life stadiums have also been added, including Gillette Stadium and BMO Field, alongside Central Maw – a new stadium built to capture the atmosphere of top-tier international football. EA SPORTS FC™ 26 remains committed to delivering unrivalled authenticity, connecting fans to the global game with football’s biggest competitions, more than 20,000 players across 750+ clubs and national teams, over 120 stadiums, and 35 leagues, supported by more than 300 global football partners.
The World’s Game Update delivers a brand-new tournament mode for both FC 26 and FC Mobile, with FC 26 featuring a 48-team tournament progressing through three rounds of group stage matches. From there, knockout rounds begin with the round of 32 before culminating in the tournament final. In FC Mobile, players can hop right into knockouts in setting up a customisable round of 16 schedule to lead their team to victory, with more information available in the FC Mobile The World’s Game Update Patch Notes.
In addition to The World’s Game tournament mode, one-off international matchups will also be playable in FC 26 across Kick Off, allowing players to choose from over 50 licensed nations and rewrite history to craft their own international football stories, and within Football Ultimate Team with a dedicated Event Hub and weekly Festival of Football themed campaigns.
